Lazio return for Nesta!?

Milan defender Alessandro Nesta will end his career at hometown club Lazio, his agent has confidently predicted.

The Italian international stopper was considered as a Lazio symbol after graduating through the youth ranks and winning the Scudetto with the side in 2000.

He was tipped to be a one-club man before the outfit’s severe financial difficulties saw him leave the capital for Milan in August 2002.

But Vincenzo Morabito has revealed that Nesta could one day return to the club which is unquestionably in his heart.

“Nesta’s proposed reunion with Lazio is more than a hope,” Morabito told Italian radio station Radio Incontro.

“I’m convinced that in two years, or possibly even at the end of next season, that this move could happen.
“It would allow Nesta to end his playing days in Rome and allow Lazio to aim for some bigger objectives.”

It’s unclear how some sections of the Biancocelesti public will react to the possibility of a Nesta comeback.

Although he remains one of Italy’s top defenders, he has been jeered on his return to the Olimpico with the Rossoneri.

Wat DA HELLLL IS GOING ON!?!?!?!?

rubbish.
he can go back when he's 38 like the rest of our ****ing defense.

well put meazza

From what I understand, Nesta has been on the books of GEA since the spring of 2001.

So this Vincenzo Morabito is Nesta's new agent authorized to speak on his behalf? Or just a wannabe trying to land a star client of GEA's in anticipation of the collapse of the notorious agency?

These days anyone can say anything to the media and get 3 minutes' worth of public attention. And if Vincenzo's "confident prediction" does not come to pass, he can rest assured that no one will hold him responsible.

Nesta is indispensable to Milan in the near future. But since he hasnt drank at the "fountain of youth" coming through the Milan ranks like Billy and San Paolo, he may not be able to play top notch football till 40, or even 38. Do the Milanisti want to see him retire at Milan, or do they not mind seeing him back at Lazio (or anywhere else) when he is old and used up?

he has 3 or 4 years of top football in him, maybe even 5. he should stay here untill that, everything else is our mistake.

I also agree that Nesta will play at Milan til his early 30's maybe 35 and then head off to lazio to play a couple of years b4 he retires. If thats the case im with it but other than that NO WAY!!!!. I c where his agent is coming from his came out of the lazio ranks and it will b nice 2 c him retire at lazio.

He will not leave
