rt9, I understand your point and honestly, I've spoken to Debs about it. The rules are during "silly season" (i.e. transfer season, when absurd stories are released daily) to have a rumour thread and official signings thread (to attempt to manage the heavy load of activity). Seeing as I'm actually currently the only acting mod (seemingly) with only the admins helping when they can, I have been allowed to manage the transfers as I find easiest (which is why I've left threads like these rather than merge them all into one huge thread). My point was Sant was technically correct (and therefore doesn't deserve to be blasted for making his comment) in that officially the rules state to use the rumour thread for such stories. I hope now you understand why I said what I said, and why I do what I do (the official rules and the way I've ended up managing things are actually quite different).
Vadim there has been discussion about new mods and you can give further input about who you think could be good candidates here... http://www.milanmania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19350 Right, so to end discussion about this for now, I won't be closing this thread as a reasonable (in pretty much as loose a sense as you can get) source has been provided to suggest Milan are after Lucas Neill. I SHOULD merge this thread into rumours thread if I am to abide strictly by the rules. But considering that as the only active mod here, I have taken responsibility to manage things in how I find most easiest, and any negative feedback or problems in the transfer section will be my responsibility. So now that its all said and done, can we please just discuss Lucas Neill? |

I hope Milan don't sign Neill. He is not of a high enough standard IMO.

Johann Neeskens who was the assistant coach of the Australian national team and who is moving to join Rijkard at Barca has come out & said that he is good enough to play for Barca as well. If you saw his performance at the World Cup for Australia where he was a rock at the back you may think differently. Although it is unlikely that would come to Milan let me assure you that he would be more than good enough.

He can be an exceptioanl defender at times! BUT at times he acts like a right THUG on the pitch! And do Milan rearly a player like this in their team? I personally think you can do better then him.
