Hard times for me too at home: my family is for Juventus, and friends for Marseille (the only French team having won the CL against ... argh Milan, ****), so I'm going to receive lots of messages.

Now that Milan is eliminated, Arsenal must go the farrest and why not, against AS Roma ... I don't want any of the other teams (I don't want any team actually).

Heres my player ratings for the nite:
Kalac- 6 Decent game, made all the saves that he needed to make. I doubt we will see him next year. There is only one goalkeeper that MIGHT have saved that shot, and he plays for Juve.
oddo- 6.5 good game by oddo. he played his role and had a few nice combinations.
nesta- 6.5 generally solid but adebayor caused him a lot of problems.
kaladze- 6 average performance
maldini- 7 our best defender and player in the game
gattuso- 7 played with a lot of heart and helped the defense in the 1st half on many occassions
ambro-6 played better as the game went on but failed to make his presence felt.
pirlo-4 aside from his set pieces, he was absolutely awfull. he didn create and made some primitive mistakes. by far the worst player on the pitch for both legs.
kaka-6.5 created a lot of problems to the arsenal defense but needs to add accuracy to his shots.
pato- 5.5 relatively poor game, but he cannot be blamed. he is young and we expected too much of him. it is obvious that the talent is there but give him at least a season for him to be a difference maker
inzaghi- 5 inzaghi alwais plays the same, offsides, complaining. he is generally invisible because he cannot hang on to the ball. at the end of the day, all that matters is wether he scored or not. if he scores, he is the hero, and if he doesnt, then he had a bad game.
gila- was he realli there?

carlo- 6 he lost but milan did not play that bad. i felt they did the best with what they have. its the end of the era, and i dont think he should get sacked, but if we are makin a new team with new players, we mite need a new mentality. when u consider the fatigue and lack of reserves, you can sympathize with carlo.

overall, this will be a new beginning. we all knew it was eventually coming, but its sad that it was this early. without milan in it, CL has no meaning to me. hopefully we will see a few changes this coming summer. let's start with finding a forward to play with pato, a reserve for pirlo, and at least one fullback.

Please don't blame individuals. We just didn't play great as a team. Nobody stepped up to make a difference. Pirlo gave the ball away on the 1st goal but there were plenty of others throughout the game the gave the ball away only for us to be lucky not to concede on those plays. Congratuations to Arsenal. I hope they do well in the later rounds.
Be proud friends. We support a very unique team that will surely be back in the competition for revange. For now let's gather ourselves and support the team in the remaining of the Serie A where there is still a lot of work to do.

I agree whole heartedly with this statement. Really do.
The season we had, simply disastrous. Our transfers that was brought in to reinforce the European Champions simply was not enough. This is a very very sad moment for me coz as much as I was hoping for a Miracle from the time Fabregas hit the post in the first-half, I knew this game will not be a repeat of the ManUtd game of last season simply because Arsenal is way better than the ManUtd of last season. They played with Class & Finesse that totally belies the team of such youth. Chins Up Guys coz even till the last minute Milan did not throw in the towel and still played on.

Well.. I can only wonder what is going on in Berlu's & Galliani's mind at the moment coz Milans weakness was thoroughly exposed tonight. Weakness that was evident in the PSV game and some glimpses in the ManUtd first leg last season. We do not have adequate strength, not to mention class, in the substitute bench. We need some fresh blood and we cannot be making excuses anymore.

feel your pain bro, i also had a fight with my boss, not studying any more but had a car accident, and now milan lost, and i have someone from work that is a die hard PL fan, that will use every opportunity to kill my morals.

if we don't get to much active in summer transfer i can see us more horible than this year.

very dissapointed...how can i not be...its been a while watching milan lose out of the champions league espicially at home...we just didnt have the legs to keep up what we did in the first 20 min...although we didnt play as bad as some of you say...pato should have reallly scored..and pirlo and ambro had possibly their worst game in the milan jersey...but than again look at all the games we have played..pirlo was at fault for the first goal..he cheaply gave the ball away somethign he would have never done if he wasnt this tired..now we can just hope to take some positives out of this and go for forth place..this defeat just feels too much right now..because our hope llies in the champions league and now there is only 4th place congrats to arsenal for running their ass off and working so hard

We need a new coach.

So a great game has just finished. Cannot say I am surprised, this Arsenal team is so hungry and want to prove to everyone how good they can be. Today was no different. We had 3 First Team starters(Rosicky, RVP, Toure) who did not play, making it an even better victory. I'd leave it at that and let you guys be. This is my last post here, it was great knowing you guys. I thought I would let you know that other than Arsenal your the only opponents, whose forum I have been on. Shows the respect I have for your team. Thanks

We are Milan, we're not like thos small poor clubs that will never do anything except changing coaches each year, and sometimes many times a year ...

We are Milan, Carlito, like the players, is still part of Milan !!

carlo is responsible for a huge part of the lose, i'm not saying tactical wise, i'm talking about not asking for reinforcments, i mean he should have saw this coming 2 years ago, when too many people is seeing what the coach should have said or done, then the coach should be changed in my opinion.

We lost, but we lost beautifully, every player tried his best. Dont burden Pippo to much, he deserved to rest.

The old age could not help us every year. It is better to lose against young side like Arsenal. This is the end of the road, but this road is worthy to rewatch.

Umh prove me the contrary, but i read everywhere that Buffon was going to be part of Milan last year, and it's not Carlito who said "No", it's our president ...

No way to change all, we're one of the most solid clubs in world, we just need to build up a new team around our best players and symbols (Nesta, Gattuso, Pirlo, Kaka) for the next 5-6 years.

I was amazed how Arsenal were dominating most of the time, at one time the possession was 60-30 for the Gooners, the game was excellent for the English, Milan played their worst CL match in history of this generation that has been a Euro powerhouse for the last 4 years and beaten by a bunch of "kids"

Great game by Arsenal, bye bye Milan, this is the slap that you need for putting your heads over the league, now it's the only thing that you got 4th place, Milan will come out with not a single trophy this year, and if there are no summer activities then it could be another dismal season.
