It disturbs me that a rival team's fan is supporting our players more than our fans

It should disturb you that a rival is a supporter of Gila and some of us aren't.
For any fan other than a Milan fan Gila is the IDEAL STRIKER, ie. he doesn't score.
Hell I'd support Vieri @ Inter with all my might

I fully agree with Ego. She fully supported her claims with fact and the Gila lovers still dispute. Gila's goals are generally the no-pressure stuff not crucial and not significant.
He isn't completely to blame for it but he can't be a starting Milan striker.

Olivera hasn't been given enough time to prove himself IMHO, but I doubt he is the answer either. We have to buy...

Unfortunately, the no-pressure stuff theory just simply does not stand very well, because one's definition of no-pressure, "unimportant" is completely relative. As someone has argued before, if he did not score against Anderlecht and Anderlecht managed to claw one back, it would have been 3-2. What now? Panic button, and conceded another, 3-3? Now would you count Gila's goal is important?

While I agree with you that the importance of each goal may go down as goal differences between the two teams in a game increase, I fully doubt such theory works out. After all, can we say that Atlanta's second goal is USELESS and under NO PRESSURE stuff because they would have won 1-0 anyway?

There is no problem with the numbers; but there is a problem with the theoretical argument to base on such numbers.

And, as I have alreayd mentioned for so long, nobody can yet to explain why the attacking force has been delivering, let alone just Oliveria. How about the long-loved Inzaghi? Why is that NO ONE is bashing him? because he is proven but, according to many of your arguments here, SO WHAT?

As far as I'm concerned, Inzaghi was one of the biggest reasons behing our 2003 CL title. I will let him off the hook from time to time because his goals have done alot for Milan. Inzaghi is close to 34 which is close to being a fossil for a striker and he started off this season scoring. That is waaaaaaaaaaaay more than I can say for Gila. Inzaghi is a hero, through and through. I find it insulting that you would use similar parameters to compare these players who are obviously in such different circumstances. If Maldini plays poorly one match and some new defender plays poorly in another, would we excuse the new guy because Paolo had a bad game/ streak? Ridiculous!!!

Gila was brought in here to REPLACE PIPPO but is soooooo POOR HE HAS POOR CARLO SCRATCHING HIS HEAD WONDERING WHO TO PLAY OR IF TO PLAY THEM BOTH!!!!!
And I'm sure there are many who will still give Pippo the nod over Gila despite Pippo being nearly TEN years older!!!!!!

well, you took long to turn against Gila again, he has scored 2 goals in 3 games and suddenly after going a game without a goal he's useless again

What fact? She put up a list of goals and highlighted ones SHE thinks aren't important. If you read my post i p!ss all over her alleged FACT!!!!
Both have you complained he didn't score the first goal and he clearly did in some of her FACTS. So you're wrong there. He scored winning goals and crucial second goals in other games, other things you both complained about him not doing. So you're both wrong there again.

I sometimes wonder if either of you know anything about football. If you think we should always win by 1 goal and any goals scored after that are unimportant and not necessary, you must be delluded. How many comfortable 1-0 victories are there? Not many as it only takes one mistake to cancel it out. Second goals in 2-0 wins and third goals in 3-1 wins are important wether you think they are or not.

Thanks Rahul Though sometimes you wonder if they even read what you put. When someone argues against them it seems all they do is ignore it and start another argument

Don't worry Xudong, i'm about through with all this anyway. I won't try to make a crab walk straight, though i am feeling hungry for crab sandwiches

Actually Jim , i was the one who p!ssed all over her facts , 2 days before you did, with one post almost identical as yours, so i take the glory here...back up .... i'm kidding of course.
But it's nice to see that more of you think the same about Gila as i do, and i almost felt off my chair when i read the comment above, about me backing Gila just because as an other team fan i'm glad he ain't scoring

To remind the guy...my team is in serie B...it makes absolutely no difference to me if Gila's scoring or isn't scoring.

Here's my post from 3 days ago ( sorry Nefremo for putting this post here with a delay, i didn't see you asked me to do it)

Egoistka says how all (or almost all) of Gila's goals were unimportant (whatever this category means), scored at 3:0 and similar, and she says how he never scores opening or decissive goals.
All i needed to do was to check for last years Milan's results and scorers.

These are the 17 goals he scored for Milan last year :

1. Sampdoria 2-1 Milan
[Emiliano Bonazzoli 38, Max Tonetto 57; Alberto Gilardino 18 ]
He scored the opening goal for 1:0 lead. Is it his fault the defence allowed 2 goals and his goal wasn't a decissive one ?

2. Treviso 0-2 Milan
[Andriy Shevchenko 43pen, Alberto Gilardino 72 ]
This goal looks decissive enough to me !!! Or isn't it decissive just because he didn't score it at 1:1 but he scored it at 1:0 ???

3. Cagliari 0-2 Milan
[Alberto Gilardino 1 , Andriy Shevchenko 27]
Scored the opening goal. And if someone says Sheva scored the decissive goal here, then i suggest to the someone to look above and see the result against Treviso.

