The arguments that the two of you came up with are some of the funniest I remember on MilanMania, and I've been reading this site for more then 6 years now. So, that means that these arguments are really special.
![]() From unimportant goals, to a "make belief" interview comments, to being picked in a Fantasy Football game, to Ronaldo being better because he can run 100m in 11 secs......sorry if I missed something! Doesn't get any better then this! ![]()

I don't think every word you say is a lie Oksana.
Regarding this fantasy football thing, i just don't see it as being a good criteria to base an argument on.

How do you change your mind? That piece of info has gone from supporting your view of a lack of faith in Gilardino to now being something you think might not have any relevance. You can surely see that? You can post most things here, no one is saying you can't. You have your freedom to say what you wish (within the rules of the forum of course), i'm not stopping you. The only time i would criticise what you put is if it's in relation to this Gilardino debate. When have i attacked you? We debate about Gilardino in here and that's all. I've never been mean to you, said you lie all the time, said that everything you post is irrelevant, that you're stupid, etc. I wouldn't do anything like that. Yeah maybe i get heated in this thread, but only on this subject. Who was one of the first people to welcome you back? I wouldn't do that if i wanted to attack you.

Guess Its only me now. Jeff for the life of me I can't understand how you find my post insulting but for what its worth I'm genuinely sorry.
What continues to puzzle is how the pro-Gila camp continue to dierespect the arguments of the other side. There are numerous claims that there is actually no argument against Gila and the anti-gila faction have personal issues against him. Let me put it as simply as humanly possible because my argument can be summed up in one statement: Alberto Gilardino is not a reliable goalscorer and for someone who is an out-and out striker this is counterproductive and works against the team's interests |

What's this pro-Gila camp you are talking about. Just because some of us are protecting Gila, it doesn't mean that we are "pro-Gila camp". Because I certainly will be the first one to turn on Gila, but when HE DESERVES it. Because I, and I am positive all the other people like Jim, Jeff..etc, are Pro-Milan and not Pro-Gila.
You say that he is not a reliable goalscorer, which is fine. That is your oppinion, but untill you PROVE that your oppinion is the right one you will get people on your back. For example even if I wanted to, I can't take your side because the arguments against your oppinion are totally stronger and make sence. -Your side said that he hasn't scored a single goal while Inzaghi and RO have scored at least one. - Gila proved that wrong because now he has 2 goals. -Your side said that even though he sometimes scores, those goals are only unimportant ones. -Tony proved that wrong! -Your side said that Gila is arrogant and said god knows what about Sheva. -AGAIN that was proven wrong by a lot of people here. -Then a stupid fantasy football game was used to make us believe that Gila sucks. -This by the way didn't even have to be proven wrong. -Now all you are left with is your own oppinion and no grounds. - Drucurl:"Let me put it as simply as humanly possible because my argument can be summed up in one statement: Alberto Gilardino is not a reliable goalscorer and for someone who is an out-and out striker this is counterproductive and works against the team's interests". Now, after saying this statement without any real argument behind you but only your own oppinion, tell me how are you expecting to turn people's heads and make them agree with you? - I'll answer for you: You can't becuase you don't have even a weak argument. It is all based on you own personal dissliking of the player.

Nefremo's points are absolutely ridiculous. I wont even bother replying to any of them because i'm fed up from how many times im repeating myself.
I will try to summarize everything I think of Gila: He was a great scorer at Parma and scored 23 goals in 2 seasons in a row and that is something UNBELIEVABLE, especially for a 23 yr old. That enough shows great potential and warrants him a starting place in Milan according to "pro-Gila camp". Last season, his first in Milan, he scored 19 goals in Serie A and 0 in CL out of 8 games. I believe Pippo scored 5 in 4 games or something like that. Ofcourse 19 goals in his first season at Milan is good, but IMO, with the team we had last year, most of the world-class strikers would have as much goals as him. Afterall, our team had the most goals scored all over the world last season! Even though he scored 19, I believe he did not contribute much to the actual team. He never came back and helped in midfield or defence, and he didnt hold the ball up much. Ofcourse there were a few exceptions where he did, but most of the time he didnt. From how bad he was, everytime he got the ball (even with Italy) and he collided with a player, he goes for a dive trying to win a foul. It is really appauling when you see him doing it over and over and over again. This season, Gila has been even worse than last season and has been completely useless. He finally scored his first goal against Inter and IMO had a great game and played really really well and contributed alot to the team, I gave him credit for it. He also then scored in the next game against Anderlecht, in a game where we were thrashing them at the San Siro. I didnt see the game so I couldn't judge his performance. Thats basically everything I think of Gila summarized. Thats only my opinion, and im sure there are a few people that agree with me. But just please dont treat me like a retard just for thinking Gila is not good enough for Milan, because everyone is entitled to his opinion. It is no grudge or nothing that I have against him, it is just that I think he's not good enough. If he starts scoring for Milan and brings his great form, I will happily be the first to applaud him and support him, but for now I cant do that until I see him playing well for a good 5 or 6 games in a row. |
