exactly...like I said earlier...the press are bored until the verdicts are delivered...let's wait and see.

wouldnt it present a really bad image of italian football if both Juve and Milan were sent down a league?

That mi amigo, is based on what you currently consider the image of Italian football to be?

It has been exposed, time and time again, as one of the more corrupt of the big European leagues.

This is only the biggest scandal so far, because it affects the biggest clubs.

Our lack of movement in the transfer market, even though mitigated by Berlu“s "dramatic" return to the club...is worrysome, as is Galliani“s almost, but not quite, over the top response to the Real candidate“s approach re Kaka.

The website is saying all the right things, but somehow, as the verdicts are closer to being read, I am becoming a little more concerned, though I refuse to let it detract from my watching the WCup...Portugal, thru Maniche, just scored a nice goal vs Mexico!

To relegate Juventus and Milan at the same time is simply to KILL Serie A...

The timing of the announcement is ridiculous...Thursday, right before the start of the Italian match in the WCup?

Why is it that Italians (no disrespect intended), and actually, in fact, like Jamaicans, have this streak of self destruction that shows up ever so often?

Couldnt Rossi time his announcement for after the match?

Warro, the announcement is at 18.00, the time that the stock exchange closes. This means also it would be after the match.

Click for actual article Good Maltese Charlie! But I was of that opinion because of this from the BBC:

Quote:
21 JUNE LATEST
The Italian Football Federation's (FIGC) prosecutor will issue a list of clubs and individuals that he will charge in a match-fixing scandal on Thursday.

"They (the names and charges) will be issued on Thursday after the stock market closes," Guido Rossi said.

The stock market closes at 1430 BST on Thursday which will also coincide with the start of Italy's crucial World Cup match against the Czech Republic.

Well, teams and individuals who were involved in this allready know the charges, and it won't make any difference will it be said officially before or after the match !
Charges are more or less known, but noone knows the final verdict by the judge(s)!

Ok, so, at the risk of sounding stupid, what exactly are the charges that Milan face, if any, and have these been made totally public?

I mean, I kno that Juve is accused of implementing/abetting/using the Moggi system...but what exactly are we being accused of?

I guess the words the prosecutor said are trying to lower the voice of relegating Juve. It's like "Everybody's in so keep your mouth shut!"

The number one thing the authority won't like to see is to destroy calcio industry in Italy, which is already in a slump. To have a Serie A leading by Inter & Roma and expel stars like Kaka is destroying. Relegating Milan and send four crappy teams to CL is destroying.

Milan won't be a loser in Moggiopoli, we can get one or two scudetto which is already offcially stolen, ie lost. Or, if they think we have won too much, they'd give them to Inter and some other team.

I see Milan will play Serie A & CL next year, with a chance to get some deserved trophy back, and strike the major opponent in Italy.

Cheers
