Destiny of AC Milan

Destiny of AC Milan

Gourcuff has been giving his chances and did not play better than his team mates who are playing in his position.

The 'New Zidane' needs time and playing time in Serie A to adapt to Italian football which is physically harder and defensively stronger than the French league where he came from. Time and patience is the key word for him. He can blossom like a flower, I believe that. He is a good talent. But his development will only stop if he can't play.

The solution is to loan him out to a Serie A team who would let him play on a regular basis. And it needs to be a team that is both not a direct rival for Lo Scudetto and also not a relegation battler. Like Udinese for instance.

If say we loaned him out to Roma and he suddenly started playing up to his rep we would’ve gifted a direct rival for the title a weapon to use against us. And if we loaned him out to Livorno and he did OK and slowly improved by playing regularly but they relegated to Serie B then the next season he would have to either play in a league that is not good enough for him to grow in or be loaned out again to another club. And frankly I don’t think that would benefit the young man at all.

I love Carlo Ancelotti. I believe he is a strong coach and I want to see him in Milan for at least the next 10 years. Anyone saying he should be sacked because of our less fortunate beginning to the season must be out of their mind. Truly… Milan are lucky to have such a good coach.

Peace in Milan is there because of the love. Love is peace, peace is love. It is why Milan are strong.

Reliance on Kaka. It is a two-edged sword. On one side he is so damn good he can win us matches singlehandedly. But what happens if he is suspended, injured or otherwise unavailable for a match or two. Truly we have other great players but Kaka is number one.

To see that Maldini is back playing again makes me more happy than I can put into words. We've missed him a lot and he will steer the boat ashore again.

Youth. Milan needs to rejuvenate their team. There are a couple of players who needs to be sold. I doubt it will come true, but those are Favalli, Kalac, Serginho, Simic, Cafu and Ba. This of course cannot take place during the season but will be possible next summer. It’ll be hard to say goodbye to all those players and all the good memories. But this is life. We need to let go.

With this said we are a strong side in the sense that we have so much experience.

Kanoute. He is a good person, a strong believer in God and one of the best strikers in the world. I say we go out and give Sevilla an offer they can’t refuse.

The return of Sheva. I want him back. Although it is a dream at the moment I sincerely love him and I want him to wear red and black. He is still an amazing player.

Our CL chances are big as always. We need to proceed from our group as number one. That should be our first focus. If we do that we have good cards. CL is the most difficult tournament to win in the World. We can do it, we can win it again this season. It's a matter of luck and skill. We have a strong first 11 and with an ounce of luck we can win number 8.

In Serie A we're currently 7 points adrift Inter and 4 points adrift Roma and Juve. Before the season began I had a strong feeling Milan would win Lo Scudetto. After round 1 of Serie A it became clear to me that Inter and Milan would battle it out for Lo Scudetto this season. In one of the last rounds of Serie A there is the Derby della Madonnina. And here comes the good part – We have home advantage which means a majority of Milanisti at San Siro that day.

Baresi is an unknown quantity at this point
Gourcuff is a player that is still developing and progressing, but he's not the kind of player you loan out. He's a proven talent that would probably start for any other team. How on earth can you expect him to start in a star packed midfield consisting of Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, Gattuso and Ambrosini. 3 of those guys start for Italy and Kaka and Seedorf for Holland and Brazil!!! The midfield is the ONLY part of Milan that is PERFECT and it's VERY,VERY HARD to break into the starting lineup. I do agree with you that many players in our defense need to step down. On our defensive wings, Cafu and Favalli aren't good enough back-ups to Oddo and Janku. Serghino has been injured for as long as I can remember and Simic is NEVER going to become a regular for Milan so he will probably leave on a transfer. You also mentioned we rely heavily on Kaka. I don't believe that's very accurate because every time he missed a game this season, so did many other Milan starters like Pirlo,Oddo and Janku. So, you can't prove, at least this year, that Milan relies heavily on Kaka. Also, most of his goals this year came on penalties and the player with the most assists for Milan this year is Seedorf. We probably would have still won the games we won without Kaka.

Rico, the topics you mentioned above have been well covered in another threads. For example players thread (for Gorky, Paolo, and youth players), transfer thread (for the possibility of Sheva's return or Kanoute's arrival), the discussion and games thread. I don't see any need to open this thread

Baresi, I'm not saying we rely on Kaka per se.

I am saying if he is injured or suspended we have a problem.

Ya thats absolutely true, Kaka is milans source of goals, hes scoring the majority of them and hes creating all the oppurtunities. Yes, especially with ronaldos injury, if kaka were to get hurt huge blow to milan especially in Cl.
