Nadir, its simply this: Dida is inconsistent...the first set piece of the game, he is poorly positioned...then he makes a string of good saves, then allows yet another goal past his near post...his near post..the one he should be guarding....

And this for me is the issue...when Bierhoff was heading every cross in for a goal, I tolerated him, but when he started to miss chance after chance after chance, it was time for him to go, and I lost faith in him.

Dida is approaching this point for me. You are only as good as your last game, and regardless of the saves he made (and yes, I fully agree that he did make some good ones), he conceded some howlers, and this is why my faith in him is lacking.

Its ridiculous to say that because I have no faith in Dida, I have no faith in the team...I have faith in Kaka to score, or create chances, Seedorf to do the same, Oliveira to miss sitters, and Pippo to be offside at least 4 times per half, and to score as well...but I also have "faith" that Dida will concede at least one goal from a set piece, from poor positioning, or both.

That Bayern didnt score in the San Siro is due more to woeful finishing, than Dida´s marshalling of our net...as they did have several good opportunities, if not sitters.

And if I am pessimistic bro, its because I get too carried away for my own physical/mental health, and so I have to be pragmatic in my outlook for this, and any other UCL game we may have for the rest of the season. I know myself, I am after all, a grown man, who knows his strengths and weaknesses...and because I want to live to at least see my grandkids, I prefer to have a pessimistic outlook, because then, if we win, I can be pleasantly surprised, but if we loose, I wont be that disappointed.

And if I cant come here and express myself, share my angst with my fellow fans, a lot of whom feel that way, but maybe of a different mindset to mine, ie not take the games as all-important facets of one´s life, then they can afford to be optimistic.

Yet, having said all that, I am a member of the Sunshine club...the crew here that always tries to put a positive spin on things...but again, I know myself, and know what I must do when my gut tightens, my appetite is lost, I start to have a nervous leg movement....and feel like my blood pressure is about to rupture an artery in my head.

Anyways...about the match, I think we've a great chance of going through if we don't sit back like we usually do against top opposition after we score, given that we're going to have a lot of pace upfront I'd say that RO is a much better option than Gilardino and maybe he can tire United defenders a little bit more as well.

Hopefully Dida will have a brilliant (or at least a good one) performance and our defence won't have any lapses in concentration, Cafu could be the key on our right flank in the last 20 - 30 minutes, and any news on Serginho situation?

Like in the 1st leg I'm not expecting tooooo much from our beloved team (Like a trashing result), but I just want a committed performance without too many or none mistakes at all because I don't wanna get disappointed again because of a silly mistake in the last minutes or just bad positioning from our players

I really hope Kaká and Pirlo will both get a nice rest against Torino, especially Pirlo who did some pretty poor passes in the first leg (but that pass to Kaká in the 2nd half was brill )

Carlo has zero faith in Oliveira unfortunately. I think we will see Pippo up front and Gila coming in late in the game. I for one do not want two strikers and would rather Ambrosini play. Ambrosini is more dangerous, more effective, plays for the team more than Gilardino by a million times. We need him.
