Finally !!!! OakAC7 saw what i saw in Gattuso the other night !!!!

People will say, well why was Gattuso on the left, that's not his side .... exactly ! He was doing the defensive duties that Seedorf, Pirlo and to a degree Kaka weren't doing !

Some call me a preacher... well yeah I was a mentor and preacher/teacher before pursuing other things that will secure my personal and family well-being. I joined MM, because I love watching Milan play and because I care about
our Ukrainian legend. Our Ukrainian would never score as many goals if he played in Juve, Inter, Real, Man U or Chelsea. I am absolutely positive of that. I think our team is one of greatest dinasties ever in football and it has such a long history and that is why we love AC Milan.
What other team in the world can claim that they advance to the 1/2 CL
3 times out of last 4 years?

Yes, there are issues and they always will be.
The team needs new blood etc. etc. But look at the big picture,
we are a dinasty in World Football, now. Nothing less. So... Lets kick some but.s - This is gonna be fun to watch.
BTW, I loved the final last May,
I think it was one of best finals EVER, even though it ended past 2a.m. local time and we (the best team) lost. This year semis are promised to be even to be more exciting...

i, for one totally agree with carlo's decisions with or without the goals. don't believe, search my posts. i have ALWAYS defended Carlo cos i feel that i can understand his reasons behind his decisions. Maybe in last 4 years no team can claim that, but Juve made it in 3 consecutive finals (96-98) and 4 semi-finals (96-99). And what difference does it make how much semis we reach or even finals, we need to win trophies. We lost too many finals, 2 in the 90s and one a year ago, that's 3 cups!!!
The reason we all should be afraid of Barca, cause our players look lazy... they played against Lyon with attitude "why should we sweat and run, we are the Grande Milan playing at the San-Siro, some one will eventualy score the winning goal and we all will hug and joy, but in the meantime lets just chill". Barca is hungry, they want it more than we do!!!!

It may have a point.

But playing Barca will motivate the team.

If we are portrayed as underdogs by the media, it will also motivate the team. Carlo will have a lot to do with it.
Great post by Kui, even though some of what he is saying may be attacking me, but its his prfoessionalism and good, thorough posts that make even me want to finish reading. We need more members like him here.
In this game I did not give up hope until the end, after Istanbul I am not sure about anything until the final whistle blows. I don't care if we are up 2-0 in the 87th minute or vice versa, to quote some retired baseball player, "It ain't over till its over." (I can't believe I'm actually quoting a baseball player )

You'd hope Barca would motivate and inspire the players ... but then surely Lyon should have done the same, especially after they equalised in the 2nd leg. But my most abiding memory of this game will be Nesta's face after he stopped that cut-back in the 2nd half ... his face was sheer agony and frustration .... it was like "What the hell is going on, start ****ing playing properly !!!!" ... That for me told me everything about our players 'urgency/motivation' or lack of it.

Just saw the Milan-Lyon rerun, I think in the end of the match Coupet and Sheva huged like they were from the same team... it kind'a reminded me Sheva and Gerrard haging and talking in the final last year.
I can't remember that kind'a bond created between two rivel players during the match or right after, what does it say about Sheva? What is his status in the players comunity? I can't imagine Ronaldo or Zidane huging their opponent player.

What do you know, I agree. What can you say? Sheva is just so respected with fellow players, the handshakes and hugs with Gerrard at Istanbul when there was so much pressure just show it. I've never met him, but by his behavior on the pitch he seems so profeesional. Nothing to add, great player...
