The English press are speculating that Real Madrid are lining up a bid for midfielder Diarra. Diarra has also attracted interest from Manchester United and Milan.

I can't see how Man Utd will have enough money to buy Carrick & Diarra. Reports are that they are still looking at Duscher, the Deportivo guy. If that's the case then i'd say they're still looking at alternatives for Diarra because of his price.

I just wish we'd get in there and sort this particular transfer out one way or the other.

the 12m chelsea practically gave them for free over the jon obi mikel fiasco will probably help. A team like man u has at least a 15m-20m per season transfer budget, plus this 12m, plus the money they'll be expecting from the sale of RVN. (or, as is a real possibility, using him in a swap with Lyon for diarra)

Milan and Inter target Christian Poulsen has signed for Sevilla on Wednesday, the Spanish club have confirmed.

Both Milan giants were keen on the Danish midfielder seeing as he was available on a free transfer from Schalke 04.

Although a switch to the Rossoneri seemed a real possibility, the battling midfielder has moved to La Liga instead.

Poulsen is well known in Italy as the player who Francesco Totti spat at during Italy’s ill-fated Euro 2004 campaign.

He also hit the headlines last season after his rough treatment on Milan star Kaka during a Champions League encounter.

Poulsen , who has won 31 caps for Denmark, impressed Sevilla during last season’s UEFA Cup semi-final ties against them.

IMHO- poulsen isnt milan material.

He's a Gattuso wanna be, but isnt half as good- not to mention he makes very many fouls with violence- while ringhio knows the rules and plays fairß

Carrick will cost around £14-15m and i dont think we'll go for Diarra if he joins, which would leave Milan and Real to battle it out.

Houllier: United Move Unlikely For Diarra

Lyon coach Gerard Houllier does not believes midfielder Mahamadou Diarra will be joining Manchester United this summer.

The Mali star is one player United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is looking at to fill the void left by Roy Keane.

But Houllier said: "I don't think Diarra will be going to United. We hope Mahamadou will stay but, while there has been interest expressed in him, I don't see him going to the Premiership."

Real Madrid have also been linked with Diarra.

IMO he is going to countinue playing for lyon or go to real madrid .. we weren't too serius taking Diarra from lyon .. so i think real have better chance then us to get him if he leaves Lyon
