Moratti you are a liar!

The owner then admitted that he would like to sign Leo Messi of Barcelona, whom he considers “the best player around”, but denied any contact with Gianluigi Buffon of Juventus.

“I would never dare to face a similar conversation with a club that is going through a difficult moment, seeing as they are in Serie B,” he added.

“In any case, Julio Cesar has excellent qualities and I trust him. We also have Francesco Toldo who we all know is a great goalkeeper.
***************

you poached Viera and Ibrahamovic off them you two faced twat.

This dosn't really merit a thread because there's nothing to discuss, it just shocked me he could be so two-faced.

As much as i'd like to join you guys in attacking Moratti, this time i have to agree with Bresciano.
Juve was the team selling. Noone stole Juve players, but Juve was the team that offered it's players on the market. The financial situation was awfull, and there was no chance of paying those wages to Cannavaro, Thuram, Vieira or Ibrahimovic.
If Juve didn't sell Ibra, they would have sold some other high wager, but with Ibra's form and Vieira's too high wage, Juve can concider themselves lucky for finding a buyer.
Inter was just the team that offered more than the others. It was pure bussines.

Obviously Moratti was trying to deny 'any contact', but it is interesting that if one has 'no contact', then obviously there would be no sale, right? the fact as you pointed out, 'inter just offered more, was that some kind of 'contact'?

to me, Moratti is not just a liar, he is a bad liar, a stupid liar. he is like a thief, after stealing twice successfully from a poor guy's house, was caught at the third time and talking like 'I feel bad about this poor guy, I would never steal from him.'.

Yes, but Juve didn't want to let all the stars go... they kept some less expensive good players who could have been sold, like Camoranesi, Nevded (a veteran), Del Piero (too much of a symbol, not for sale), Buffon (best GK in the world, and gentleman for his decision), etc.

In other words, Inter likes to pay... they got Vieira for their overpopulated CM role... and were the only ones fool enough to pay so much for Ibrahimovich

Overpopulated CM role?

Before Vieira we had Cambiasso and Veron and Pizzaro,, 3 players, one sub, C.Zanetti is a bit of a DM more than a CM.
Veron left, Pizzaro left after Mancio said he will not be integral in his team, which I am completely against, he would have helped a lot. and Zanetti left.

We bought Dacourt, good DM, we got Maxwell a good all round player, we got then a star creator, Vieira a CM and have Cambiasso. where is the overpopulation, we have now a lack of CM with both Cambi and Vieira injuried, thank God Deki is on form, he's also an excellent anywhere player.

Regarding Moratti, i think his statement is false, yes we were heavily connected to Gigi, but I think that Moratti is a bit surprised with toldo and JC mainly JC's performance, I think JC stinks, but I don't think we must get Buffon, I am always for Toldo because of his abilities, cool temper and class.

Acquiring 2 CM's when you're still playing Stankovic on the left?

Well, yeah, of course noone really trusts Moratti here. But i think he ain't denying any contact with Juve about Vieira and Ibrahimovic. He's presenting the purchase of the duo (37 M Euro for both players) as a hand given to a club in trouble, not as a damage made to Juve.
While now, when Juve is succesfully surviving the bad period, he's acting as a gentleman who won't hurt Juve while they're in trouble.
Roughly translated: he knows he can't buy Gigi in January and that's why he says he won't hurt a serie B team in trouble, while in June, with the 130 M Euro help from the Agnelli's Juve will stand on their feet again, and even more, they won't be a serie B club anymore, and Moratti will then make the contact with a serie A team that's not in trouble anymore....

as the russuan lady said above...blah, blah, blah

@Sant : Inter may have been the only team dumb enough to offer so much for Zlatan...but don't forget that Milan's offer wasn't much lower from Inter's

I have to agree with meazza. Moratti is a double faced lying scumbag. Let's face it, Juve did not want to sell any of their stars. It was the players who forced the sale. Vieira catergorically stated that he wanted to leave. Ibra even missed some training sessions and was fined---remember that? Thuram, Zambro, Canna----all expressed a desire to leave. In the end of the day, Juve were forced to off-load some star names and it was Moratti who came in and poached them. Ibra was taken from our very noses, and yes Tony is right, we did not offer an amount very much lower than Inter's...but seeing how things are going so far, good riddance---Vieira can finish his flagging career at Inter (and punch Mancio a couple of times in the process ) and Ibra can continue underachieving---getting sent off more times than scoring goals...losers and Inter---a perfect fit!!
