Just thought of another thing, do anyone of you think that this Sheva rumor could be a diversion for Milan due to all the scandals. Thus, by talking to Sheva and telling him to state he wants to move, it will take the attention away from the scandal in Italy.

How is that an insult to us? You are basically admitting that you would rather cheat and win something illegitimately than winning a trophy in an honest way.

To be honest, I would happily take a Coppa Italia won through hard work than a tainted scudetto won by making deals with ref's and such.

To each its own I suppose.

Yeah we cheated, we actually let you win a derby. And worse yet, you actually believe you won it

We'll see who is still laughing when everything is out in the open. I am sure Juve is probably the worst, but you are no angels either.

Until then......

Untill then shut up, if you want to tell something about us just say it, if you have something to say. If not, just go and celabrate your Coppa Italia, and leave us with our own business.

Good to know that we are welcoming the investigation of our club. Let's make sure no impropriety is found and be vindicated from the stench. Though I'm glad they've finally come out with this statement, I am still disturbed by their silence... not over these recent revelations but of the past years of the stench lingering in Consperie A.
Thanks Jeff and to all those for posting the official statement from AC Milan.

what i have been reading today is that milan didnt kno about the match fixing, the refs tried to fix milan games which would favour Juves race for the scudetto.... i wouldnt be surprised if the Milan- Juve game last season was fixed, Milan should of had 2 clear penalties....

That is interesting observation... especially the second contention.

OMG...if Juve not only fix their match but also tried to fix Milan's match, they should be granted utter damnation.

Hi Kui
there is no point for Milan to make a statement when no one is accusing her.

If you are not accused of stealing the money in the bank, do you have to go to the police officer and say, "I told ya I didn't do it"?

Know what happen when you say, "hey guys, don't worry, there is no money under the ground, right here"?

90% people will dig and see whether there are $$$$ under the ground.

********
No problem.

***********

Oh but but... but if Milan did cheat, then nevermind... let Sheva go because this won't be a club that he wants to stay~~~

Graeme C is correct. I read a similar thing in Tgcom.it...

My Italian is ok but I am pretty sure I understood the gist of the article.

It seems that the clubs who will be heavily punished are Juve and Lazio with both risking life in Serie B. Milan and Fiorentina may be punished though it appears that Milan, at least, did not know about the match-fixing. They could be penalized by points.

It is rumoured that Inter will be awarded the 2005/06 Scudetto, if Milan are to be penalized (which does not make sense since they knew little or nothing about it).

If the all the broadsides today that are heralding a demise for Juve are indeed true, then Juve better prepare life for Serie B.

Frankly, to tell you the truth...sometimes it is better to be investigated like this and come out clean if we have not done anything. Of the games listed that are believed to be fixed...one also involves Inter-Fiorentina 3-2 (20-3-05).

If Inter are in the same position as us -- i.e. victims of Moggi's network -- then our fate should be like theirs is...no punishment. It seems that Moggi has influenced refs to call games...that means that don't be fooled by the notion that because Milan lost some games they could not have fixed them. Moggi seems to have conditioned referees to work their magic to get a result.

It is a sad day for Italian football.

Graeme, with all due respect, but i laughed when i read this.
The guy who wrote what you've read, must be a biased Milan fan who owns the newspaper where he's writing. Because what he's trying to sell is a conspiracy against Milan, and he'll never have success in selling it !

Think better: the refs are fixing Milan matches, they are going against the reachest club in Italy, against the president of Lega Calcio and against the most powerful man in Italy...and all of them have no clue about the fixing !

You better say you don't believe in it, because i have a feeling there is a guy here who'll "destroy" you for what you're saying

It is really not that unbelievable. If Moggi was compromising referees and one of them decided to ref Milan games (two of which we did not win)... then really Milan were the victims. Similarly look at Fiorentina-Inter...Inter are not even part of the investigations...now to fix a match it takes 2 right? no...not if Moggi is asking referees to blow a certain way without the knowlege of the team.

Like my post above says...it seems Juve and Lazio are going to Serie B...but if Milan are to be found guilty then of course their punishment should be the same.
