There's been some talk of Premiership clubs getting Van Buyten on loan for the remainder of the season, so maybe 1 of their CBs will leave for good in the summer after all.

So because Kaka is close to Seedorf we have to keep him no matter what his performances are like? Talk about player power, that's a ridiculous risk to take. I'm sure Kaka was close to Shevchenko, but he got over it.

I do take on board that team harmony, spirit, call it what you will is important and even more so when the more senior members leave this summer. However, it's as much about on the field as off the field and if any player isn't pulling their weight or can't perform then they should adapt accordingly. The team can't afford to carry players who can't run or tackle for large proportions of the match, the way the game is played these days everyone has to defend. Call me old fashioned, but when i see a player throw his hands up in the air everytime he loses the ball and not make any worthwhile effort to get the ball back if he loses it, then i don't think they're worth a starting position until they improve their attitude.

It's a tough stance, but sometimes the players who make our history don't last as long as we hope.

I think we should wait and see how Giladrino hooks up with Pato before searching out for another striker.

Don't know where all your "sympathy" for Seedorf came from. He was key to our CL victory last year. He also delivered great performance yesterday.
Maybe you are influenced by EPL too much, where every player has to run and fight throughout the whole game? Seedorf has week sides like every player, however, his quality makes the difference on the scoreboard.
What I love about Italian football is, that individual performance plays lesser role than cohesiveness and individual FIT in the system.
For the same reason I dislike EPL

I agree with forward and also can see Jim`s point about seedorf, He cant run nor tackle, that`s why we were uncovered against Napoli, not because Rinho was absent. Ambro is a great tackler too.

Even at his best seedorf couldnt defend well, however we had much better defense and on form Dida in 2003 and 2005 for instance.

There is a reason why he was given number 10 shirt call me old fashioned but in milan that has a meaning),He is the leader of the team, in absence of Maldini, and he is considered to be extremely intelligent. Now I dont say lets play him regardless of anything. But I also dont think we should sacrifice Seedorf and Ambro for Pato. Rotation system always worked for Carlo and I`m sure hell find the formula this time too.

People, Clarence Seedorf is an apsolute WORLD CLASS player. He will play all the big games for us as a AM and we'll play with one forward: Pato or Ronaldo. thre will be no problems with Seedorf and Milan.

The problms we can expect are inzaghi and gila, unless Ronaldo gets injured again...

This sistem with 2 forwards and Kaka' needs to be used in serie a home matches and even in away against smaller teams as now we can see how teams have problems to defend against real attacking power, not just Gila and overplayed Kaka'.

Jim I must say I disagree with you on Seedorf. I don't think for the past year he's been particularly lazy and in truth has been one of our most in form players. This season, I'd say he's argubly been our most consistent performer (I can only really think of Nesta to challenge that) and he's been vital in a few matches. I think right now he deserves his spot in the side, and when he was moved back against Napoli, he didn't avoid his defensive duties (though I don't think he can now perform the role too regularly).

who are they? except Zambrotta all names linked with us these days lately are striker and GK (Benzema,Berbatov,Amauri,Pazzini,Ronaldinho,Buffon,Doni,Frey,Amelia,Lloris,or the newest is Pele).and suddenly after Pato performance against Napoli Berlu said he also never put Dinho on target. but i couldn't blame him at all as i said before we don't need Dinho specially with unbelieveable price
but i guess we'd been linked also with Lucio from Bayern.he is deffender but ain't young for sure (29).
According to the official site he said this

Quote:
Ronaldo and Pato have come to us, this is our transfer campaign and perhaps there will be a new experienced defender. Surely considering the age of our defensive department some reinforcements will be made. But we are also looking for a young defender. Ronaldinho? He's a player who could be useful to any team, but in this Milan side he's surely not indispensable.
That to me suggests we're looking at an experienced defender (Lucio definitely fits the bill) and a younger defender (Zapata maybe?), assuming we're talking about CBs only.

They haven't got the legs to cover.

Alex was simply an idea because chelsea will have to sell on of their cbs with ivanovic, alex, terry, carvahlo in the mix.
Terry is completely shot physically. He'll be retired inside two years and Carvalho has also struggled with injury in recent seasons. Chelsea won't sell Alex. Lampard and Drogba yes but not Alex.

Our managment has been persistent on Alex, and even though the figure may be inflated, it wont cost less than 20m. the only way we will see a bonera-nesta pairing(which i think is decent) is if we blow our money on ronaldinho. we could also consider zapata.
If management wanted Alex they would have signed him years ago. It’s too late now. Mertesacker would be my choice.

One of them is certainly Darmian from the youth team.

English football puts more effort into the game. Your players give 150%. It's good, but not great. I think it's one of the reasons England don't win a major competition since the Sixties.
A team should know when it's time to give it all, and when slow down. It's necessary to preserve important energies.

Seedorf is so brilliant because he knows that running like Gattuso he would lose his focus and brilliancy upfront. I prefer Brocchi to run like a donkey and those who have the big talent to do their job upfront.

Chelsea Football Club can confirm we have agreed terms with Lokomotiv Moscow for the transfer of Branislav Ivanovic. A work permit application has also been successful for the player.

The transfer is now subject to the agreement of personal terms and passing of the medical.

Yeah. We have 2 shrewest player in the world, him and Pippo, they are lazy but their contributions are great for us. Guys like them are hard to find now.
