K77SH C... you defended Gilardino... he had only 1 good game to date... yet you are here askin' to replace a player that was brilliant since the start of the season...
In the summer Gila said he would stay even if Milan go down. Dida on the other hand refuses to sign a new contract despite the faith Milan showed in him. I believe Gila will come good whereas Dida is worrying for me.

in regards to the new contract... Dida is always a quiet person... very private... and we never know what is goin' on with the contract extension talks... for all we know Milan is offerin' him a very unfair packaged deal...

don't forget... Gilardino was offered a contract despite his poor form... and when Dida was goin' through his bad patch... Milan were not exactly interested in extendin' his contract back than... so how is he to feel? somewhat let down by the same club that showed Gilardino alot of blind faith... yet not the same for him...

Nope Milan offered Dida a contract extension when he was going through bad form and still he didnt repay the faith.

I have to agree with both of you partially and disagree with both of you partially.

Both Dida and Gilardino are loyal Milan players and I believe that from the bottom of my hearts. We never know, but I would not be too surprised if both stayed with us had we been demoted.

Both had difficult time and the club showed faith in both (however, I would say that it seems that our club shows more so in Gilardino, after all he is younger, and unlike goalkeeper, a team could play 1 or 2 or 3 attackers; and I am not so sure but Dida seems more hurt in Buffon rumors; but let's not forget, it was Buffon we were talking about and it was last season's Dida we were comparing with).

So I don't think that loyalty or faithfulness is the issue here; I would rather think of it as nostalgia and age.

Back to the topic, I would keep Dida at all cost, unless it is Buffon.

sorry to inform you... Dida's contract extension was put aside after his blunders... after which they only started contract talks this season... remember all the suckin' up to Dida lately? that was to try to convince him again to open contract talks...

i dont think we should be held ransom to his demands, if Dida wants a stupid pay increase i would let him go, Dida is good, but Buffon is alot better, he inspires confidence through the team... Amelia with the right guidence will be a hell of a player!

His extension was never put aside. He was/is just taking way too long to come to a decision. Of course we would talk to Juve about Buffon.. what would we do if Dida decides to leave ? Can't wait till last minute to secure a player for a spot as important as GK.

still dont understand why this subject will ever be brought up. Hardly his problem at all during the derby. In my opinion, it should be 'replace Nesta'?

if my source is right, dida did ask for a pay raise, but it is only from 1.5m to 2m, I wouldn't call that outrageous.

What does it matter whether Dida still has it? He cant be our goalie forever can he? We should start planning for his departure whether or not he signs a new contract. he is now what 35? How much longer can he play for us? I say if he signs an extension, we ought to sign Amelia and loan him out for a couple of years. By the time Dida retires he will be ready. If Dida doesnt sign, then we get Buffon---who is an immediate replacement. He is fairly young for a goalie and can give us plenty of years.

Problem is, with Inter in for Buffon too, we are looking at the prospect of haing to pay as much as 30 mil for him. Of course to make things even more interesting, one could throw in the fact that Juve haven't been very happy selling players to us.

edit: Plus, who knows, if they ship also Buffon to Inter and Juve appeals to TAR, their penalty may very well be reduced to 0 pts and maybe even the 04/05 scudetto could be thrown in as a big "sorry" by Inter on behalf of the rest of Serie A.

Dida the 2nd best gk after Buffon?????
He is such a useless coward that I can't find words to blame him in a decent manner like a gentleman, if I said what I feel for him being a Milan fan, I would certainly get a permanent banned at MM . The only thing I wana say is that son of b!tch Inter Milan fan who hit him during the CL QF in 2005 didn't use something harder so we could have get rid of that coward once and for all . He has cost us every happiness sice that Champions League final in 2003 wher he actually by chance got the edge over Buffon .
We do need a quality keeper and who we have as first choice at goal??? The Coward Dida who dont have the guts to keep clean sheets behind the best defending pair of all time (Paolo-Nesta). Acutally he dont even know the meaning of cleansheet . When u can't keep cleansheet behind Paolo, Nesta & Stam then its impossible for him to keep a clean sheet behind Paolo and Nesta only.

What the hell is wrong with our managment??? Can't they se we need a keeper. It seems that AC Milan are trying to make some history by playing with 10 men (u cant count Dida as a palyer, he is spectator who watches easy goals going in and makes the AC Milan fans feel humiliated infront of other club fans)

He is the last persson I wana see on my TV screen, if it wasnt for that AC Milan logo on his kit, I would have certainly broke my TV screen whenever he had appeared on it .

Get rid of that selfish, coward, gutless, useless and lazy Giant an bring some one who has the guts to feel like a Milan player and who makes us proud unlike Dida.
Best choices
-Buffon
-Cudcini
-Shey Given
-Iker Casillis
