I am completely at a loss for how the goalkeeper is responsible for others falling short of their usual level of play.

In fact from what I saw in watching 99% of the game--I missed the first 5 minuntes--everyone was playing well, including Dida. Nesta made some amazing saves and tackles, Pirlo was his usal sharp self, Kaka did well, Seedorf had at least 1 brilliant cross in the area, even Maldini set up some admirable plays. I saw one person waste alot of chances, and it was not Dida! So how about if you drop your prejudice against Dida and say something that actually makes sense after yesterday's game. We should have scored at least 4 goals, by my count, but for a forward--NOT a goalkeeper--who was missing chances.

I saw Pippo warming up but he never got subbed in. You don't want me to get started on how Ancelotti waits till the last minute or until it's too late to sub out a problem.

In that case, we should be thankful to God that we only play Palermo twice a season. Still, no way in hell would you have said that had Kalac been in goal yesterday with the exact same results.

And who is this guy? And wait...the latest player to slam Dida? Who are the other ones, the so brave ones that they would play with cut eyes and will not fall each time they seize an oportunity? (I would at least hope that the ones that have talk about have never taken a dive).

I don't wish this dude wrong or anything like it, but if he gets his eyebrow cut, or his nose broken I want to see him playing, as it seems that anything else would be not "manly enough" for his standards.

Just one more thing, the way this issue has been blown out of proportion represents everything that's wrong in football. We have seen players intentionally going to injure other ones, stamping on their foot, legs even their delicate areas...and no one makes a big buzz about it. But a player takes a dive and it is like the worse thing that has ever happen. Come on, a dive can happen for many things, you either want to avoid contact, you slip, or you simply saw a good timming for taking an oportunity (I know that one is cheating, but TBH, if you are in the small area, with little angle, your teamates are all marked, there's a rival player that is going to tackle you wouldn't you do it?).

Oh, and Dida was great yesterday. He had nothing to do with the goal, in fact had saved it, it would have been the save of the year, as it would have required massive speed in thinking + reaction skills, as the header was so close, in was a really fast play and was really great taken by Vucinic.

He made a few good saves in the milan-roma game, but hes still not the dida of a few years back, he seems scared of the ball lately. It wasnt entirely didas fault, its milans defence that at times are very slow.

Channel 4 will continue to stick it to Dida every which way they can for no reason until the day we die. That quote is a week old.

The article where it first appeared was a week old when Ch4 posted it.

I liked the part where he said he would tell Dida off if he saw him (yeah, right). He'd be wasting his breath anyway, since Dida doesn't speak English.

Dida was a very good GK but he is get old and he makes many mistakes.I think we should replace him.He is not good enough for Milan any more.Frey or Kameni would be good replacements.

Kameni won't exactly be a step up either.

Dida has lost confidence and make mistakes costly to Milan and that not good for team. For me Buffon make every GK look like baffoon.
