Perhaps Kaka should take the Number 2 shirt ...JK !!!! Pun intended

Well, Pato is the portuguese name for Duck. So, it's just a translation.
He played at PORTO Alegre city (not PATO Alegre), which means Happy Port.
But he was born in a city called PATO Branco (White Duck), and that's where his nickname came from.

Moratti: Who needs Pato?
Sunday 19 August, 2007
Inter lost out to rivals Milan on the signature of Alexandre Pato, but Massimo Moratti assures he prefers Mario Balotelli.

The Brazilian teenager was a prime target for Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona before the Rossoneri snapped him up for £10m.

“We didn’t really need him,” noted patron Moratti in the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport.’

“In recent months we had relaxed our interest in Pato for three reasons. First, it was a big investment and I didn’t feel like it.

“Second, Pato would have taken away space from a youth product who is doing formidably well – Balotelli. And third the Brazilian is not yet 18, he has a lot to prove. We have immediate objectives and so focus on players with experience.”

That's because they dont even know what they NEED. That is why they keep buying forward after forward, and then defender after defender. I have not seen an Inter Milan starting line up that has been consistent over two seasons. If it's not the team they tinker with, then the coach is replaced...If someone were to look up the word "Mismanagement" in a dictionary, they ought to find "Inter Milan" as the definition

I am just waiting to see how they implode this year with all the egos on the team. Imagine having to bench all but two of the following players: Ibrahimovic (ego as big as his nose), Suazo, Crespo, Cruz, Adriano, Recoba..The way they buy players is a recipe for disaster IMO.

LOL! I totally agree with you rt9, 3 of those strikers are easily bench warmers for 3/4 of the season, hence why every time they try to build up the squad it crashes 10x as fast.
