Long time wihtout post here, my friends...
Fisrt of all, I had a accident and was in a bed for almost 2 months.
But now Iīm ok, and almost at 100% of my health.

As the injury was in the lumbar column, I cannot be in a chair in front to the computer for much time, so I will to write in small installments

David Luiz(Benfica): I know 18yo Breno receives a lot of praise and hype this winter and now is a Bayern player, but if I have to put my money in a young brazilian defender right now, it would be David Luiz. Donīt get me wrong, Breno is a amazing prospect(a freak for his age) and was great in Brasileirão, but some fact needs to be take carefull...Some years ago, I was here in MM praising a young brazilian defender(Alex), and saying we need to buy him, that it was ready to play for us but I canīt say the same for Breno.

In that Santos team, Alex played in a 4 man brazilian defence(or either, with 2 attacking full baks) and paired with a below average and crazy CB(Andre Luiz). Besides that Alex was named 2 time the best brazilian defender. Breno on the other hand, played in 3 man defense(much more protect) but was chosen deservedly the rookie of the year. In that 3 man defense was also the guy chosen the best defender of brasileirão, Miranda. So, my poin is: Breno is a amazing prospect, but it is till is this, a prospect.

Now, thats takes me back to David Luiz. David IMO canīt be labeled as a prospect...a young and still in development player, but far from a prospect. I wrote about David in this thread some months ago, but everytime that I wach this boy playing, I remember of the young version of the best defender in the world: Nesta. For the ones that saw our game against Benfica(in Portugal. The first game in San Siro David was injured) in CL, had been able to see a #23 young CB tackling and cuting every attempt at his side of defense and including two decisive ones against kaká...

The lad is already in the heart of Benfica supporters, and IMO is outplaying Luizão in the middle of benfica defense. David is a future starter of brazilian Olimpic team, and receives alot o praise by Dunga. The most impressive brazilian defender that I saw since Alex, and imo will be a top 10 at the day that he goes to a big club in a BIG market(IMO Benfica is a big club).

BTW, I read one Milan suporter in a Real Madrid forum asking to a brazilian member about David luiz and saying that thereīs a rumour about David in Milan...anyone saw that notice?? Iīm not registred in that forum, so I canīt ask it to him...thanks

Obs: Tomorow I will write about other amazing young player(not a prospect) Hernanes, the "brazilian Pirlo" of São Paulo

Nice review. Can you also give a review about Neves?

Thanks siregar, Iīm almost there...but the three months had been difficult

Neves is the tipical brazilian AMD...as I post in another thread, he isnīt a Nedved type of mid. He doesnīt have the work rate to play in a Seedorf role and help our defense.

Tiago is skilled, has a amazing shot and is a great free-kick taker(near or far). But I donīt know...I canīt come here and to say that we can to buy him like I did with Pato, Lucas, Anderson, Alex, Marcelo, Arouca...Overrated isnīt fair because hes playing really well(Renato Augusto is overrated), but if I was at Milanelo, I really donīt waste our non-euro spot with Tiago Neves...I donīt think heīs worth like the other above...

Thank you Brasileiro.

Why dont we buy him and loan him just like Inter did to Julio Cesar so next year Neves won't be a non-EU player. I think we need a player like that when we play 2 AM behind 1 stiker or when we play 4-4-2, the formation that we cant use anymore since pretty long time. I remember we used this formation a couple of times with Seedorf and Kaka as the wingers and when Sheva still played for Milan.

Regarding his defensive skills maybe Milan can train him just like Milan did to Serginho.

Brasiliero, is it you who spoke about Jo on the forum ?
Just read a news: Leonardo would advice Galliani/Berlu to take him as an alternativ of Drogba or Amauri (and like he is less expensive ... lol).

Calciomercato has something on Leonardo watching CSKA Moscow's Jo, they also put a nice video clip of him on the site.

What do you think of him Brasileiro? you think this rumour has any truth in it?

hitmannq8 and GeoTav, I hope that Leonardo donīt give this advice(Jô) to Berlu/Galliani...maybe in the future Jô proveīs me wrong, but today, I donīt want him at Milan, period!!

I will try to write about Hernanes( the Pirlo of São Paulo) and Alex Teixeira(Second striker/AMD of Vasco) today...

Since we are still linked with Hernanes, Alex Silva of São Paulo, I will write about Hernanes(I donīt think Alex Silva is worth a AC Milan no-eu spot)

Hernanes(1.80cm 76kg - 1985).
Positions: CMD, DMD, OMD, RB and Second Striker...
Yep, believing it or not, this guy, at only 23yo already played in all these positions
But it was in Pirloīs role(or DMD) that Hernanes becoming one of the best DMD of Brazil. I thought to write about him here in MM last year after brazilian championship, but I wasnīt convinced at that time.
After a great year(2007), Hernanes drop his form in the begining of this year. But unlike his DMD pair and also called for Brazil NT(Richarlison), the boy started to prove it wasnīt a one year wonder like Richarlison.

Basically, Hernanes is a poor man Pirlo right now. But do not take this like a bash on the lad, in contrast, take this as a compliment. This "young Pirlo" isnīt also a project. To be honest, in some parts of the game heīs already better than pirlo. Said that, be carefull...Iīm not saying that heīs the better player right now.

Hernanes is one of the few players in the world that can say that is ambidextrous. Watching this guy playing and shoting, you canīt realy tell which is his better leg(heīs dexterous). He also has a fierce shot on both legs. The funny thing about this Hernanes ability, was heīs quote saying that not only develope the left foot, but also the left hand. This all because his dream(when a kid) was to be a left-handed(and foot) person.

He has very good pace, drible skills, vision, pass and is becoming better and better in defense. Aslo is know as a great character and locker room guy. He has a trade mark play...this stepover(sp?) and shot:
http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=wMNOAW...eature=related
http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=N-R5gR0b7Po
http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=z3e3EC...eature=related

He already said that molde his game watching Pirlo...so, why not bring the apprentice to learn and play with the master?? Problem?? Donīt have european passaport. But if you ask me and we donīt bring Alex(Chelsea) heīs worth the spot.

Coincidence or not, while I was writing this post, Dino Sani http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dino_Sani , maybe the first "Pirlo" of AC Milan(Dino was a OMD at São Paulo and later it was transformed in a DMD) was talking about currently players and praising Hernanes.
For the ones that donīt know Dino Sani, he played this "Pirloīs role" at the AC Milan side winner of scudetto 1961-62 and 1962-63 European Cup and was the coach that in the past disclosed for the football the best DMD that I saw playing: Falcão, "The King of Rome". So, getting compliments from a legend and one of the best players at his position in Brazil isnīt for everyone...and if the rumours are right, and Leonardo realy wants Hernanes(and I hope not Alex Silva), in Milan, I will be more than happy.

Even if we use the non-euro spot in some one more established in Europe, heīs more than worth a buy and loan for a middle team in Italy, to be brought later. If not, we could bring the boy right now and he will fight for a starting job...IMO heīs more worth the non-euro spot than a guy like Sheva, period!

Tuttosport (most unreliable paper) apparently say that Sao Paolo president is in Milan right now to negotiate a deal for Hernanez...another report say that Inter have become closer to Hernanez than Milan.

(could be lies, seeing as the Sao Paolo president is just trying to keep Adriano for longer at Sao Paolo)
