& if I m not mistaken a couple of seasons back u guys refused to pay round abt 10 mil for the best box to box palyer in the world today (Fanky Lampard )
This clearly shows the low standard of Man Utd & its simple as that

Utd dont need a player to play as an attacking midfielder because we have Rooney who drops deep, what we needed was a player who can keep possession in central midfield and has the range of passing to locate our mobile forward line of Giggs, Ronaldo, Rooney and Saha. Carrick is widely considered to have the best range of passing in England and thus fits the bill better than Lampard anyway. As for a few years ago, he would have been on the bench behind the superior Paul Scholes

Did you know that when they came through at West Ham, Carrick was seen as the future gem, Cole the magician and Lampard was just the fat kid who got in the team because he was the managers nephew funny how things work out...

Its nice to see that even though you hate England you still consider Lampard the best at his role in the world shame he isnt, Gerrard is the best box to box player in football today, but unfortunately he plays for the one team Utd dont do business with

Is giggs having an amazing season so far?

Yeah he was player of the month for August and is totally revelling in his central role now, he doesnt have the same electric pace as 10 years ago but he still has enough to punish most players, playing on the wing meant teams could double mark him to push him too far wide to hurt them but in the centre he can skip past them if they try and tackle him or punish them with his vision if they back off

Its also a side effect of not having Ruud upfront, Ruud's lack of pace meant defences could push up without fear of him exploiting the space they left, this let them compact midfield and stifle Giggs, Scholes etc with Saha up front they cant leave space because he will destroy them for pace which means they have top back off and leave room in midfield instead.

*Lampard is the best midfielder today
*Gerrard is good but Lampard is better
*He would pick Franky ahead of Gerrard anytime

So no more discussion is required that who is better. Its clearly Franky Lampard and its simple as that

If I am not mistaken ur GREAT ALEX FERGUSUN declared Ruud as the best striker in the Europe ahead of Crespo, Henry, Trezeguet and Adriao etc when he was a UTD player. But now he is some one lacking pace and not good enough since bcoz is no longer a UTD player.

Is better? maybe but Scholes did miss most of last season with eye trouble, as for 'was' better? absolutely no chance, they year Chelsea bought Lampard for £10m he managed 5 goals, Scholes scored 20 and was Utds best player that season as we won the league. Lampard has only really developed over the last 2-3 years and even then its largely down to him being the most advanced player in a 3 man midfield, as well as playing for a club that basically buys anyone they need as Milan found out themselves this year

Now your getting confused (and not for the first time ) Ruud is and was one of the most lethal finishers in Europe but he has never had any genuine pace. That was true when he was at Utd and remains true now that he is at Real. As for whether he is good enough, Fergie clearly didnt think he was anymore, otherwise why did he start Saha ahead of him for most of last season and then sell him?

For the record i agree with Fergies decision, without Ruud in the second half of last season and the start of this one Utd looked a far more fluid side when attacking and the results cannot be argued with, in the second half of last season we matched Chelsea for points and the start of this one we have won 4 out of 4.

If you're the coach of a team, are you going to say that a player from another team is better than your own player? Of course not. If he wants to pick Lampard then good for him, that's his decision, doesn't make him right though.

Wasn't the best performance against Spurs but at least we got 3 points. I think we really missed Rooney's movement and link up play. Him and Scholes are back for Celtic. I can't wait to be at the Celtic game. Should be a great atmosphere.

-Lampard is the most dominent palyer in Chelsea (by far the best club in UK) even in the presence of world class players like Ballack, Terry, Cech, Essien. Makelele, Carvalho. Where as Gerrard is good in a team where there is no pressure at all on him, u could say a team of cowards who don't know how to play without him. So obviously Gerrard would be pointed out more eaisly as the main leader of a cheap team.

-If Chelsea really wanted him they would have got him very simply but since they have a better palyer (franky) and now class acts like Ballack & Essien, there isno need for them to spent money on Gerrard.
