looks like someone is annoyed with the ugly truth... face it... Gilardino has no right to the first team until he proves it...
and if tryin' to irritate me by sayin' i sound like an Interista is what makes you happy... you sure have a weird way of handlin' things... instead of tryin' to prove me wrong with facts... you try to get one better ahead of me with stupid insults... you obviously are the one that is like an Interista... lackin' of class... and you sure won't be missed in this forum... |

2nd: Milan cannot afford to do what you say to do. Inzaghi and Oliveria have not scored EITHER... so what on earth will make Ancelotti believe that these two will make a better partnership than Gila - INzaghi or Gila - Oli who, in some of your opinions, is the better combination? 3rd: milan will be STUPID to do that. With rotation in full - swing, you propose that he should be benched until he scored by coming off from the bench or putting in a good performance. Given that we all know how Milan use their substitution late in the game, how often do you expect off-the-bench striker (e.g., Borreillo) has much chance and, if you have, be able to capitalize it? |

Please, if you dislike him, that's fine, and nobody here will deny that. What people hate about these posts, unfortunately, is that it tends to repeat itself and bear too much subjective (not objective) point. |

let me clarify things... my priority is Milan the team... not Gilardino the poster boy of many fans... and if Gilardino is not helpin' Milan... he must step-aside... Quote:

i don't know how you can rate what are required before a player gets a startin' spot in the team... for me... it has to be somethin' productive in the minimum... and a startin' place should go to the best option in terms of productivity... and the team comes first ahead of whatever feelings there is for any player... |

i don't understand how can i be faulted for not bein' a Gilardino fan... firstly let me make this clear for the last time... i do not dislike or hate Gilardino... you & many others are makin' wrong assumptions... just because i do not adore him like you do... doesn't mean i dislike him... or just because many here have stated they dislike him & have bashed him doesn't mean i too dislike him when i am not too kind with my comments about him... my love is for Milan the team... not any particular player...
and if anyone hates my posts... they have many options in dealin' with it... ignore readin' them altogether... or addin' me into their ignore list... |

Consider this. NONE of our strikers are scoring. Who do you play then ? I'd go with Gila because the sooner he breaks his duck..the better for us. And he can only break this duck..by getting minutes under his belt. No he doesn't deserve to start every game..but then which of our strikers does ? |

Mystik... you make a good point... however at the mean time... the team is sufferin' from immense pressure & playin' Gilardino & watchin' him miss sitters isn't exactly the right way to go about things... if Milan is still winnin' easily with Gilardino not playin' his best & scorin'... i can close an eye to it... however... the team is strugglin' & therefore at this moment of time... it is a better option to choose another way of doin' things...
let consider this scenario... Gilardino starts the next 10 games... fail to perform or score... and Milan is strugglin' to get results... he gets replace by another striker who comes off the bench every game & score or assist Milan in winnin'... surely this striker should be rewarded with his good performances & goal-scorin' form with a first team place... and not because Gilardino needs the time to find his form that is the reason why he starts instead... |

2) Playing off-form players actually do get the result except against Palmero. This is, of course, not saying that Milan should keep playing off-form players. 3) In terms of whether Gilardino has contributed to anything at all: 1) he holds the ball better than INzaghi. 2) He has fewer chances than inzaghi (I am pissed with him for missing so many open chances). 3) If contribution means goals and assist, then no Gila is not doing well. But counting OR and Inzaghi as better by just scoring 1 more goal than him and you say that Gila is not contributing? It's like 'let's not play Shevchenko in Chelsea since he has only scored two goals". 4) Some members here claim that Gila's goals last year are useless, always scored when the last minute is up (or something along that line). According to your definition, Gila also played his part last season, and no one in the future should use his past performance to aim at his current level of performance. 5) I don't see how Seedorf has IN ANY WAY been playing better. In fact, he let the whole team morale down. I think most players in the team are actually quite supportiev toward Gila, contrary to your claim that the team is of low morale. 6) it's also confirmed that you blame Gila solely for Milan's inconsistency which unfrotunately, is nowhere near the true picture. Nesta's inconsistency, Seedorf's slowness, Kaka's inpreciseness in passing, poor crosses, lack of pace ... all these independently contribute to Milan's off-form. 7) Your final point is of course worth priaising. Unfortunately, most of the starting XI will have to leave their place except perhaps Dida, Kaladze, Kaka, Gattuso and Janku. Seedorf, OR, Inzaghi, Seedorf, Nesta, Bonera, Cafu etc. all do not deserve to start. 8) The team always come first, and it's ironic that you are blaming a player and claiming that it's for the sake of the team. |

2) Unfortunately, this scenario is nowhere near happening. As Mystik said, none of the strikers has been scoring. According to your case, we shouldn't field any striker then. |

Also with Inzaghi on the way out sooner than later.. Gila needs to find his form long before then. Better now.. than to wait for Inzaghi to retire then decide to play the guy.
