I really don't want to take this off topic because this is one of the most interesting threads on MM in my time, but don't you guys think it's a hypocrisy Milan fans to constantly make fun of Juve getting the help from the refs or calling Juventus JuBe ( smthg in all honesty never happened here but is a practice on some other places) ?
Afterall, Milan got -30 last season and -8 this season because they were helped by the refs and Milan also played in serie B...twice !
You're condemning Juve, while the stated basis for the criticism is the breach of a rule which also applies to Milan.

Milan did have a very strong team on paper : Baggio, Savicevic, Maldini, Baresi, Desailly, Boban, Reiziger, Tassotti, Vierchowod, Sacchi as manager, but they had an off day and were beaten by Zidane, Vieri, Jugovic and co.

@ganjarb : Baresi and Vierchowod were maybe old but were still younger than Maldini or Cafu today. It had nothing to do with Milan having an old defense ( afterall, Maldini was 28 and he was there, while Reiziger and Desailly weren't old eather) and it certanly had nothing to do with Moggi.... it was just a great day for the current european champions and a very bad day for Milan.
Something like Manchester Utd- Roma.
No way ManUtd are so much stronger than Roma, but it still happened !

Bottom line is, if Milan play better than Liverpool, they will win - if not, then we should be classy and applaud a rival who was able to defeat our team. Did you see Paolo Maldini after van Buyten scored against us in the first leg of the QF? Was he whining and yelling that he hates Germans and Bayern? He had a smile on his face, and shook hands with the Bayern players - even though the late tying goal was a morale sapper. I'll be devastated if Milan lose to Liverpool again, but I will hand it to them for beating us fair. They are not Juve, after all, who need the help of a bunch of refs

Yes, the beautiful game should be based around respect. And as two of Europe's finest clubs (you've won the European Cup 6 times, and we've won it 5), we definitely both deserve a high level of respect.

I used to hate opposition fans too, until some started to register here and acted like decent, intelligent human beings who could see past their own teams and were willing to participate in normal, calm discussions and debates. Those first pioneers, if you will, opened my eyes ot the fdact that opposing fans could indeed be good posters here. If you don't like it, then I strongly suggest you avoid any topic where any of said people are posting, it's as simple as that. In this day and age, I think many of us find that we can't wear blinders and look only at our team and talk only about our team. Our team has to think about their opponents and in fact prepare for them. We as fans need to do the same.

And FYI, any opposing fans who come here only to cause trouble get banned as soon as their intentions are apparent. Perhaps you don't know or see everything that goes on here. And that would include the debates the mods have had about opposing fans registering here.

I feel you baby but there are a few things we should keep in mind. Being a supporter of a team is not always an indicator of the type of person they are. For instance the we label inter fans as losers and juve fans as cheats...but this is more often the exception rather than the rule. Look at Tony29 and Karim. Both are very respectful and contribute intellectualy to the forum. They come here and have fun with us and give us the perspective of someone who doesn't see every think in black and red like we do. . Conversely we have to admit that there are some dumbass milan fans as well

I agree with you in not joining a forum of rival fans. To me that is disrespectful to our own club. I'd never join a juve forum or worse an inter forum but this is our personal opinion on how real Milan fans are to behave. As long as they're not hurting Milan we are in no position to judge anyone.

I hate Inter too with a huge passion. But we must be careful that our hatred isn't mis-directed. It is no fault of the Inter fanbase that they are so despicable- blame the management. The same goes for Juve. Perhaps there are fans who hate us Milan fans too.....but what did we ever do to them?? Maybe its some dumb decision taken by Gallaini/ Braida/ Berlu/ Leonardo.

I am a moderator in goal.com and I'm the captain of the Milan forum. We're allowed to do anything there....I don't bother my boys there about insulting other teams' fans because that is what keeps a healthy rivalry going. I only set in when the insults become personal or if we strike at them unprovoked.
But we should keep in mind that deep down we're all family and that fotball is still only a game. With things such as race, class, religion and sex causing so much division/ hate it is a shame to use the beautiful game to produce even more hatred

And I was a moderator and then admin of Xtratime, which if you know the forum is made up of fans from MANY other teams....and MANY do alot of cross-posting. If it can be done on one forum like that, I see no reason why it can't happen here. Perhaps you'd like us to drop the Milan International forum along with banning non-Milan fans who belong here? Please, don't be quite so colloquial. Next you'll say the only real Milan fans are those who IN Italy...
