Winter Mercato

Wow...I leave my office for a few hours, and all hell breaks loose...I called my friend in Miami, who had to pull off the road (he is a big Arsenal fan)...I am glad that I wasnt there to see him cry...he took it really hard...

But the whole Suazo issue, for me, opens up sooooo many wonderful opportunities...primarily being that we will now get Ronaldinho (IMO), and with a lesser probability, Etoo..

Rationale:
Etoo says he doesnt want to leave Barca, regardless of who arrives, yet Rijkaard plays with one striker...so if he considers this, he may very well be out...and to either Inter (who just bought Suazo, and so has waaay too many strikers, unless they part with Adriano, for Etoo in exchange...which may very well happen), or to Milan.

Ronaldinho says he doesnt want to leave Barca, but also states that anything can happen in the future...an almost surefire statement that says: I am willing to leave (again IMO).
Hence Etoo to Inter for Adriano, may result in:
a) Ronaldinho staying or
b) Ronaldinho following Etoo out of Barca, but to the other half of Milan, the red and black half.

All in all, I think all of this points to Ronaldinho or Etoo coming to us...the former more certain than the latter...

And I agree with all..this is going to be one simmering silly season!!!

Ok suazo could be a good signing, but come on barca are getting henry for 16 million pounds, we didnt even bid for him and galliani said he would of gone to us last yr! thats bulls**t!

He was never coming to us, we need a big signing not suazo!

anyways thats my thoughts lets get a big name ... we havent replaced sheva! ronaldo is not a replacement! inzaghi wont have a good season next yr and gila is not bad he is just not a big game player and will prob never be great

I am a huge fan of milan , watch every game etc but with our financial power its time we get a present!

He is a great player - Yes, One of my favorites - Yes but he only has another what 3/4 good years left in him plus as he hits 30 soon what will happen to his pace? His most prize possession was his pace, on the other hand Eto is much younger and could offer more years.

Inter ending up with Sauzo is a blessing in disguise if you ask me as we can concentrate on other better players in his position.

i agree with you but henry is not old lets say he does have 3 good yrs in him, 3 good yrs of henry in our team would be amazing you think if we buy eto or ronaldinho they will be with us for 5 plus years i highly doubt it. but not getting suazo is a blessing in disguise we need a big name star striker then having gila and inzaghi on the bench aint so bad

Seems like Milan is dropping Suazo after it was confirmed that Barcelona had signed Henry... which could mean...

Suazo > from Milan to Inter
Henry > from Arsenal to Barcelona
Eto'o > from Barcelona to Milan

What is funny is that now it seems that Suazo is just another player because he signed for Inter when 24 hours ago he was such an incredible player.

I keep mentioning him because, should Suazo end up at Inter, he would be one of the few pretty good and serie-A tested strikers out there for whom we won't have to break the bank or do a Real M on his current team to lure him away with the smell of cash.

I would expect Dinho, Etoo and Sheva to be first priority but these are deals that depend on many different factors, many of which we have little control on ... it might happen but it might not go thru either, and that's where Quagliarella could come in, I think, as a good, not-so-expensive solution.

barca are also apparently on the verge of signing Chivu, can't we hijack that deal? he's an ideal CB to partner Nesta.. i think he wil be the best defender in the world in a few years..

not sure Roma would like to sell to an Italian team, and if they do, it would have to be an offer they can't refuse. That's probably the main reason why he didn't go to Inter already given how favourable the circumstances around the Pizarro deal were.
After Puyol's serious injury, he's already Barca's, it seems.

i agree, but i never said he was great! but i think is a very good player , but funny how ppl are like that , i guess it shoes how one eyed our fans are in a good way though!

Man we are such a cheep club when it comes to mercato...pathetic.

Now they'll try to bring back Sheva for like 10 mln I guess, or offer 25 for Eto'o. Then we'll get a swap deal Oli-Emerson and invest 3 mln in one young player from Argentina....

i can understand Suazo,this contract is his last big contract and however its quite normal he would like to earn more at inter since inter doubled our offer to suazo.

We were made fools on this one with Suazo, Galliani wasnt carefull and underestimated Moratti. Inter's attack: Ibra, Suazo, Crespo, Adriano...
Barca: Eto'o, Henry, Ronaldinho, Messi. I dont know what's worse to play against....

We need to act and I think we now have a chance that Barca will sell Eto'o or Ronaldinho. I would prefer Eto'o, and definately NOT VILLA!! please dont buy this guy, never!

Oliveira is on his way to Madrid, that can mean we'' eventually end up with Emerson. and NEDVED is retirting!!!! Also, Juve will go for Cannavaro again as it seems theya'll loose Zaragoza's CB. If Juve loose Camoranesi-Nedved they'll be in some big problems...

Im starting to loose hope that we'll finnaly have some decent mercato. All of our players want it, even Gattuso spoke how nice it would be...not to mention Carlo.
