goal.com are getting more and more funny with every new report they publish...but i guess they took this **** from corriere dello sport (torino based..)...so we dont have to get excited about that...

whatever, luca brasi should do a little weekend trip to london anyway...

The guy named ABRAMOBITCH is trying to ruin Milan into pieces by pieces by taking our star one by one.
One day we will hear that he is offering Kaka for a fortune from his dirty pocket.

Don't be surprised with all his move..the day will come that Chelski with full of stars will stumble like The Galacticos...believe me!!

Ridiculous. Nesta isn't going anywhere. First, no way we even consider selling him, and second, I'm sure he doesn't want to play in England. Italian players, especially the best ones, don't go abroad. If it's true that Chelsea actually said something about Nesta, it's time to fire back and tell them to f off. I hope this pisses off Berlusconi enough that he pulls out the checkbook and starts poaching some Chelsea targets.

It's just business, if Milan wants to sell, they will, if not why can't Chelski at least make an offer and try to get a player like Nesta. they simply want to improve on what they already have, and so does Milan or any other club for that matter.
I'll tell you why there is so much hatred towards Chelsea. It is not simply because they are interested in top players to improve their squad. Of course they would be. Every team in the world would be. Any top team in the world would be happy to sign Nesta, IF HE WAS AVAILABLE. And this is what pisses me off about Chelsea. If they want to sign our players, they have to approach the club first. If the club is willing to do business, then we talk. But this is sheer underhand tactics. They spread news in the media in the hopes of unsettling the player, and then tempt him with big money. It's just despicable. Have you ever seen us seriously linked with any other club's superstars in such a manner? All I see is Galliani being a gentleman and coming out and saying so and so is not for sale. Do you ever see headlines like, "Milan linked with 50M pound bid for Ronaldino"? All I see is Chelsea and Real Madrid unsettling players of other clubs. It is as low as you can get.

The hell with Chelsea. It's time for Berlusconi to flex some muscle. Report them to UEFA. Or better yet, start unsettling some of their players or their coach. Not because we want them, but a club like this should get a taste of their own medicine once in a while.

It's probably 18 M pounds, not Euro...and it's equal to 27 M Euro which is very good sum for any 30 years old defender, even Nesta.
Juve bought Cannavaro from Inter for 3-4 Million Euro, when Canna was Nesta's age, and i doubt Milan can get more than this 27 M for Nesta.
Abramovich is probably trying to find some player to make it easier for Sheva to addapt, and he's trying to take the best out of the situation with calcio scandal.
I'm amazed how he still didn't try to get Zambrotta, knowing that LB position is problematic, with Del Horno being their best player there.

And of course, there is a huge possibility this is just another roumour !

Damn that Abramovich is something else first he get Makalele from Real then he get Crespo from Inter after that he get Sheva from Milan and now he tries to get Nesta. This "I can get whoever I want " got to stop, OK Silvo, you donīt have to buy a new star, but please don't sell the stars we have now.
I don't think he will sell but every rumor these days makes me worried

Well, what makes you think they didn't do exactly as you suggest? How do you know if a player is available unless you present an offer to the club? Where in that article did it say that Chelski approached the player without Milan's knowledge? If you are interested in a player, any player, why not present an offer and let the other club decide whether to accept it or laugh at it and reject it?

No offense but where have you been since the creation of this forum? headlines like "Milan linked with 50M pound bid for X"? make up for 90%+ of the topics on this forum and any football forum in general that's related to Milan. Check out an arbitrary thread and see for yourself - chances are that thread would be on rumours of Milan being linked to player of some team. Just some more recently mentioned names - Gourcuff, Buffon, Torres, etc, etc.
Once the article goes out, what's the point whether Galliani says whether it's true or not as hardly anyone - especially the fans of that other team - would take his words for granted.
The fact is that we are constantly being linked by the media with players from other clubs and I just dodn't see how that's dif with any of the rumours for Chelski being interested in Nesta. I can see a clear dif in how that Real M pres. candidate Calderon approached Kaka, but that doesn't relate to Chelski in any way.

I've not seen anything about this here in England, so I doubt its true, but if Chelsea approach Milan about Nesta, then its up to Milan what happens next. If an illegal approach is made, then I suggest Milan do what they did with Calderon.

I'll reverse the question for you. What makes you think that Chelsea approached AC Milan officially about the transfer of Nesta? Why give the benefit of the doubt to a team that has never proven to have any integrity in the transfer market. Do you think that Abramovich NEVER approached Shevchenko directly in the three years that he's been after him? What about the transfer of Robben? Man Utd were on the verge of signing him when Chelsea stepped in and stole him from under their noses. What about Jon Obi Mikel? If Chelsea did nothing wrong, then why are they paying Man Utd such a hefty compensation? I am convinced that a club like Chelsea does not play by the rules. They will use their financial muscle to poach any big star in the game, regardless of ethics.

As for your second point. No offense taken. But dont forget that one's knowledge about Milan's footballing matters is not directly proportional to time spent on this forum. Milan has been linked with a number of players in the past, but honestly none of them have been too far from reality. We have been linked with Torres because we have reason to be. Likewise Buffon, Gourcuff, etc...But there is a difference between being linked with somebody and deliberately unsettling their players. How many times have you seen Milan linked to a "star" player of another team, when there is absolutely no reason to be? For instance, we are now linked to Torres because both he and his club are now looking for a transfer. We are being linked to Buffon, either because of the football scandal or because some deal was struck when we loaned out Abbiati. We were linked with Gourcuff and guess what? He just signed for us. What about when we were linked to Gilardino? The transfer almost didnt happen, but eventually he signed for us. What I'm trying to say is that whenever we seem to be linked to someone, there is some element of truth and possiblity in it. Now, do you ever see us linked with a serious bid for Ronaldinho? Have we been seriously linked with John Terry? What about Totti, who Berlusconi openly admires? Have we been seriously linked to him? NO. Because we dont believe in unsettling players of other clubs when they dont wish to sell. Now, Chelsea operates entirely differently. They will be linked with every big name on the planet in the hope that the player will eventually become unsettled. Look at our Sheva for example. Or even Jon Mikel, who after already signing for Man Utd comes out and says that he was coerced and now wants to play for Chelsea. So when Chelsea suddenly becomes linked to our Nesta, do you seriously think that it's just a matter of another big club being linked to another big name? I dont think so. They are deliberately trying to unsettle him and Milan through the media in the hopes that the player may request a transfer.

I guess thats the difference between Milan and Chelsea, professionalism. We were a club that would never keep players against their will unlike Chelsea. We were a club that would fine our players if they kept playing unfairly by using their hands to score goals (Drogba, Robben). Milan isnt a club that keeps annoying clubs for their top players and unsettling their players unlike Chelsea.

Thats why Milan is respected around the world and will forever remain one of top clubs. Milan will always remain at least a class above Chelsea. Ofcourse football is mainly about winning trophies, but I think having a good team bonded together, ethics and manners play a big part in reaching that goal.

Chelsea are planning a Ģ12m bid for defender Alessandro Nesta if AC Milan are relegated in Italy's match-fixing scandal. (The Sun)
