All I have to say about this performance, is summarised in the chart this link takes you to:

http://touchline.onthespot.co.uk/gua...Str=League_Pos

I am very worried, and extremely concerned that we wont make 4th place this season...its early days yet, indeed...quite so...but unless we start winning...we can forget UCL qualification for next term...I have already dismissed the scudetto.

Oh, and we need somebody who can actually dribble when surrounded by defenders...like Ronaldo used to...or Rui Costa...but we dont, so we suffer.

I'm sure we'll make CL qualification but that wasn't our aim this season. Our aim this season now we started off on a level playing field with the other teams was to show that we can extend our European success to domestic success. With Ronaldo injured and Pato unavailable till January we're forced to play this 4-3-2-1 formation in Serie A which sadly will leave us hearing a lot of "Team X was extremely closed up and we could not break them down'.

The real Milan IMO will be seen around January when we should have all 4 of our forwards to pick from. Till then something has to be done so we aren't too far behind in the standings come January. I think we HAVE to abandon the 2 DM strategy against the 'closed' teams. That leaves us with 2 choices (IMO):

1. Play 4-3-1-2 with Gila and Pippo together(while throwing in Aubameyang from time to time)
2. Play 4-3-2-1 but drop 1 DM for another creative midfielder(sadly we only have one...Gourcuff) and play like Barcelona do with 1 real striker and 4 creative midfielders behind him.

Good thought!

If we can't keep up with the title runners on standingboard in Oct. Our aim of the season should be shifted as following;
1. bring back toyota cup,It's a mustwin mission(to go down in history for winning most trophies globewide).
2. make CL qualification domestically and full speed for CL title repeat.
3. nursing gorky and pato develope into next level.
4. explore wintermarket, wingbacks as priority,a promising creative Md if possible.integrate newblood into the current squad.
5. practice rotation system and stick to it on a regular basis.

If we complete aim 1,3,4,5 and front half of 2; I will not complain too much next june(if CL repeat,Carlo will be saint of my heart).Because we will build up a solid foundation for next season.with reinforcement at CB reserve next summermarket, we can full strength for all titles before our eyes.

ROFL^

Pato is a baby.. I'd put him in primavera. Then again, being to talented for them is a factor, all I want in winter mercato is 11 new players, but lets make sure galliani likes there teeth and they can model for versace first and become best friends.

Instead, we have Gila, tripping on his laces, wet turf, his own shoes, cleats getting stuck to the floor, getting hit by a drop of rain, eating to much italian cuisine before the match.. All his wonderful excuses aye?

what's next..

if i was to make a formation like Mystik & Icculus have, i would have to go for 4-2-3-1

------------ Kalac -------------------
Oddo -- Nesta -- Bonera -- Jankulovski
---- Gattuso ------- Ambrosini -------
-- Kaka ----- Pirlo ------ Gourcuff ----
------------ Inzaghi -----------------

Subs: Dida, Simic, Favalli, Emerson, Serginho, Aby, Gilardino

If all of those subs were fit of course.

I'm tired of seeing Pirlo wasted in the center circle. I think he should be further forward allowing him to strike at goal. Plus being further forward he can always drop back if necessary and i would expect him, Kaka & Gourcuff to swap positions alot to cause more havoc.

On the bench we have more variety and more importantly pace.

When has he ever offered any of these as excuses?

Warro, don't worry about the league position, at least we are ahead of Lazio!

After January we should be fine but we have to find a solution so that we aren't too far off come January.

I trust our strikers and milan lab.gila is struggling, that's true, but everybody has off days,he will get over it.With milan lab, pippo and r99 can maintain current level at least for another 2 years. And we got pato since next jan,the kid will prove worthy every second we give him on the field for getting mature.
I think our strikes pool is capable enough to compete in any kind of title race. The only concern is to stay healthy and good conditioning.

milan lab can't do anything about gila, he's in tip top form, he can run hes not fat thats for sure, i don't know what it is, HE JUST CANT SCORE. I think hes to weak, I see him get muscled out of 2 defs vs 1 striker situations ALL the time.
