Not that i agree with ZK's use of the word's "ultimate disrespect" when comparing Buffon and Dida, but where does that merit two personal attacks? Surely a "I don't/can't agree with that because" or "how do you come to that conclusion?" would be a more balanced response rather than what has been offered. What on earth has someones spelling got anything to do with their footballing opinions? We all have opinions that we come here to debate and the forums would be a duller place if we all said nothing because someone will personolise their response. This is exactly what is wrong with the R&B forum where some users act in a group and chase others away whose opinions don't meet with your approval.

ZK, I don't agree with your appraisal. Dida is world class as is Buffon between the sticks. They have different styles but both come from legendary footballing countries and give as good and as bad as each other.

That's why I don't understand the mentality of the English pundit (no offense to British people). This is purely disgusting.

Andy Townsend is actually Irish, but anyway I wouldn't bother with him really, he's not worth listening to in first place. Anyway, I hope Dida (strong possibility he won't even play) does send Celtic out, they don't deserve to go through imo.

I was just thinking. In 2005, Dida was hit by a flare and lost his form. Recently, there was another public disaster in Glasgow. Is he back in form now? Did the second "blow" knock him back to his senses?

So much that even Zeekay has been rendered speechless.

Dida and Buffon turned back the clock to 2004 yesterday. However, I'm still awaiting the headlines that he's out for the next month due to his shoulder, because it happens only when he's back in form.

Nonetheless, I'd say the Glasgow incident has definitely been a wake up call. It was the first time in a long time that his position was truly under threat, in addition to the subsequent embarrassment. I'll go as far as to say it was Leeds all over again.

Kalac: No pressure on Dida

Milan goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac has backed his fellow Rossoneri shot-stopper Dida to cope with the undoubted abuse he will receive from away fans in Tuesday evening’s Champions League Group D clash with Celtic.

The Brazilian goalkeeper received a one-match ban on the back of the earlier meeting of the clubs in this season’s competition when his theatrics following being confronted by a pitch invader bordered on the pantomime.

Celtic won that game 2-1 but need a point in the San Siro to be certain of reaching the knockout stages for the second successive season and, with Milan already through, Kalac says his colleague is desperate to shut The Bhoys out and shut their fans up.

“Mentally Dida is strong,” former Leicester City goalkeeper Kalac was quoted as saying by The Sun.

“I train with him every day and to play in front of these people at the San Siro every week at this level you have to be strong mentally or you die.

“There are going to be a lot of Celtic fans here on Tuesday, but I’m sure Dida has played in much bigger games and more difficult circumstances than this.

“You only have to go back a couple of years to the Champions League semi-final in Barcelona. When you compare this with the pressure in that game, I don’t think he has much to worry about that.”

Dida kept a clean sheet in Milan’s draw with Juventus at the weekend and Kalac expects him to be at his best again with the incident from the Celtic Park encounter now a thing of the past.

“I don’t think what happened at Celtic will be in Dida’s mind at all,” added Kalac who took Dida’s place against Shakhtar Donetsk when the Brazilian was banned.

“It was an incident that happened and no one can change that, but it’s in the past now.

“I don’t think much of a deal has been made of it since then and there is no feeling of revenge.”

Milan will top the group if they avoid defeat, a result that would suit both sides, but the Australia international insists his side will play to win and add further to The Bhoys’ awful European away record.

However, he is also aware that fellow Australian Scott McDonald, who hit the winner when the sides met in October, can prove a threat to the hosts on Tuesday.

“Celtic are in a good position and I’m sure they will come with a gameplan. Hopefully both teams will go through, but their away record in Europe is their problem, just as our home record in Serie A is ours.

“It’s crazy and I don’t know why it is. You can’t work these things out, no matter how hard you try.

“Scott has a definite nose for goal and is always there when the ball falls down. That’s a good quality to have, very good.” (setantasports.com)

Dida is making to many mistakes. His time has passed. I think, that he should be replaced by Artur Boruc from Celtic Glasgow. He's good goalkeeper from Poland and Ancelotti said once, that he has a great talent and abilities.
