For those wondering about 'Gattuso IN / Diarra OUT' or 'Gattuso OUT / Diarra IN':

Have you ever heard about something named SQUAD DEPTH?

I agree. It will be a real fight to determine which 2 start out of Pirlo Gattuso and Diarra. Vogel will probably be sold..as will Ambrosini.

never thought I would say it but I completely agree
actually, I almost agree with you - this move would not add depth to the squad - this is something we already have - it would depth in quality.
I know, you probably meant exactly the same thing, just being picky about the terms
The point of getting a quality player like Diarra or someone else is to give Carlo a choice of players he would feel comfortable fielding in and benching/resting even players like Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf rather than playing them every 3 days even when they are clearly not at their best. That way we will always, or at least much more often, will have players in top form on the field rather than a 60% Pirlo who even then would preform at least as well as a 90-100% Vogel.
For exactly the same reason I would love to se Ze Roberto come as well.
As for who should leave, I would expect to see Ambro and Brocchi stay. My guess is that Vogel would be sold but this might happen in the winter break and not necessarily this summer. Same goes for Janku - he will probably be given a chance to prove himself until the winter period and if he doesn't take it, he will probaly go to Roma.

According to Braida, they haven't contacted Ze Roberto shortly after the world cup is over. But who knows?

at the bottom it says that Ze Roberto has underwent a surgery for clean up of his knee immediately after the World cup - I guess it was something he had been having problems for some time and waited for the world cup to end before he had the surgery. So, Milan are waiting to see how that would develope and make certain that he would fully recover before Braida and Galliani do anything further.

they must play janku then. drop serghino he's past his best now and perhaps if janku knows he's getting a good run rather than coming in for 1 game and having to prove himself in 70 or so minutes his confidence will improve and we could see the old janku!

I think we all know that our "Carlo" likes to play older players, so I can't see Janku and Bonera start unless someone gets injured.

? I think he will try play the younger ones this year, our "Carlo" plays players by their expierience and skill, I think Bonera might be played in at least 10 games

if carlo preferred to play older players than young ones then I am not sure why Kaka is chosen over Rui. Or Pirlo over Vogel. Bottom line is, carlo plays those players who perform best and will contribute most to the team. last season janku and Serginho were not even close in terms of performance level, and if this year Sergio continues like that, don't be surprised to see Janku benched again. If he wants a place in the first 11, he should earn that with his perfomances and not his age.

Rumours / Fantasy football: Ronaldinho is being linked to Milan in several sites:

Milan su Ronaldinho!
Clamorosa notizia dalla Spagna: il Milan prepara un'offerta da 100 milioni di euro per il brasiliano Ronaldinho. Kakŕ č piů vicino al Real Madrid, ma potrebbe anche rientrare nell'affare con il Barcellona.
(Corriere dello Sport)

translation: reports from Spain say that Milan are preparing a 100m euro offer for Ronaldinho, while Kaka will be going to Real Madrid.

Milan want Ronaldinho - report

Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo reported this morning that AC Milan tabled a huge offer for the world’s most popular player, Ronaldinho.

100 million Euros is apparently what the Rossoneri are ready to hand over to Barcelona in exchange for the Brazilian jewel.

Ronaldinho’s arrival to the Italian Serie A would also mean Kaka’s departure to Real Madrid , as Milan would need the 50 million Euros from Kaka’s sale to finance part of the Ronaldinho operation.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nice to see our management finally showing Milan's economic power. Damn how I wish Ronaldinho would be Shevchenko's replacement instead of Ibra,Torres etc. He is far better than allllll of them put together. True Kaka is better than him as an AMC but boy how I wish to see Kaka behind Gila and Ronaldinho. Anyway I hope no one takes these rumours too seriously because they are nothing more than fantasy football.

I think this is something good that every transfer window we are bidding for Ronaldinho - almost exactly like the Sheva case. Now it seems IMPOSSIBLE to leave Barca, especially after winning best player of the year, the double, and having an unbelievable team. But who knows? Maybe his wife will want to learn some Italian in the near future?

I hope Kaka does not leave even if we get 3 or 4 players. Its not good for the rossoneri fans because most of us are already in love with Kaka. Losing Sheva was hard enough, but not Kaka, and not even if Ronaldinho were to replace him.

Im really getting more curious day by day thinking of who our surprise transfer can be. Imagine it was Ronaldinho? OMG OMG OMG

Anyway in other rumours, goal.com also has an article saying that Diarra is set for Milan, but its exactly the same as the article we saw yesterday on channel4, so nothing new there. I always said that Diarra would be a dream transfer, he is such a hard-worker and an amazing engine for the team, but I wonder where will he play if we get him? he is definitely better than Gattuso in every aspect of the game (except inspiration), and is better than Seedorf,Pirlo defensively. He is also faster than our 3 midfielders and probably stronger. He also can give us strength in set-pieces as he is tall and can head out of our area, or can even score from set pieces.

I'd love to see Diarra playing for us. Not pretty sure about Ronaldinho. But he is single...

Diarra would definetely be a dream come true (like everyone has said) Although Gattuso, Pirlo, Gourcuff, Kaka, Seedorf and Diarra are all quality, which one should be benched, we cant play 2-6-2 that would be horrible...

We could manage doing something like this in the midfield...

Diarra---Kaka---Pirlo (Gattuso, eek)---Gourcuff(Seedorf)--- or...

Diarra(Seedorf)---Kaka---Pirlo---Gattuso(Gourcuff, eek)---

As you can see, Kaka is untouchable, he could not be subbed, if injury? then Gourcuff shall play in his position?!?

Warro Bantan will become famous soon enough
For all the speculation, I cannot see Kaka and Ronaldinho playing together for Milan...this would mean us playing with one striker...which Berlu has constantly vetoed...so...my thoughts? Silly season is getting into fine form...though I would love to see both playing, I rather Kaka stay, than us to lose him in exchange for Ronaldinho.
