No I remember that Galliani said that this policy is over from this moment(when Sheva was leaving to Chlelsea) he said sth like '' for 20 years Milan has not forced any player to stay, if somebody wanted to leave he did but from now on Milan will not allow any player to leave if the club needs him''

I see. Well, IMO any club in the world should have that policy. If a player wants to leave, let him leave.

I always found that when Milan had this philosophy it was a part of the soul of the club.

TBH, it saddens me a bit to realise they have turned their backs on this rule.

Oh well...

I don't expect Kaka to be like Maldini. There is only one player whose blood cells are half black. Kaka will leave soon, maybe next season

Kaka isn't going anywhere soon.

If he leaves, IMO he'll be 28 or 29 before he does.

Alot will has to do with the talent he will be surrounded by in the future, how good Milan is/will be (as nobody really wants to leave a winning team), the environment of where he is playing, and his relationship with (management) B & G.

It's definately more than just money for this guy, or he would have been gone last summer.

I think the most important thing is that we bring in young talented players this year and next year to show Kaka that this team is committed to being solid in the future & improving. (by improvng I mean competing on all fronts not only in the Champions League) We just can't continue to be this crappy in the Serie "A."

With world class players by his side and if Milan continues to win, we will have Kaka for the prime years of his life.

(His wife's happiness also has a part to play in any decision he will take)

I think I understand the way this guy works.

Report - Kaka wins Ballon d'Or

Newspaper reports in Italy claim that Milan hero Kaka has already been told he is the Ballon d’Or winner for 2007.

‘France Football’ will only officially name the victor on December 2 in a ceremony in Paris, but the top player tends to be alerted earlier for a photo shoot.

According to the ‘Corriere della Sera’, a member of the jury has told Kaka he is the winner.

The report claims that the figure called him up to explain that the gap in votes was so large there was no point waiting to give the good news.

Right from the start the Brazilian was the hot favourite for the title, having been the Champions League top scorer in Milan’s victorious campaign.

Potential challengers included his Rossoneri teammate Andrea Pirlo, Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, but they were reportedly left far behind by Kaka in the voting.

The 25-year-old Serie A star is set to succeed Italy captain Fabio Cannavaro as the European Player of the Year – and is expected to take the FIFA World Player of the Year title as well.

Milan have traditionally done very well in the Ballon d’Or, with Gianni Rivera lifting the trophy in 1969, Ruud Gullit in 1987 and Marco Van Basten taking it three times in 1988, ’89 and ’92.

George Weah represented the Rossoneri in 1995 and Andriy Shevchenko won the prestigious award in 2004.

much deserved imho although now that he is Mr Golden ball I expect the following from him
1) Better SerieA performances
2) Please don't follow the path of Sheva....shooting everytime he got the ball after he won it...then leaving us to go to a big money club
3) Kindly not open the media to transfer speculation if you know you're staying with us

Agree!!!! Come on playing 15 good Serie A games can't be that hard? He used to do it, I remember it, and it's hard for me to believe that is because every Serie A team knows how to defend him (which is awful cause it could basically means he is a one dimensional player who has no other alternatives to his football, and he isn't one dimensional).

Oh and yes, stop giving the media things to talk about they'll turn everything in a scandal (specially since he isn't really clear enough).

All in all CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
