What a match! If Milan would play all the time like they did in the second half with Inter, we would be on the first place by now. Everyone played good (EVEN GILA) good passes, carefully, not losing the ball, a lot of pressing, good anticipations...Yes we have lost, but if Milan starts playing like that from the first half every match then we have a great future. Dida could have saved a goal from Ibra...but its OK. We ll forgive him.

Kaka, just incredible. Give him a contract for 15 years. Gila, maybe this is the start of his goalscoring. Oliv played pretty well too. If it wasn't for Cesar's miraculous goalkeeping it would have been 4-4 or maybe even 5-4. We had the lion's share of chances. Inter had maybe 6-7 and they scored on 4 of them. Nesta was horrendous today. Our defense is the worst area of the field.

I have to say I'm proud of the team today... but its still a derby loss, and it is painful.

Another thing, we had around 13 corners, but did one them look even remotely dangersous? Set pieces are a problem, look at Inter's delieveries. 2 goals came off free kicks. Pirlo needs to step up on corners and set pieces in general.

PS Karim,
If the result was the other way around I would be rubbing it in to you. You are definetely not a sore winner.
he couldn't be one if he wanted to. this is still our turf. but credit to him of course. he has been a fine member.

of course, i wish it was a 5-4, and I am sure 4-4 would do just fine. it was painful but I am not sad. I am PROUD. I feel bad for Warro, and no disrespect to him at all, but he should have stayed. In my opinion, it is any fan's moral duties to stay with the team at any time. I have never felt embarrassed by Milan. Sometimes I feel bad, sometimes I feel helpless, and sometimes I feel angry. But Milan is like a child, you are not embarrassed by your own child, are you? Again, that might be just me.

Nesta was indeed horrible, and I am really worried about that. i wasn't even worried about Gilardino, but I am really worried about Nesta. Oliveira's header might have gone in if not for Nesta's interference from behind, but that's just my opinion.

dead-ball situation worries me too. we often suffer from that, but could never benefit. this is a big question for ancelotti. also, I understand that when Inzaghi and Merdarazzi were both on the pitch, Cafu used a lot of low crosses; but when Gilardino was on and Merdarazzi was off, why didn't Cafu use more high balls? I am sure that it would help, just take a look at what Gattuso did to Oliveira (and Nesta). And Inzaghi would be more dangerous then when there is more space in the box, but we can't play with 12 men.

This is a very important quote from Carlo....

"We will take it week by week, there is a long way to go yet and the important thing is to have the desire and the strength to produce a great season"

and it's nice to know he realises we the fans haven't given up on the side...

"We were applauded off the field by our fans and that shows they understood we gave our all as we tried to come back."

Kudos to him keeping his head cool. Had all our other players been like that, more composed and more precise in the finishes, we could have won the derby.

i noticed that Xudong & zlatanov understood my post about Nesta... so i doubt i wasn't clear enough... anyway... it doesn't really matter as the game is over... however for future matches... i hope to see Ancelotti make the proper selection...

in regards to Gilardino... i'm proven somewhat right again... startin' him off the bench does have its good points... it made him work harder as well as deliverin' the goal... and that is what i wanted all along... players to earn the right to play for the team by their performances and not purely because of their reputation etc...

I still disagree with you about Gilardino. I think work ethics is not a problem for him. This kid has no doubt a heart of Milan, and I don't think starting him from the bench makes him work harder, as he always works hard. he needs a goal to start his scoring spree, and let's hope this is the one.

He is a big asset to Milan. I would keep a 0-goal-in-34-games Gilardino but not a lazy-ass-I-don't-care Seedorf. Well, seedorf was fine this game, so I might change my mind. I will keep both of them.

I'm not sure tbh, I can't remember exactly what happened. The ref was VERY poor tonight imo, but I can't be bothered to talk about him.

I think Maldini should play more, he's been performing well this year and his influence on the left today was simply beautiful (he's done that so many times lately).

I was watching it on stream, and I really couldn't tell. I saw the red and I was hoping for that, but I guess it doesn't matter now.

well, I have enjoyed a great game and great company from you all, and it is time for me to log off. Enjoy or try to enjoy the rest of this weekend, you all.
