They cant buy all the great players... Berlusconi can pay if he wants, aldough I have to agree, of course, that italian tax sistem is horrible.

Some agent, on tuttomercat, says Milan only has Benzema in sights...

That's, at least according to the management, one reason why we didn't get Henry, right?

The only reason actually.

So whats the reason we ddnt sign Toni then? Not Tony20, Luca Toni ?? We could have paied for him, even Toni said he had pre contract with Milan... We DIDNT want to sign nay players, Galliani lies about Henry as he does all the time. Milan can pay for every single player in the world if Berlusconi wants.

To it turns out like this: We want a striker...we ask Henry to join Milan but he is too expencive...

But the player we can afford we break the deal with... yeah right...

I thought there is a clause about Toni not to join another Italian team (though I maybe wrong?)

Fiorentina set two different price tag's for Toni. Foreign clubs had to pay 10 million while Italian teams had to pay 20 (or 25) million eur to buy Toni.

I guess Berlusconi thought it's smarter to pay the 20m for the brightest starlet of world's football than on Luca Toni, who even though world class, was 30 years old.

I don't know this. Your directors probably thought and hoped that Ronaldo will be ready and you have enough fire power up front with Pato, Ronaldo, Pippo and Gilardino.

Don't get me wrong. I was also amazed to see that Milan didn't buy younger quality midfielders or world class full backs/ centre backs. But there is explaination why certain players, like Henry and Toni for example, weren't bought.

I would have to disagree with this point. If you ask me, the signing of Pato was out of desperation instead of strategy. Remember, our first option for signing a new striker last summer wasn't Henry, Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Drogba, Shevchenko or Pato, it was David Suazo! Had we signed Suazo, Pato's signing would've been abandoned because we only planned on signing one striker. Pato might end up playing for Real Madrid by now and shining while Berlusconi keeps telling us that Suazo is just as good and Pato isn't a good fit for our team. It was only when we missed out on the cheapest available player in Suazo, Berlusconi had to sign somebody to our team or else the fans would turn on him, that's when he decided to finally open up the wallet and signed Pato. Berlusconi had a plan, but it failed because of Inter and we ended up getting Pato. Smartness had nothing to do with it, it was pure luck.

Some of the Italian papers are saying Zampa has told Juve that Amauri will cost them £15 million. If that's the case then i would suggest we go for him instead of Drogba. He'd be cheaper, have less expensive wages and more years in him.

I would also sound out a move for Cassano. Real would want to sell before his price tag plummets to zero and while i'm sure they wouldn't give him away, he'd be cheapish.

In terms of Ronaldo, i don't mind us offering him a new contract but i don't think we should pay him any wages until he's fully fit.

I'm skeptical about Cassano not his ability but his ability to regulate his emotions..

I don't watch Amauri's plays but I have read some news about him. Is he really good? I mean, is he really worth for £15 million?

I just checked his goals with the clubs he's ever played in Italy, his best achievement is only 11 goals per season when he played for Chievo in 2005/06.

why don't then "we" sign "me" , I'd be even cheaper, have even less expensive wages and even more years of playing than Amauri? if those were the criterias

I read somewhere that it's more because Toni doesn't like to find himself playing against Fiorentina that he chose to move abroad. Personally, I'd welcome a quality player like him any day, though considering about long term objectives, I think we should try to get Benzema

But I always question: Don't we have any other targets? Is benzema enough? I mean, benzema will be a great addition for us,but he won't be a solution for our defense. (You know,our defenders are so........ (cough)..)

Well,IMO we need defender

There's plenty of players in Germany, Italy & France at the right level who jump at the chance to play for Milan, yet we keep filling our squad with rejects who don't add anything but numbers to our squad. We've got a declining great team, but an overloaded below average squad.

Rafinha seemed to have another good game in Europe last night, he would surely be a cheaper alternative to Alves.

I know people will say we don't need so many full-backs, but i really feel that we should be looking at 2 or 3 of these types of players for 2 reasons. The first is that the full-backs we have just aren't consistently good enough and the second is that these types of attacking full-backs can be utilised further up the field in other positions. You know how we love our versatility

I would love to see us sign Vargas, Zambrotta and Rafinha. That may seem harsh on Oddo & Jankulovski (particularly as the latter is responsible for gettings us about 6-9 points this season), however these are arguably our most important positions in the side and we need an improvement over what we currently have.

For about £25 million i think we could get those 3 & Zapata and really evolve our defence. You know it makes sense
