mk's video is the same as the what peters link shows, but I've not seen anything Nammy posted
![]() anyway, I agree with a lot of what you say. Its a possibility Sheva may have made enough contact to gain an advantage before we saw anything. But in all honesty, if thats the case, I don't see how the same can't be said about Puyol, its always a case of "what ifs". However, one thing is pretty clear to me, in most teams defenders aim to keep physical contact on set pieces with an attacking player to avoid losing them. One aspect of football is that defenders often do this quite aggressively, enough to possibly warrant fouls against them and to me, Puyol was attempting to keep physical contact with Sheva on that set piece, which is one reason he lost balance, so if Sheva did anything wrong, chances are Puyol did too. However, one thing is for sure, the goal didn't stand and thats what counts. In the end, we're talking about hypothetical situations of what may have occured. Personally, I'm going to take what evidence I have seen of the goal and make a judgement on that. I won't rule out a possibility of Sheva fouling beforehand, though to me based on the positions and momentum of the players when they came into view, the chances of Sheva fouling are very low. However, show evidence of that happening, and I'll take back saying that it was a fair goal. |

I'm sorry u right, it was Peters and not Nammy...
And about the foul, it's realy pointless to discuss about without seeing that 5 seconds before the replay starts... I mean how u can possibly guess what had happened? Maybe it was more than a contact, maybe Sheva shoved him... and maybe he didn't touched him at all, u can't know. U can't call that replay as evidence , because it's not, it's inadmissible. Both Merk and Puyol said that the foul was made way before the goal, and we didn't have a chance to see it. More and more unofficial sources are reporting that Uefa admitted that the goal was good, but I didn't see any official statement on this so that information is inadmissible too. I think this case is going to be unresolved, it's funny though that there is no full replay available on the net or elsewhere. Add to that the Moggi and refs scandal in serie a, and I realy begin to feel that Milan is deprived. |
