Paolo Maldini,
Maldini's Number 3,should Be Retired Next Season, Just Like Baresi Number 6

milanista03 · 15-12-2006, 06:12

I wish I had watched Milan back then when Marco was still playing. Too bad, I miss his part. I started Watching Milan since Italy qualified to Final 94 and most of the Italian players are Milan. That's when I found my true love ever... Paolo Maldini. He is just too good to be true...in and off the pitch. No trophy that he needs to affirm his excellence. Milan will lost a great deal when he retired, so will my heart....

Conviction · 21-01-2007, 22:08

Paolo Maldini is a living legend, who even with has his own film. OMG!!

I will always remember this guy.

Baresi
Donadoni
P.Maldini
The Best 3 guys ever to put on Milan's shirt!!!

Conviction · 21-01-2007, 22:16

Oh...And the worst underrated players ever to play for Milan were:

Marco Simone
Roberto Baggio
Massimo Ambrosini

what a pity to see these three sitting on the bench.

rahul.acm · 01-02-2007, 12:35

Alessandro Costacurta declared today: 'This will definitely be my last year as a player, in five months I will stop once and for all'

But there is nothing on why he came up with this decision...... now........after the Roma match.

Well, this is the beginning of the end of an era which brought us the most joy ever. On the field, it may appear to a lot of people that he was of least importance to our team, but not many will recognize him and Maldini for what they have done to build this team. Our new generation of captains which include Ringhio, Max, Kala and Pirlo wouldn't have been capable of leading Milan had they not been under the guidance of these two.

But this is just an end to his playing career at Milan and I hope that someday he would become a very successful coach.

FORZA BILLY!!!

Strangely after the victory this year Seedorf will probably be added to that list too.

Best ever will be Paolo by sure i started seeing Milan from 1992 - 1993. Van Basten will be one, i remember watching him scoring with a "swissor" in my first foreign game i watched and since then i became Milan. Wanted or not Sheva is also a legend, he didnt stay dedicated to the team but his impact was huge. Another very good player was George Weah, the Liberian maybe one of the best foreigners who have ever had.

Finally because i had the chanse to see him pretty well, i have a great respect for Boban but Savicevic was also great.

George Weah definitly a legend. I loved this player. I have his jersey that I got in 1995 I think in Italy.

LEGENDS OF MILAN

1) VAN BASTEN : could have erased the name of eusebio, cryuff, platini and firmly established himself as the greatest ever european player of he had competed the seasons of 94,95 & 96

2) PAPIN : Could have demonstrated who was the best ever finisher

3) RIJKAARD : Twice the plauer makele, gatusso or essien ever was.

4) COSTACURTA : why he won so few caps. Nobody mentioned his crossing ability to van basten before. As good as dennis irwin or 3/4 the player that maldini ever was

5) MARCO SIMONE : A poor man version of Ronaldo of brazil really
