We won number 5 in 1994 without Costacurta, who was suspended for the final.

We won number 6 in 2003 without Baresi, who had retired and whose number was not being used.

I hope we can win number 8 with Gattuso on the field...

I am sure that Gattuso wouldn't mind being suspended if that is the only way that we can win our #8 in Moskow.

On another note:

Michael Owen left Liverpool for Real Madrid because he believed that there was no way that Liverpool could win CL, and they did.

Patrick Vieira left Arsenal for Juventus because he believed that Arsenal was too weak to compete in CL, and Arsenal eliminated Juventus and almost defeated Barcelona if not for the absurd refereeing in the final.

Last year, I predicted that either Milan or Bayern could win this year's CL as obviously the departure of Shevchenko and Ballack brought good luck to Milan and Bayern.

-had milan finished outside top 4 in Serie A this season, would italy got 5 representatives in CL?
-which milan's players did not get CL medal as they were not registered in CL squad besides Ronaldo?

1.If Milan was 5th in serie A then they would have played in UEFA Cup next year.

2. Goalkeepers : Facchin, Offredi
Defenders : Antonelli, Darmian, Grimi
Midfielders : Guerci, Di Genarro
Attackers : Ronaldo, Borriello

These players weren't among the 25 registered AC Milan players. But 6 of them were on B list and i don't know if they took a medal.

Ronaldo and Grimi weren't on any list, just like Borriello, but Borriello was among the 25 players in the first half of CL so maybe he did get a medal at the end.

Winning the UCL this year got us a place in next UCL even if Milan finished the last in the league.
