Alves was a disaster at the Copa America there's no way Milan will take a chance on him.

Ahhh but look at the whole picture my friend. Less than stellar in the tournament yes. However, over the course of the season he has proven his worth for the past 2 or 3 years.

Because he had 1 bad tournament does not mean he isn't worth the risk?

Nery Castillo had a teriffic tournament. (4 goals in 6 games) Does this mean that he is great & Milan should take the risk on him?

If you're basing your exclusion of Alves (for Milan) on what he did/didn't do at Copa America Tourney, you have to be willing to apply the inclusion of players by the same rule. So by that logic bring on Nery Castillo...he is the striker we should take the risk on.

In the DUTCH first division which doesn't mean a great deal anymore. Look at Kuyt or Kezman.

Good players, have in the past & will in the future continue to come out of this league. Wouldn't it would be a shame if we applied your logic and skipped on a player because he plays in this league and he turns out to be a phenomenal player.

You can't paint all players from a certain league with the same brush. Some players just need a fair opportunity to prove themselves at a higher levels.

He was given several for Brazil and failed.

He's played 8 games and has a goal (total)...slow maybe, but I wouldn't call that a failure.

Nery Castillo had one goal total for Mexico up until & including the CONCACAF Gold Cup & then exploded for 4 in the more difficult & challanging COPA America. If the Mexicans had adpoted your logic he could have been deemed a failure, replaced and not participated in the COPA America because of seemingly bad form.

In the Copa America A.Alves didn't play nearly as much as Nery (Fred, Wagner Love, & Robinho normally get the nod) & same in the couple of friendlies he played in.

8 games in total most of which (if not all) he came on as a sub and was played sparingly.

Give me a break, he'll be fine with more opportunities.

If the above is true...he is now getting his opportunity.

Let's see how he does by the end of the season and then assess him.

14 Million Pounds/20 Million Euros is being reported...Yikes!!!

Although it could considered a steal if he is able to perform for his (proposed) new club, as he is for his current.

I don't know about Quaresma, but Huntelaar is doing pretty well this season:
Huntelaar has 15 Goals & 4 Assists so far in all competitions (including CL/UEFA [2G+2A], National Team [1G]
& he's leading topscorer with 11 goals in 10 games in the league)

Elber and Jardel had fantastic Champions League campaigns. Alves could be another Ailton.

Why not you look for Asian player and buy some?
U know Nashat is a good player
He play as well as Pirlo play in Italy
And why Milan always lookin for a good striker?
Just give Willy more experience in Serie A
I bet he will be a good striker in the future
My dear Milan why you sell Coloccini?
We have no defender now
