I don't think his staying at Juve has anything to do with him being a "die hard Juventini" or anything like that. IMO the guy simply has integrity and professionalism, things that players like Emerson, Ibra, etc, etc can't read even from a billboard. I can do nothing but admire Buffon's decision even if it means him not coming to Milan not only this year but ever.

maybe as he said... once he can bring Juve back to serie A, his moral debt will be paid, and then he could come to us... let's say, Dida's contract expires next year, Juve could be back next year... and therefore...

Even though I really want him to come to Milan, I have gained a lot of respect for him after he decided to stay. It takes a real man to stay in a Serie B club with -17 points. His consciense would probably weigh on him if he ditched the club during hard times, Hopefully, as Sant said, after he leads them back to Serie A he will leave to Milanello

I agree 100 %! If Buffon doesn't come to us now, I want him to stay in Juve. Amelia has a bright future and Dida can go home to Brazil in exchange for Tevez and Mascherano!

Completely agree with you guys. Buffon's heart is clearly at Juventus, and we can have nothing but admiration and respect for that---I honestly wonder how many players in the current Milan side would step up and do what he did. If that's the case, then let him be at Juve. We should go after someone who will sign for us and play his heart out and stick with us through thick and thin just like Buffon is doing for Juve.

As for Dida, what the hell is going on? If he wants to leave, I'm sure that wouldnt be a problem, but the least he could do for us is to sign a new contract---at least that way, we can be sure to get something for him when he leaves. This way we are screwed. We cant sell him until we get a new keeper. If we dont sell him, he leaves on a free at the end of the year. That just sucks. Wish he would show a little more solidarity with the club.

Why Dida does not want to extend the contract and rather be free agent? very simple, if some other club can sign him for free he can demand higher salary or even a signing fee like what Micheal Ballack getting 2 million pounds from Chelsea.

However we can not blame Dida, it is a chess game, a player normally starts with 3-4-5-6-7 years contract then at any point in the term the club or the player can propose extention with improved or reduced wage depending on what prospect laying ahead (form, age, injury, commercial value, possible return when selling, possible departure...). In the Dida case nothing has been reached between the two parties meaning Milan did not produce any acceptable offer (in Dida's term). So both parties stick to the contract ending a year from now and Dida does not have the responsibility to do us a favour (extending) which may jeopardize his wage or even transfer later.

It is all simple business and simple money before anything like solidarity or loyalty.

I do not believe in Dida any more so if he can leave now with us getting 1-2 million, I am fine.

I would still prefer Buffon to stay @ Juve too. Dida is also one of the good goalie and I guess Milan should extend his contract.

I only have one word to say: Amelia

We can't extend his contract if he doesn't want to sign for us. This is why he should be sold now so we can get as much as we can for him. He's worth at least £6 million, if not a few million more.

He should be used to lure Corinthians into selling Tevez to us, then we can get either Amelia or Buffon.
