I started watching a film called "Cypher" the other day, but it was on late at night and i went to bed instead.

However, in the bit i did watch, i thought it was a good film, very different. It's about a guy who's employed by a company to spy on other companies, but then their main rival tells him not to believe everything he's being told ... so you get confused to what is the truth, etc. It's by the guy who directed "Cube", which has a mini cult status now.

I'll have to rent it to see if the whole film is a good film or just the part i watched.

If you liked Memento, check out his (Chris Nolan) first film "Following", pretty good for his first. It's shot in B&W and has the same weird time-jumping set-up.

Waking Life is definitely more bizarre and the structure of the movie is very different - it is a series of dialogues of ideas rather than the regular movie plot. The filming technique is surreal.

This movie makes you think and is brilliantly made

Seen Memento and Donnie Darko, both are weird but still fairly easy to follow, Pi is a good film too for those of you who like these crazy films, its in black and white but dont let that put you off

King Arthur ! (great epic movie)

The Lord of the Rings I, II, III !!!!!!! (greatest movies I have seen)

Meet Joe Black (superb story)

The 25th hour (last movie that made me cry... )

Liar liar (has to be the funniest movie on earth... Of course, you've got to appreciate Jim Carrey's weird style...) and Ace Ventura II: When nature calls

A time to kill (rough movie, but good story)

Well, I'll stop now... Maybe more inspiration a bit later...

Greetz,

M

Rented a bunch of movies over the long Labor Day weekend b/c my roomie was sick as a dog.

Silent Hill--yuck, didn't like it and then I found out it was another movie based on a game. I like the weird and unusual, but this one was just too...unexplained.

Take the Lead--an Antonio Banderas movie, which I tend to like. Interesting, especially if you like music and dancing of all types.

Love to Rent--an HBO movie, after about 10 or 15 minutes we trashed it.

Bridezillas Season One--tame! Season one was so tame comapred to the total witches they have on there now! For the uninformed, Bridezillas is a show on the WE network, and we've fallen into the habit of watching it for the laughs. 2 disks, probably about 7 hours total. Yeah, pure mindless stuff!

National treasure--on satellite--for about the 20th time. Don't know what it is about this movie. Thought the previews looked intriguing even tho Nicholas Cage was in it, finally rented it abut a year ago and TOTALLY enjoyed every minute of it, to the point where if we come across it on cable or satellite, no matter where it is in the movie, we just have to stop and watch it.

I watched Once a Thief (Hong Kong version) by John Woo, starring Chow Yun Fat and Leslie Cheung. Good action comedy.
