I would love to see us sign Vargas, Zambrotta and Rafinha. That may seem harsh on Oddo & Jankulovski (particularly as the latter is responsible for gettings us about 6-9 points this season), however these are arguably our most important positions in the side and we need an improvement over what we currently have.

For about £25 million i think we could get those 3 & Zapata and really evolve our defence. You know it makes sense

Maybe last season Oddo & Janku were responsible for a few points, but this season??

From my point of view, the club needs to sell/fire (lol depends of the clubs interested to buy them) or give a staff job to:

Cafu, Serginho, Favalli, Emerson, and unfortunately, Inzaghi (he will be in trouble i think next year) and Ronaldo (i think it is finished, if he comes back, he will be injured again 2-3 matchs later)
Maldini will stop

So they would have to be replaced by a mix of young players and experienced players:
Zaccardo (15M € ?),
Zambrotta (8M € ?) or Pasqual (10M € ?),
Barzagli (20M € ?) or Zapata (same),
Dessena (15M € ?),
Rosina (20M € ?) or Montolivo (same) => we need by the way a player able to replace sometimes Kaka' and able to play well when he replaces Kaka',
Toni (10M €) or letting time to Paloschi to become a good goalscorer, at least until January and then, if he doesn"t improve, buying a good goalscorer in Italia,
A foreign "fuoriclasse" such as Eto'o, Drogba, Villa, Tevez, Rooney, Torres, etc ...

An expensive mercato (90M € + the last player who would be the most expensive) but it would be needed because the team needs some changes and needs to be able to play well even when the best players are not there (for moment, if you put off the team Pirlo and Kaka', there is no team playing anymore).

PS: Milan can do such an expensive mercato like that, we didn't spend money for the 3 last mercatos ...

For Rafinha, it could be ok, but not Vargas, he is too offensive and is bad in defense (a bit like Janku or Serginho or Cafu nowadays).

I don't think that AC Milan will spend crazy amount of money this summer.

Probably Zambrotta will replace Maldini, and Boriello will come back.
Maybe, if management decide to spend some more money they will trade Boriello with Amauri, as Palermo president suggest he will accept. But in that case young Paloschi wont be promoted as first team player and loaned somewhere as long as Gilardino stays.
My oppinion is that we must find replacement for Pirlo, because he can't play all the games in the season. I would love to see Flamini in the team, for example.

I would love to see some young blood from youth deparments promoted to first team. Maybe there is new MAldini around there :-)

Actually, we don't need as many changes as in my "dreaming mercato" lol ...
One in defense (able to replace both Nesta or Kaladze, or best, someone able to play with Nesta, Kaladze being put on the left), one in midfield (to replace Pirlo), one in offensive midfield (to replace Kaka') and one in attack.

In defense, we can take Marzoratti, back to home
In attack, it's true that we can just take one of Boriello (i don't like him), Oliveira (he scores goals in Spain) or Pozzi (not enough mature anyway).

It is 100% free because they are Milan players (are Marzoratti and Pozzi still Milan players ?) ... We just would have to look for the replacements of Kaka' (I'd like to see Diego at Seedorf's place and playing with Kaka') and Pirlo (Montolivo could be a good choice for future).

He's a good player in Arsenal, but would he have the required level to play in Milan ?
I'm French but I don't like the French players in Milan for the last few years (Dhorasso was an error, a joke lol, and Gourcuff is good but he seems like there is something missing in his playing style ...).

Tony75, in the first few games of this season didn't Jankulovski score a couple of match winning goals? I'm sure he did, before he got injured anyway.

GeoTav, i don't think Vargas is bad defensively, i think he's solid and very powerful. I'd also question why you'd want to put Kaladze at left-back, he'd be awful there.

Janku this season is:
8 Serie A matches - 0 goal
2 CL matches - 0 goal

He's been injured very early in the season so perhaps he will score some very important goals in the end of the season ...

For Kaladze, I think it's better having him at left-back rather than Janku or Serginho or Favalli because he has good defensive skills. Nevertheless, he's unable to support the offensive players in an offensive phase ... I just think the team would be more balanced.

As for Kaladze in LB, it works well IMO if we dont' play with 2 dm, as he's decent, not great going forward. has good cross though.

Don't forget the 'star transfer' for the following season where Ronaldo moves on a free transfer from a bed in a Paris Hospital where Zidane is unknown to one in the Milan Lab

Kaladze's defensive abilities are questionable to say the least and he has no pace or control, why would you put him at left-back when Vargas would be far superior? Our style of play depends on attacking full-backs to supply the width we don't have, putting in a more defensive full-back only weakens our ability to break teams down.

I guess i must have got my games muddled up for Jankulovski. The fact he has been even less influential than i originally thought only highlights the need for better players in these areas.

Kaladze will never have Nesta's defensive skills. but i find his performances pretty decent. He's not a natural born defender, but a built up one. I'd like to point out that his progresses have been consistent in the last seasons, though.

Kaladze is doing pretty well, no problem with him.

Anyway, it's very banal now, but shouldn't we consider to splash a few bucks on Adebayor ? I think Arsenal would sell him for a good offer.
