We won away at Chalton 0-3, Fletcher, Saha, Solskjaer and Chelsea lost in Boro so we are first.

yeah another good win, particularly as we didnt have Scholes or Rooney thanks to their bans Giggs and Ronaldo tore Charlton to shreds at times and Saha is showing that he really is a class act when he is fully fit

Carrick only played 10 minutes but should have had an assist if Ole hadnt missed, he got his goal in the end though

I think the money has been taken from my account for the spurs game . I don't know for sure yet but it looks good. Can't wait to be back at Old Trafford. I've applied for the next 3 games after Spurs too so I hope to get to a few games before Christmas.

How is that a rare moment? We've never lost a game at Charlton in the Premiership so I wouldn't call that rare.

yep, 3 games 3 wins

Arsenal struggled again yesterday and ended up losing at City so they are already 5 points behind even if they win their game in hand, Blackburn wont make things easy for Chelsea today either, they dont have the threat of Bellamy any more but Benni Mccarthy and Roberts is a decent partnership and will hopefully bully Chelsea into a draw (or even loss )

Bad news about Rio though, he probably broke his toe yesterday so could be out for a while, joining Vidic Heinze and Neville out so now we are missing our entire first choice defence, as well as Scholes and Rooney

What would you think if I made an EPL for general discussion of the league? You can keep the individual team threads, but a thread to discuss all aspects of the league sounds like a good idea to me. Maybe the La Liga and Bundesliga as well. Thoughts?

Brown im fine with, he's a class act when fit. The other 3 though always have 1 bad error per game usually Rio is there to fix it (in fact the media usually blames him for it ) but with him out injured who will be there for Silvestre's dodgy backpass, Evra's missed slide tackle and O Shea's positional lapse?

From what i've read Rio's toe is only bruised anyway and he should hopefully be back in a week or 2

Could be a good idea, the same people tend to contribute to the different EPL team threads anyway so it would bring everyone together in one thread...

Neville, Heinze, Vidic and Ferdinand will all be fit for the Spurs game. Brown will be too but he was never injured in the first place. At least when our 1st choice back four get playing together on a regular basis we will be more solid at the back. My 1st choice back 4 would be:
Neville Ferdinand Brown Heinze

Rooney & Scholes will be back for Celtic (Champions League) and Arsenal (EPL) and all games after that. Ronaldo is banned for the Celtic game though so hopefully against Arsenal we will finally be able to play our 1st choice 11.

I have got a ticket for Spurs, booked my flight and accomodation. I can't wait to get over for my first match this season.

Newcastle have signed Guiseppe Rossi from Manchester United on loan until January. Good acquisition for Newcastle. Hopefully Rossi will take some points off Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City . At least he won't be able to do it aganst Man United as he's not eligable to play against us.

I'd go for that back four too myself, though i think Fergie will try and get Vidic into the side at Wesleys expense...

Spurs arent in good form yet but they took a point from us at Old Trafford last year so its time for some revenge, shame we cant use the full side to get it though.

I prefer Brown to Vidic. Brown might be playing for England as Ferdinand hasn't recovered from his bruised toe yet. Rio will definetly be fit for Spurs.

Everton beat Spurs comfortably at White Harte Lane and Everton had 10 men for nearly the whole game so you're right in saying they aren't playing great. There was also an alleged training ground bust up between Davids and Zakoro which won't boost the teams morale after their defeat to Everton.

Yeah I want revenge too for last season against them. They equalised through a free-kick and didn't have a whole lot of chances if I remember correctly. That game was during the time when we pinned back our opponents and created chance after chance without scoring. We seem to have improved greatly in this department this season.

I think if we can pick up wins over Spurs and Arsenal then we will really set an excellent tone for our season in the Premiership and send out a strong message to other teams.
