the best team milan ever had in the past 3 seasons ... is

----------------------------- Dida ----------------------------------------

-------- Cafu --------- Stam ------ Nesta ----------------- Maldini --------

----------------------------- Pirlo ----------------------------------------

----------------- Gattuso -------------- Seedorf --------------------------

------------------------------ Kaka --------------------------------------

------------------ Crespo ------------ Shevchenko ................

sadly we lost many of these players and didnt get any good replacement or backups

but this side was awesome

I agree. But we lost 3 players..i know that`s 3 great players, but we should beat teams Like Atalanta,Livorno,Siena,Empoli....We need some great defender, like Nemanja Vidic,Phillipe Lahm...And offcourse we need attacker, like klass-jan-huntelaar!

Of the 3 that are gone:
1) Crespo - Gila was signed. While some folks may say isn't going to cut it at Milan - he was a good signing at the time and if I was the GM, I would have pursued him too. I still have faith in him.
2) Sheva - I don't think anyone expected him to leave. So this was a shock. This wouldn't be an easy hole to fill anyway.
3) Stam - I guess you could say his replacement is Bonera. I think Bonera has a great future as a CB. We still need a RB.
- another, Rui Costa - we signed Gourcuff.

Anyway, I don't think that's the problem. The problem is:
1) Our defense is too old (IMHO) and we don't have a stable transition for the future. Especially true at RB. Defense this year has been hampered heavily by injuries, which is unfortunate - because at full strength we'd probably be much higher in the league. (Team would play better overall, and maybe create more chances to score goals and not hit the woodwork)

2) Lack of a definitive goal scorer such as Sheva. Most of the forwards at Milan are more of goal poachers, rather than goal creators. Sheva was more of the latter. We need one of those to round out the team.

Look at it this way, in 3 years how many members of this team are going to be retired. At the very least: Maldini, Costacurta, Seginho, Cafu, Inzaghi, Fiori, and maybe Dida. Considering 5 of these are likely starters, that's half of the starting squad.

Since Milan are a bunch of el-cheapos ive compiled a list of suitable players that milan can sign in Jan and summer:

Claudio Pizarro (bayer) - Free Transfer
Abbiati - Return from loan (knowing us we are not prepared to spend money on amelia even if he is a little bit better)
Lucas Leiva (gremio) probably at most 5 million pounds, which may fall in budget but a good player
Abidal (unkown) - his nearing Milans required age so theyd probably move heaven and earth to sign him...
Lucas Neill (Free transfer) He sucks npo one likes him I certainly dont, but hey hes for free so who cares!

ANd anyone else who is overrated, no longer needed by their clubs and is available on a free!

How about Daniele DeRossi

It is as simple as this would you like to have Daniele DeRossi at Milan or not? Opinions needed?
I mean look De Rossi is a holding midfielder but he is not an allien for playing on the left side of the midfield the place where Seedorf currently plays. Just imagine him playing on the left hand side and coming back and helping Pirlo when needed. This will also allow Pirlo the much needed freedom as DeRossi will provide some cover to Pirlo.

I totally agree that Daniele De Rossi would be an excellent signing for Milan, he's a great player. He would add more steel and youth to an ageing and (too) soft Milan-team. We need to be tougher and fight harder.

We're not going to get him. Although granted, he would be a great player to sign. Roma won't let a young rising star leave to a direct competitor so easily, if at all unless a ton of money is involved.

With the spending of the board lately, our dire need for young defenders and a forward who can actually score - a midfielder shouldn't be the top priority, yet.

I dont know much about positions like RB and which players have that position on milan but i think this would be an ideal squad and ideal players for milan to buy and hopefully there budget can handle it:

---------Cafu------------Nesta------------Mexes--------------Miguel------

----------------------------------Pirlo------------------------------------

----------------------------Gattuso--------Gourcuff-----------------------

----------------------------kaka-------------ronaldinho-------------------

-----------------------------------Drogba(or Torres)----------------------

Milan should buy Kerzhakov - attacker from Zenit St-Petersburg. This guy is really good...Sevilla and Shalke04 are interested in him at the moment. They suggest small money, so the club doesnt want to give him, although Kerzhakov himself wants to play in Europe. If Milan suggests something like 5-6 million, I m sure Zenit would sell him.
I think we should not buy any big stars now. Big names cost big money and they are not necesserily gonna be good. So why not try big names from such countries as Russia, Korea or Turkey? They also have very good players, just the price is different.

I m surprized you know him
Well...for 5-6 million he is worth buying...I think. And he really wants to play in Europe. He is one of my favorite players, and if he leaves Zenit - then he d better come to Milan, then some other team, where I won't be able to see him. A great thing about him, that might make him a great striker, is that he doesnt hesitate shoting, even from impossible position. He is not like some players who think long before shoting, coz they trying to be very precise...he shots a lot, and scores a lot too.