4. Empoli 1-3 Milan
[Ighli Vannucchi 36; Alberto Gilardino 45+1, 50, Christian Vieri 55]
Wow, Empoli leads 1:0 and Gila scores 2 in a row. Are these goals decissive, or only the second one is important because with the first goal he only equalised and with the second he gave the lead ?

5. Milan 5-1 Udinese
[Alberto Gilardino 25, 53, Clarence Seedorf 37, Andrea Pirlo 45,
Ricardo "Kaką" Izecson 77; Vincenzo Iaquinta 60pen]
What a useless goal Gila's second goal was !!! He scored it at 3:0. But what about his first one, the opening one ???

6.Fiorentina 3-1 Milan
[Luca Toni 10, 87, Martin Jorgensen 46; Alberto Gilardino 25]
In which category should we put this goal ? Unimportant because Milan lost ? It was an equaliser, but he didn't have to score it at all because Milan lost at the end !

7.Milan 4-0 Messina
[Andriy Shevchenko 23pen, 48, Andrea Pirlo 83, Alberto Gilardino 85]
First "unimportant" goal so far.....

8. Livorno 0-3 Milan
[Alberto Gilardino 23, 60, Andriy Shevchenko 71]
Scored the opener and then brought the win with the second goal. Or is it Sheva who scored the decissive goal on this match ???

9. Milan 4-3 Parma
[Giuseppe Cardone 27og, Alberto Gilardino 29, Ricardo "Kaką" Izecson 36,
Andriy Shevchenko 81; Paolo Cannavaro 24, Marco Marchionni 70, 85]
Gila scored this goal at 1:1... so we have to give him some credit for this goal, right ?

10. Milan 5-0 Treviso
[Ricardo "Kaką" Izecson 14, Andriy Shevchenko 54, 66,
Alberto Gilardino 63, Filippo Inzaghi 74]
Scored it at 3:0...so we can count this as unimportant again...his third unimportant.

11. Reggina 1-4 Milan
[Carlos Humberto Paredes 9; Filippo Inzaghi 14, 52, 90+3,
Alberto Gilardino 37]
He scored it at 1:1 and he gave his team the lead....looks important to me !!!

12.Milan 1-0 Cagliari
[Alberto Gilardino 23]
OMG...Opening goal and decissive at the same moment...never saw this coming !

13. Udinese 0-4 Milan
[Andriy Shevchenko 42, 65, Alberto Gilardino 61, Clarence Seedorf 71]
He scored it at 1:0...what is this ? important, unimportant or litlle bit of both ?

14. Messina 1-3 Milan
[Giuseppe Sculli 7; Marek Jankulovski 33, Gennaro Gattuso 44,
Alberto Gilardino 90]
Ok, i'll count it as the 4th unimportant, although i don't agree with this !

Also, i'd like to add that 4 penalties were made over him.

It's up to you guys to decide if he's a kind of player Egoistka presents him to be

Hey I said I'd shut up when he scored and I did. you're going to nail me for that too? fine! but even my posts I said that I'm still not convinced and now I'm voicing that. I don't see a problem with that.....
Again I must reiterate that my posts are not intended to attack Gila, but to improve Milan. Gila is NOT Milan startng Material, and its nice to see that everyone chose to pick at my support for ego rather than my main statements about why he doesn't fit. Makes you wonder who is the real fanatic!
I dare a Gila fan to respond to my assertions about him, i.e. :
Quote:

the basic argument against your post, unfortunately, is that there are no Gila fans. Half of the people arguing here is not pro-Gila, but pro-Milan.

BUT... given that you think there are Gila fans, then we all know what kind of fans you are...

These posts are not only annoying to read because the same point has been restated for a thousand times, but also unconstructive as no solution has been posted.

And, if Ego hate Gila as a person, let her be. We can't stop from hating Gila, as I understand the feeling. But, if you hate someone so much, why are you still finding faults on him, when you have already preconclude that he is no good? That's why I never think about the guy whom I hate since 16, and probably for the rest of my life.

I suppose all the "Forza Gila" and the "Gila is amazing" and the "Gila is our new Shevchenko" either don't exist or come from the anit-gila camp huh?

I have offered many solutions. perhaps you weren't listening Laugh all you will but my main solution is to buy Ronaldo. I am prepared to defend my opinion using fact and not inane statements like "gila is amazing"

first of all all ahte is wrong for whatever reason. As a Christian, I am not supposed to hate anyone. However Gila's playing style is abominable, that's for sure. Nothing defines it. I'd like someone to tell me what exactly is his playing style, because I sure as hell can't define it!

As for you Mr Jeff, you should find some way of ridding yourself of your hate because eventually it will consume you

Unfortunately, I realize that hate is not the best word. It's 'despise'. And, let's not deal with religion here, especially when he/she is actually a Christian... ERMM......

As for Ronaldo, I think he'll be a good buy, but I don't think he is the long-term solution either.

Forza Gila, or Gila is amazing etc. don't entail that one is a Gila fan. We probably will say Forza Gattuso if he scores a goal for Milan lol
