Siregar, i think 1 CL = 5 scudetto is too much.
1 CL = 3 scudetto is more appropriate.

Oh man, at least after this match, we temporary stand at the 4th place (same point with Fio but better ratio).

Now, lose this match, Fio

Pretty dissapointing match. I hope Pippo save all his gas and fire all the cylinders against Arsenal next Wednesday

Although we are all easily aware of the problems the team has been facing in the past couple of seasons (the board too, believe it or not), it is actually much harder to pinpoint who exactly is to be held accountable. In my opinion, such issues are rarely attributed to a single source, and it is impossible to sum it up in a two-line post.

There are so many factors to consider: the board's unwillingness to spend in the transfer market, Ancelotti's fear of taking the occasional risk and mixing things up, the predictability of the team's tactics (partially due to a lack of squad depth), the aging squad (which, aside from the obvious fitness issues, also tends to affect the team's overall level of ambition), the lack of form of certain players, the annual "injury crisis", poor refereeing, luck in general, the long term effects of Calciopoli... it really is very hard to blame one person.

As some of you have suggested, maybe bringing in a new coach could introduce a fresh approach, but if the board refuses to spend, then I doubt we will witness a change. On the other hand, bringing in new players is important, but if we keep playing defensive-minded mid-table teams like a defensive-minded mid-table team ourselves, then we will have to get used to 0-0 scorelines (even with Drogba, Benzema, etc...)

I am fairly certain that the board are fully competent, despite occasional outlandish statements such as "Pato will score 30 goals in half a season". These people have worked in football for longer than some of us have been alive, so it is foolish to assume that they fail to recognize the situation. This doesn't necessarily mean that an avid fan is not knowledgeable, just that - as in politics - there tends to be crucial pieces of information that are simply unknown to the public. This also doesn't necessarily mean that we, as fans, have to agree with their every decision. However, I'd like to think that every decision they make, right or wrong, has some sort of rationale to it.

Personally, I hope to see Milan focus more on Serie A, even if it means less consistency in Europe, because I think it is crucial to build from the inside-out. I find it rather absurd that the current European & World Champions struggle to score against teams that are battling relegation.

On a side note, I am also very sorry for Ronaldo, and hope to see him on the pitch again, even if it is not in a Milan shirt. My apologies for the lengthy post.

we have 1 point there.even that better from 0 point but a beautiful win never hurts though

@Kalac: one of the best performers there.. alongside Cafu,Nesta,Kala and even subtitude Maldini (who reached his 1000th game) was solid. thx God he made some good saved.2 brilliant catched from Kalac against Budan.and his dived catch was superb.things gets hard for Dida.
@Cafu: when he started the game in this game i was like this: the hell Carletto puts the worst formation ever.. but it's turned out to be solid defense with Nesta and Kala (Janku not did as good as that 2 names).a good moment when he received the ball in the right flank from Kaka and passed the ball for Pippo but too bad the shot from Pippo clears crossbar.
@Nesta: GOD in defense.a good one came from Dessena who runs to broke Milan defense and sent a cross but Nesta cuts out not to mention the ball that he cleared from corner from Cigarini.. it was danger because Couto was waiting for that ball behing Sandro.
@Kaladze: finally i see Kala at his best performance.together with Nesta played his role brilliantly as centre back.best moment from him is when Morrone layed the ball for Cigarini who tried to thread a ball through to Lucarelli but Kaladze made a timely interception.
@Janku: with 4 defenders played only him ho played poor game last night.he almost made me fainted when he tried to cut the ball inside and sent the ball to penalty box but Falcone headed out to Reginaldo and they countered attack.luckily they found Nesta there but well.. at least he tried to made some attacks.
@Gattuso: not his best performance.the effort i could remember from him is when he received the ball from Cafu in the right flank but easy to intercepted by Parma defense.
@Emerson: well actually i look the usually Il' Puma that i used to see in Juve and Madrid.played a good game with some attacks.. best moment when he won two tackles in a row and layed it of for Kaka whose shot is blocked by Couto.
@Max: a good performance by him..even that not too stunning but he lead some attacks there.
@Serginho: not a good played from Serginho.couples times made some attacks but easily intercepted or cut by Parma defense.
@Kaka: after 2 or 3 un-KAKA played he finally BACK.lead the attacks and couples shots amazingly there.specially the last one in injury time which was blocked by Couto.
@Inzaghi: tried to put some effort there.but still no goal.i just remember he failed to shot on Bucci

subs:
@Maldini : reached 1000th game.and played a good defense in his milestone.replaced Janku who confused me whose age is younger between Janku and Maldini (Maldini was mobile instead of Janku ).always proud to have him as a captain in Milan
@Gila: plz.. don't be angry Gila's fans.. he is dissapear in all the game.poor performance by our strikers (Gila and Pippo).
@Pirlo: MOM for this game.. when he came our pathetic game turned to be alive again.definetely the air to breathe for Milan.some crosses and passes to lead the attacks.awesome by Pirlo!

Nice post, and good analysis. Thank you.
