what is so bad about Gilardino??

i'm not famous for my patience... so lol
gilardino really wasted many chances,
and he really cost us many millions,
what is the job definition of a striker?!?!
well he does not make his job clearly.
but i still have hope that he may score against inter.
if he does, then I'm assured, that he will gain immense selfconfidence, and starts to score.
until the first goal, we should still support him,
although ... how much millions does he get?!?

I think Gila needs to pay attention to the team strategy more. someone mentioned that he just runs goalwards and waits for the ball. I think it would be more beneficial if he drops back a little deeper so that he might eb able to put away rebounds and crosses etc. Milan's through balls start a bit higher up the pitch because Kaka and Pirlo cover a lot of ground.

while what you said has some truth in regards to most members here... it is far from the truth... just look at sheva-gila's comments... he clearly indicated in his post that while Gilardino missed an easy chance... he did have a go at Borriello for his misses too... while he forgot the fact that Borriello is not match sharp due to the lack of games... plus the fact that Gilardino has costed Milan a huge transfer fee & is probably earnin' over twice what Borriello is gettin' now... not forgettin' Borriello has only just returned for Milan this season... lastly... Gilardino has not scored for about 6 months... that includes the end of last season till now...

but i will stop commentin' too much on Gilardino as it has turned out to be gettin' out of hand...

I intend to stop too, as it's wasting my time now talking to a bunch of brick walls in most cases. But first, I'll reply back to you first.

True, sheva-gila failed to mention Borriello probably isn't match sharp, and tbh both him and Gila actually looked pretty good to me against Chievo. But the point remains that none of our attackers are performing at the moment. Gila should be doing better, no one will doubt this, but so should all of our strikers.

The fact is, the level of criticism (despite his expected level of output) Gila is getting is way too much, and the criticism is way too harsh. I'm not bothered that he is criticised, but the fact remains, why is he normally the only one to be criticised? Never do I see posts complaining about the poor run of Borriello, Oliveira and Pippo (who is actually the main target man this season), unless it's to retort the criticism aimed at Gila and bring across a point.

Finally, I think there have been reasons why the forwards aren't performing. It isn't just they are all failing to perform everytime, but rather I'd say the team as a whole has dramatically failed lately when attacking. Fact is, this makes it incredibly difficult for forwards to try and get reasonable chances.

Well, I agree with this statement. Because last year Gila scored only in the games, which would have been won anyway, even without his goals. So, really, he wasnt of much use for us last season...and this season its even worse..he is just a waste of space and money. And Inzaghi didnt get many chances to play last season. Gila was constantly in the starting line up. Even now he still is in the starting line up, although I think at the moment Oliveira is showing better performance.

Well, you are wrong my dear, Sheva did assists...actually quite a lot of assists. So dont say that noone does.

Gila doesnt have a vision...he doesnt understand where the cross will land..he constantly runs for the cross in the wrong direction. Same with passing.

Gila scored today for all the muppets writing him off.

Well know he's tied with Oli and Pippo. So lay off him.

and he scored with a header ... from a cross ... he must have read your comments about him not knowing where the cross will land Egoistka

let's leave him alone. It's important to figure out how to motivate the team more than motivate an individiual.

Hopefully Gila will start scoring now. In the last couple of games he has found the net three times, two being ruled offside. Never the less these are major signs of improvement and the goal means so much to him and Milan.

He and Gourcuff's iminent return will be like new signings for us.
