I hope Pato will very soon deliver the goods, but all that hype really send shivers thru my spine.

damn I can't wait to see the kid play. Uncle Silvio, Galliani and Carlo's words about Pato have really hyped me on, I am actually even looking for video clips of him training with the Brazilian olympic team right now lol.

However I still think our management are wrong in talking so much about him. Dont matter how good he is mentally or technically, he still has feelings and a brain. He wouldn't wanna let everyone down after waiting so long for him so he would be thinking of his debut so much and will play with alotta fear of making any mistakes when he gets his chance. That is whats happening with Gourcuff who has gotten zero media attention compared to Pato.

You may think pressure is not a big deal but believe me it is. You dont need to look far to find an example - take a look at Gilardino! If any of you have played in sports that have alot of audience looking at you, u will understand that it pressure is a huge factor. Did you guys know that the #1 fear in America is the fear of public speech? (fear of death came in second place!!!! lol!!!). Pressure will affect his performance whether it be 1% or it be 100%, it has affected so many experienced players like Ronaldinho, Kaka, Del Piero and the risks of it affecting an 18-year old kid that doesn't know the language or league is even higher. You gets get what im trying to say?

Well said, pal.... And people have already started to make suggestions like he can score 30+ goals btw January and June; as well as those comparing him to R99 in his Barcelona days(he was 20 yrs old then and more used to the European football), Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi...
No denying he is something very special indeed. But at such an early phase of his career, everyone should sing lavish praises in moderation so that it helps his development, rather than hamper it

Only thing that worries me is that people in San Siro will expect him to play as Ronaldinho did few years ago for Barca and Pato is still ismply not that good. I've seen him play for 5 times and every time he showed pure class, but also the lack of some football elements as passing at the right time, playing defensively, dribbling too much and so on...

But never mind that, as he is a yewell and in my oppinion, he really can take ANY defender one on one any day!

but Milan is putting to much pressure on him becouse we havent bought right players to play and now they are trying to make them selves up with " second Il phenomeno" stuff. Young players need to play with dosed minutages( not sure this word excist in englisgh, more in french sorry).

Pato WILL be a killer, more like Romario then Ronaldo as I dont see him being so fast sa Kaka' on 50 meters, but more like untouchable in 25 meters form goal. Forza alexandre!

P.S.

it would be better to have "Alexandre" on his shirt as he had with Brazilian team un U-17 as that sounds more powerfull

He will eventually pick up those qualities overtime...Like any youngsters, the only thing he lacks at the moment is experience, and all those lavish praises are just loading an extra burden on shoulders, which is why Berlu and Galliani should stop making such remarks about him...

I agree on your overall point, but you have to work on fears and challenge them, if they are unrational. I've talked in public, for a Moot Court competition at my University, and it is thrilling but not the end of the world, anyway.
And once you get into the things, you enjoy it as well. In facts i wanted to talk more. It's just matter to break the ice.

In football, a true champion sooner or later must challenge this fear: the fear of a great match or the pressure for a performance. What you suggest is just to postpone the moment, not solve the problem.

Here's my silly little concern about Pato:
He wasn't that prolific a scorer at Inter, he didn't score a whole heap this last U-20 gone how is he expected to be the next Ronaldo in a league were career threatening tackles by defenders are the order of the day

He'll be playing in Italy not England.

I think PAto played only half of a season with Internacional and it was his first play as a professional. He scored around 8 goals for Inter I think, which is ok in those circumstances.

In the U20 WC Brazil was awfull but he managed to score 4 goals still. Was it 4?

He may not score many goals this season and I don't care how many goals he could make as I don't expect so much from him regarding the number of goals but I believe his play will give big impact to Milan especially in Serie A. Until derby we didn't have any striker who can play wide and open space forward. With him Milan can use back the two-striker formation which is really needed in San Siro against defensive opponents. His type of play is what we were looking for, I think.

This boy is really young but he looks so dangerous when the chance of scoring comes to him.

Anyone has information about problem (if there is problem) of his contract/registration? (http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...ia/dec28h.html)
