Gourcuff is a great talent. I see so much qualities in him for such a young player. He's barely 20 y o. I think he will stay with us for a long period and within a few years he will become a starter.

How do you know that he's talented? Nobody have seen him in action enough (in a Milan shirt) to judge weather or not he's good enough. He hasn't been getting the chances, and I don't know if he deserves it.

His looks gained him a lot of fans before he even featured, and all those who ask Ancelotti to start Gourcuff are either female fans or they just don't want to see Seedorf playing.

I think that TILL NOW he's been hugely overrated. Loan him out and see what he'll do.

He's 21 btw.

I know watching his touch, his control, his overall technique, his physical qualities (very mature for such a young boy..his body can only improve if he avoids injuries). He's complete: has control of the ball, has heading qualities, has shoot (but can hugely improve), has some vision. He just needs to improve tactically and grow up technically, which is something physiological for a 21 y o guy, and something that can be learnt...if you don't have the talent, instead, nobody can teach it to you.

I'm 100% sure of his talent.

I'm not that optimistic. I think he's a bit selfish, and has little tactical education (which of course could be improved). He could become a nice player if he starts to pass the ball more often and practices shots, also I doubt that his body won't let him down in injuries... and not to fond of his technique either.

Anyway, I'm sure I'm a bit biased against him... but I believe that he has to get the games now in order to develop and if he can't get them here, then what's the problem in loaning him out till the end of the season?

I think you mentioned all parameters that can get better with practice and trainings. Look at Gattuso, what he was and what he's now. Look at Ambrosini or Seedorf, or Pirlo. These players have consistently developed in the last years. Gourcuff is in the same breath, wonder why Wenger offers 20 millions for him....

Exactly. So I'm not saying that we should sell him, just loan him out to get some games under his belt.

Today i heard he wants to stay and fight for a place all the season. Btw it's true he should play, but we can also say that he learns as well staying in Milanello. I doubt you can find many better technical and tactical structures, not to mention the physical preparation which is at sci- fi level (athlets and experts come from all over the world to study the Milan Lab technology). I would field him more often as well, especially in Serie A.

Anyway, there's hardly any attacking minded team in Italy to help him improve. I would be delighted to give him to Roma if they're interested, they play attractive football and Spalletti is a good coach. It's impossible though or at least very unlikely... but the problem is Carlo can't be giving him the games since we already are struggling to get a CL spot for next season so it's not the time to give him confidence or first team chances.

To name other players that have dramatically improved since they arrived: Kaladze and Jankulovski. Kaladze was an average- good player, now he's one of the best CB in Europe. Jankulovski couldn't defend when he arrived. We've even teached Serginho how to mark and defend.

Another quality Gourcuff has: personality. He's not scared to play, to try, to shoot, to kick corners or free kicks in a side of established champions. He's not scared of San Siro, something we couldn't say for much more travelled players.

I always wonder how some people can see who is talented, whos not when player plays bad or average. Its easy when you see player who is young and who plays good...like Nasri or Modrić. Ok...Yoann is talented ,he must be when he made transfer to AC Milan but realy he didnt show anything so far.We all want him to play but when he is in the game its usually very hard to watch. Maybe he has skills but question is does he has cool head. Just remember Daisler...I would like that Goruci is "the one" but so far...he is realy - nothing special.

Once i remember i had a discussion on Kaką with a brazilian guy. Kaką was just arrived in Milan. I told this guy i saw great vision in Kaką, even though he wasn't even near to the player he is today. This guy took the piss out of me, basically saying : "Kaką: great player but the least of his qualities is vision". I think we all can agree he was wrong.
It wasn't easy to see this particular quality, then. Now, it would be so easy, just look at his passes.

I don't think i foresee the future, but there are signs of greatness a person can notice in a player or not, just looking at the overall immanent qualities. If not, how would be possible for scouts to discover future world class players when they are actually teenagers?

It's all press talk if you ask me, Wenger woudln't offer that money to any one - be it world class. Its the way he works, he doesn't pay up money unless he see's true potential like Henry, Wiltord etc. In Gourcuff's case he has a lot of potential and to me he could develop into one of the worlds best, all he needs is confidence boost.

Plus if you look at the first and second team of Arsenal's - theres no place in midfield, he wouldnt leave one team to another where he would get limited chances.

You got it, scouts watch players over a big period of time in some cases some 40 games. This way players can be seen on their bad days too rather than just watching them one game where they play badly and don't get the opportunity to join another team. It's all about potential and there are only a few managers who can actually bring out the best in player like Ferguson - Ronaldo, Ancelotti - Kaka, Wenger - Henry, Fabregas, v.Persie and then you have total wasters like Mancini - Adriano.

There is no way we will let Gourcuff go. He has way too much talent, has the complete game and can make it in the first team and stay.

He just needs to be patient. Sooner or later someone will get injured and he will make 1 of the midfield spots his own. His time will come

I'll guess it would be a big mistake to let him go, the guy is clearly a talented overall midfielder, and should be a regular starter next season.

You guys keep talking that he has so much talent that he is the zidane etc.Well i dont see him as that good nor do i think he is gonna be good ever,i think he is just a mediocre player. If he would be world class he should have made a huge impact just like kaka when he was bought here.

Note that kaka was not bought to be a starter right away more like a back up for rui costa.

Hope he proves me wrong thought we need world class players, young ones that is.
