As I have little time, forgive me for the few details.
- One month(or more) ago, all the press in Brazil was curious about this kid, because Internacional coach(Abel Braga), put him in the list to play the WC of Clubs in december, and nobody know about this player. Last sunday, the boy played his first professional game against Palmeiras...and...It was unbelievble
1 goal, 2 ast and some amazing plays. The kid shows no weakness in his game. Great skills, dribles, pass, good aerial game and seems to have a great character.

-It was to be only a great debut of a 17yo kid in brazilian league, but after the game, Abel Braga(coach) and some Internacional managers had explained of where it came a talent like this. They said that this kid was training with the professional team has some time. But the kid was without a professional contract(it agreed terms of a contract until 2009 friday), and they were with fear of to show Alexandre in Brasileirão. With all reason, therefore until Arsene Wenger, send a person to talk w/ the kid some time ago. What shows how competent is Arsene in find talents around the world, because even for us(brazilians), Alexandre Pato was a stranger.

- They(coach, managers and teammates) are so high in Alexandre, that everytime that coach went to make a mini-game or an COLETIVO(as we call here the starters against the bench players), the guy took off the press of the facilities, just to prevent the hype. Because, as I said, Alexandre was without a contract(his new clause contractual jump of 4 mil to 20 mil of dollars), and the club was afraid of any person pay the 2 millions and buy the boy. Until his teammates had been forbidden to talk about the guy in the press, after some of them talk wonderful things about the player, only increasing the hype.

Of course, It´s his first game as professional(but just because the contract thing), and I´m just puting some news for you guys. But, the performance of the boy is causing a havoc in Brazil and IMO is more than worth to keep an eye on this kid....the WC of Clubs in Japan can be a good possibility to see the boy in action, because it will be a starter. Maybe we can see him against Barcelona defence in the final of the tournament.
Some goals of Alexandre in Brazilian under20 Championship. His team Internacional was the champions, and it was the star with 7 goals.
Against São Paulo:

In the final against Grêmio:

BTW, AS is saying that the Atlético Madrid is in the race to purchase Wagner(Cruzeiro), and also Lucas Leiva:

Thanks Brasileiro!Good informations!Alexandro Pato look very talented!

I personally am not too interested in Ronaldinho at this point, though he has skill and marketing appeal, I don't think he's a player that we need right now.

On the other hand, this kid at Porto, Anderson, is looking more of an interesting prospect to me. He's still very young (18), but seems he has pace, skill (compared to Ronaldinho a fair amount) and plays in a pretty direct way it seems. I'd be interested in him as potentially he is a brilliant foil for Gila. I do wonder about his strength on the ball though, but at 18 he's probably not even physically mature yet, meaning strength should come as he gets older.

Personally, I think Milan scouts should be keeping close tabs on him. Brasileiro, any thoughts on the boy?
Agree, Anderson is a future WC player.
When Anderson was at Grêmio, it was used t Kaká role or as second foward. But in Porto, the boy is showing some versality. I was impressed when I saw Anderson playing(and good) in a 3 man mid at Porto de CoAdriansen. The typical Dutch 3 man midfield is hard for brazilians OMD, because you need some strenght, and play defence to be good. Remember that Diego had problems in this role in Portugal, and right now is in a amazing form in Werder(but playing in taditional OMD role).

Just some time ago, I read that Anderson started as LB in Grêmio. Maybe this explain how fast the guy adapt itself in the 3 man midifield...and also, although it not to be so tall, Anderson is(and play) VERY strong.

IMO, Anderson can´t be seen as a promise, but as a reality. As they said in Portugal, Andershow already was the main player of the Porto(It´s a shame that the Benfica guy broke his leg ), and more important(IMO), has a great character, and is well liked by his teammates.

I'm interested to see whether Milan will ever have any interest in him. Thanks for the comments.

Gago's move to Real looks an almost certainty now, whilst Inter are linked with Lucas. We seem to have given up on all these players right now.

Real Madrid agree personal terms with Gago
tribalfooball.com - November 30, 2006

Real Madrid have struck personal terms with the agent of Boca Juniors midfielder Fernando Gago.

Gago's agent, Marcelo Lombilla, agreed terms with Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic over lunch yesterday in Madrid. The deal is until 2012.

Meanwhile, Boca president Mauricio Macri maintains he wants Gago to play in their Copa Libertardores campaign.

“My desire is that Gago plays the next Copa Libertardores and I hope to see that happen, because it is very disappointing to have to lose a player who we created and watched grow in the club. It is impossible that Madrid can unveil Gago on Sunday or announce his signing because no agreement exists between the clubs."

BYE BYE GAGO.

So Braida's trips to South America in the summer, and the one last month was absolutely useless?

Milan cant use the reason that "all south amerians want to go to Real or Barca", that is our fault. We need to be more ambitious, we need to spend more money instead of going for players that are for free (we're goin for another free agent, Belletti, instead of buying Oddo,Alves,Reveilliere etc)

Another rumour to comfort the Rossoneri faithful. Let's face it, Milan will NEVER sign any player during the winter transfer. Even if they did, he'd be someone in the class of Favalli or Simic. I mean they could have easily made a bid for Oddo but now they are going for someone like Belletti who is a non-EU player. Milan have used up all of the available non-EU slots. Pato is too young and not yet a proven striker. I just get frustrated whenever i read this transfer rumours concerning Milan because they're never going to happen. Look what happened to Zambrotta, Oddo, Buffon, Suazo and etc. Milan were linked with these players before the start of the season. Imagine if they were actually in the team.

hey Brasiliero how have u been doing?

i wanted to ask you.. did Wagner (Cruzeiro, the one you talk about) just sign for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia for $8m dollars just for six months??!?!?!?!? Thats insane. If it is true tell me what do u think of that move? And what do you think will happen next? Could he be available for us to snatch maybe in the summer? Does he have an EU passport?

I´m fine , my friend!
Man, I still don´t believe that a talent like Wagner go to Al-Ittihad at this time of hid carrer, until I read your post. If it´s only 6 months it´s ok. But if it wants to play for Brazilian NT, the guy will be in trouble...
Wagner isn´t a Kaká(talent level), but the guy is VERY good!! Here in Brazil, the talk was that Atletico Madrid was interst in Wagner, and I never heard about Al-Ittihad proposal until it´s done.
I really don´t know if Wagner have a EU passport...

BTW, the more I see Alexandre Pato playing, the more impressed I become This boy is a special player, no doubt!! Last night against Uruguai, Pato was amazing The game was crucial for Brazil, and in nightd like these we cansee the character of the player...and Pato end Lucas showed(one more time) that are special players!!! Pato also is proving that his great aerial game wasn´t a fluke...the kid is great in the air!!
It´s good to know the our scout in SA Championship said that the only bad thing in Alexandre Pato was a no EU passport
Buy this guy now, and leave him mature playing in Libertadores Cup for Internacional until the summer...what a talent...and more important, as all the reports said, a great character and teammate
