Riquelme is high class. I love him ( as a football fan loves football players ) but i still can't see him in Milan. I'm having trouble imagining him even in Inter.

I know he could play as a replacement for Kaka or even as Seedorf's replacement in 1 striker system but that's exactly why i don't see him in Milan - he doesn't look as someone who'll accept the bench and Milan won't be a 1 striker team if all these speculations about the new WC attacker are true.
If i was Milan coach i wouldn't hesitate a bit and i'd buy Riquelme and play him all the time. (Gattuso-DMC-Pirlo-Riquelme-Kaka-Ronaldo)
This is the CL winning formation (with Ronnie replacing Pippo and Riquelme Seedorf) and i think it could work, but Milan won't do smthg like this.

I don't know if he'll ever be #1 , but Messi's playing his usual game and he's great. I enjoy watching him on CA. He opens so much space for the others, he's getting a lot of FK's, creates chances and his dribblings aren't Brazil-like dribblings (read: useless) because the team benefits from his magic.
And he's only 20 !

Say whatever you want but he's a phenomenon !

Riquelme has supreme technique, but he needs a few things to flourish:

1) A coach who fervently believes in his abilities (Pekerman springs to mind)
2) A coach willing to build a team around him
3) A team willing to slow down their tempo as Riquelme works up to the tempo of the game

Using Riquelme as a sub in Milan, IMO, could work but it seems difficult. Every time Riquelme would come on, the tempo of the game would dramatically change.

Maybe Roque Santa Cruz ?

P.S : Oh and Dru....Heskey is a great player and Milan should sign him ASAP and play him as a starter in 1 striker system !

I still think our answers could be Obafi Martins, at 22 he has set the Premiership alight.

Santa Cruz in Milan?!

What about Santa Cruz, from Bayern?

http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=342409

He said he would love to come in AC Milan, for any money :-)
He is young, talented,experienced.
I think he has one year of contract left, and wouldn't be too expensive.

After all the great strikers we've been linked to this summer I would be really disappointed if we ended up with Santa Cruz. We might as well have Heskey or Crouch...

Milan refute Emerson talk
By Nadia Carminati - Created on 3 Jul 2007

Milan have moved swiftly to deny rumours of their potential interest in Emerson of Real Madrid.

The Brazilian signed for the Spanish giants only a year ago from Juventus, but has been linked with a switch back to Italy.

However, the rumours have been quashed by club chief officer Adriano Galliani, who revealed that his club are not looking to bolster their ranks in midfield.

"We are not interested in Emerson," he said.

"We are looking for a striker only, and it's possible that the one we want hasn't been mentioned yet."

Emerson made 34 appearances for Real Madrid last season, and Carlo Ancelotti has previously admitted his interest in the Brazil international, but the club appear to have ended any interest in the player.

Meanwhile, rumours suggesting that Kaka could be set to leave Milan have again been strongly denied, and Galliani has looked to draw the line under the reports for the final time.

"Kaka has a contract with Milan and he's happy to stay here," added Galliani

"The interest from big sides shows he's really the world's strongest player.

"I've asked to stop speculation referring to Kaka."

Kaka has been linked with a number of Europe's biggest clubs, and the Milan management have repeatedly been forced to deny the reports, guaranteeing the Brazilian will remain at the club for the foreseeable future.

As Zlatanov mentioned, Calderon has given permission for Emerson and Cassano to leave:

Brazil is the country whom have more high level attack players in the history of football and it´s wouldn´t happen if the style of them were useless

Brazil's ways to play is like Careca, Zico, Ronaldo, Romário, Kaká, Raí, Falcão... not Ronaldinho and Robinho

Players like Ronaldinho and Robinho are just flops that Brazil use to earn money over stupid rich teams who hire all players who knows how to do circle moves with the ball

By the way, Messi is overrated and don´t know how to finnish well to the goal

The best argentin player to hire is Crespo, he is good professional and despite don´t have so much technical skills, is more useful than all players of Argentina
