I doubt Kaka or any other player of his calibre would find any dif between playing in UEFA Cup and not playing in Europe at all. For suh players and their teams it's the CL and demestic championship that matters ... beyond that is just peanuts.

10 years ago UEFA Cup did mean something. Today, with the enourmous dif of financial rewards bwetween the two competitions and with the best championships having 3-4 clubs in CL, only 3rd rate clubs still care about Uefa Cup ... actually, even they don't seem to care that much cause teams play their second string players on a regular basis in Uefa Cup games.

That is true..I know..and also I have a feeling that Milan is not going to play in CL next year, because this year we definately will not finish in the top 3. Good if we finish as 5th, or 6th...But even that hardly, I m afraid...Although I hope that I m wrong...

Lets have a bet, I propose we will qualify for UCL next year, you that we will not. 100£ is good for me and I am good for the money.

[b]ronaldinioh has reached his prime and mostly wont improve any more on his skills
but kaka has a long way to go and will only increase hiss witness level and dribling
skills ,so who needs ronaldinioh when we have the best and most stylish football
player in the world so for me selling kaka for ronaldinioh = milan digging their own grave

Not fair kris! (Unless I can make a bet too?) Say, US$100 that we make the UCL, and that Kaka doesnt leave at season´s end either.

we can't bet on the same thing you silly I didn't see Sheva or Weah leave us when we didn't play UCL. In fact Rui Costa JOINED us in a season we didn't play UCL. Liverpool have gone around not winning much except that fluke UCL for decades, but still can get top players.

No the problem with missing UCL is the problem of less money in the coffers. Still, I can't see us missing it, even if we need to gain 9 points on the ones there. I hardly see that as unrealistic as most of the season is still to play.

Honestly, I d have a bet with you, but I dont work at the moment...lets have a bet for like 10 pounds..this more reasonable.

And I can't disagree with that. Ithink Ronaldinho is not a milan type of player. I dont think he ll fit well. And it is "digging their own grave" as we know that Kaka performs great and is one of the key players, unlike Ronaldinho whos influence on th tea we can only imagine, but not predict. It might be good, same as it might be vice versa. It d be a huge mistake.

$heva did stay loyal for a time to Milan when we went through the dark days, but he didnt have anywhere near the cult status Kaka has now. And at that time Italy was the place to be, which right now it most certainly aint.

When Rui signed for Milan, the other main competitor at the time was Lazio (Who actually signed him and Toldo, but they both refused to go there) Real signed Zidane, United signed Veron, Juve signed Nedved and Lazio signed Mendieta Milan were also on the rise (As far as spending goes anyway). People were expecting big signings from Milan that season.

If we want to keep Kaka then we have to be realistic. This boy can really go on to be a true great in the game. Hes only going to do that by winning. If Milan dont start to invest in the future then who could blaime him for leaving. Im 100% sure that he would stay if Milan show some Milan style ambition in the summer.

That is fair, i agree. And that is very close to become the truth. He ll leave if Milan doesnt improve NOW.

Why would Kaka play for Real Madrid next season? He has a contract with Milan until 2011, and Milan will not sell him even if he wants to leave. So we have no reason to worry, Kaka is staying with us.
