I also think one big advantage for us is that Berlu doesnt need money - I doubt he would ever cash in on a player unless they wanted to leave just like the whole Sheva saga.

Let's hope this can help Real Madrid shut up and stay away!

From ACM official website, concerning posible Baptista deal Galliani said:

" With the directors of Real I was very clear, for the deal to go through, these are our conditions (no Kaka discussion). If Real Madrid accepts this proposal, that's good, otherwise we won't do anything "

I like his way of addressing, we are upper handed.

Kaka will end his career at ACM????
Wake up fellows and be realistic Remeber that Ukrainian said similar sort of sweet things Plus it won't b a surprize if Kaka decides to leave ACM next year or after 2 years. I don't expect any other player to be like Paolo Maldini

Plus If
Henry & Vieira can leave Arsenal,
Oddo and Nesta can leave Lazio,
Zambrotta and Thuram can leave Juve,
Figo can leave Barca,
Malouda, Essien & Abidal can leave Lyon
Owen can leave Liverpool

then why not Kaka can leave ACM saying that now he needs a new challenge There is only 1 Paolo Maldini

Everyone has an opinion on the Kaka thing, and we can only observe what happens every summer.

I and many respectable portions of the Italian media believe, however, that Berlusconi wants Kaka to be Maldini’s heir. Kaka recently met with Berlusconi, and I think Silvio told him as much. If Berlusconi has 100 million set aside for Ronaldinho (like he says), then I believe that he definitely will do what it takes to keep Kaka. Think about it. Kaka is the best player in the world right now. Why not invest in the best that you currently have, and then worry about other targets?

We have to remember one thing: Kaka is not Italian, so he has no nationalistic or local allegiance to Milan or Italian football. To keep him until retirement, Milan will probably have to renew his contract 3 more times, in my opinion. If Kaka leaves, however, I think it will be in 2012, or 2011 at the earliest. I think there are more chances, God willing, that he retires with our shirt. Remember, he also has a very robust sense of morality largely because he is a devout Christian.

I also think Berlusconi and Galliani will promise him a position in Milan’s management once he is done (like Leonardo).

Lastly, I never really trusted Sheva, and I don’t remember him professing eternal love or even promising eternal commitment (I may be wrong). When he went (at the age of 30 almost), I wasn’t too devastated.

The following figures have been derived from gazzetta and uefa magazine:

Currently Kaka earns 5.5 million euros a season at Milan (he is the 4th highest earner in the world). He earns close to 4 million euros from his image rights.

Milan will probably raise that to 7 ish million in his new contract and hand over his image rights to him, or maybe half his image rights. He may have a new clause in his contract that states he will earn all of his image rights if he stays with the club beyond 2012 (let’s say). When all is said and done, Kaka will pull in about 10-11 million euros.

Milan will also, most probably, make Kaka captain after Maldini leaves.

Remember, Milan have done a similar thing with Ronaldo. His base salary is 5 million, but he pockets all of his image rights (3 million, so a total of 8 million).

That’s my opinion of things.

I hope he will stay and retire as a rossonero. Idk if Ronaldinho will come or not next year...but if so, I believe they'll do all they can to keep Kaka.

Kaka!!!!!!! (previously: Kaka's future!!)

FROM GOAL.COM:

Kaka Unsure About Milan Future

The Rossoneri's midfielder admitted to a Brazilian daily newspaper that he might leave the Italian club in the future.

Ricardo Kaka made some unexpected comments to a Brazilian daily newspaper, 'Folha on line', as he declared that he is unsure about his future stay at Milan.

"For this year I will still continue with Milan, but later on I don't know," he admitted.

"I'm happy that my family feels well in Italy, but a lot will depend from Milan. I don't want to stay in a place where neither the club nor I are satisfied," Kaka explained.

"My rapport with Milan is clear: until Berlusconi wants me, I will remain with the Rossoneri. As soon as the President will not consider me non transferable anymore, I will go elsewhere."

Kaka also spoke about the probable Golden Ball win.

"I'm calm because to win the Golden Ball I do everything I can: that is I go on the pitch, play, train and do my job."

I believe Berlu's preparing to make Kaka as the new symbol for Milan after Paolo retires, so it's unlikely that Berlu himself initiates to include him on the transfer list.

so, if i'm not mistaken, there's nothing to worry about right ? kaka will leave if the president wants him to leave, as so will other players.

Shouldn't there be a 'doesn't' in that sentence?

Sounds about right though, it must have been at least a week since the last Kaka rumour
