Yesterday i watched a tv football show and Berlusconi spoke there, while the journalists asked him about the upcoming market news.

He basically said not to worry, he will open the wallet up. He said we'll strenghten the team in every department , but won't make a revolution. He specifically mentioned "we'll strenghten the defence" and "we're looking for a first powerful striker". Once the jornalists asked him a few names, he said : "i won't uncover our plans". It means they are already dealing the player, otherwise he would have said a few names and waited for the reaction from the fans.

My personal idea is: we're dealing Luca Toni. I would welcome Toni any day, the guy is practically unmarkable. But this is just my gut feeling.

-----------------------------------------------

He said: "Ronaldinho, no thanks". He said that we have two fantastic guys in Kakā and Pato, and Ronaldinho bad attitude could affect these players. He said we're looking for a player with other characteristics. He said that Ronaldinho's behaviour wouldn't suit Milan's morale code and would unbalance the dressing room.

----------------------------------------

On another note, Damiani, a preheminent football agent, who was Shevchenko's agent and the agent of many important players, when journalists asked about the rumours that link Flamini with Milan, he smiled and he said he can't say anything. I think this rumour is getting bigger than just an internet fairy tale. Watch out, because Flamini would be a fantastic and cheap signing.

It's a realistic rumour, because free agents with a contract expiring in summer usually sign a new contract in february/ march.

Actually when i heard news about Flamini, i really hope that he really can join with Milan, beside he is cheap and relatively young. He would be versatile for us as back-up for Ambro/Gattuso, he even can play as left back ( remember season 2005/2006 ) pretty well.

Striker ? Yes we really need one, but i agree he must be world class such as Drogba/Toni or possibly cheaper but has talent and enough experience, possibly Pandev,Mario Gomez or even Adebayor.

The following players are MUST for AC Milan to challenge for the CL + Scudetto next season. ACM is a huge club & this policy of going for CL lonely every season is wrong. As I have said one before, this shocking defeat to those school kid wouldn't have hurt that much severely, if ACM were still in the search of the 18th Scudetto. This is much more worse time than the defeats to the Deportivo & Liverpool, because ACM fans had some thing to cheer then i.e 17th Scudetto & being the Best club of the world respectively.

Igor Akinfeev
Thank God, no more d!da. Full marks to Kalac, but ACM desrvs better, I mean the very best. Buffon won't come, Cech will be very expensive & the other options left are Casilles, Hilderbrand, Valdez & Akinfeev (imo). So iguess Akinfeev would be a great choice as he is young & already had plenty of experience at the big stage. Plus he is very cute

Daniel Alves
ACM is at its best when the full backs are bombing forward and putting crosses in againg and again. Daniel Alvez is like the Cafu of 2003-2005 & what better ACM could ask for? No disrespect to Oddo, but he has really disappointed in the recent times. But both Alvez & Oddo could play, as the there are 38 league matches, 13 UCL matches + Coppa Italia

Gianluca Zambrota
Lets sign him & get the best out of him for next 2-3 years. he has lost a bit in Barca (imo). At ACM he would become the Zomby of WC 2006. Just imagine, Daniel Alvez from right & Zambrota from left,...........plenty of crosses & some goals

Poulsen
No disrespect to Ambrosini, but ACM now needs some one much tougher for the big matches considering the fact that Gattuso is also not the same phsical street fighter of 2-3 yeasr ago. I can't see any one being a better fighter than Pousen, maybe J.Masherano, but he has played for Liverpool so he is not allowed at ACM or at least I would not welcome such player

Frank Lampard
Seedorf still as a world class player but lacks consistency. To win a league, a club needs a hard working & consistent performer like Frank Lampard. Plus he would guaruntee 20+ goals, which means virtually 1 more striker. But Chelsea would be the biggest fools on Earth if they let Frank Lampard go, a true Legend

Choices for a new striker: Messi or Benzema or Villa or Huntelaar or Drogba

Linol Messi
Barca would be idiots if they let go this magician. If I was Barca, i would have let Henry, Ronaldinho & Eto'o go but not this kid. They best young player of the world, sorry but our Pato is no where near this sublime player. He would simply make a partnership with Kaka and play just behind Gila or Pato. It would be like having Cryuff+Maradona+van Basten (in case of Gila) or Cryuff+Maradona+Ronaldo (in case of Pato) in the same team

Karim Benzema
42 million pounds is a mind blowing amount of money which the Lyon Boss has put the tag on Benzema. But in couple of years time this amount could go to 70 million or maybe even more. Because the way I see it after 10 years when fans like us will discuss about he best strikers of the last 30 years or so in forums. Their list would contain these names:-
van Basten, Batistuta, Ronaldo & Benzema. Though I would like to see his hair grow more. Short hairs suck

David Villa
My personal favorite choice. He has got every thing to become the best forward of the world. Style, streght, technique & you just name it..........
He will form a stunning partnership wil Gila or Pato in no time. Especially with Gila, as Gila will play like Inzaghi & Villa just like that ex-Dynamo Kiev man (#7). ACM fans will remember them as Gil-Vil-A force

Klaas Jan Huntelaar
If Fernando Torres can go to Liverpool and become such a hit player, then Huntelaar could come to ACM and become twice as good. The reason why van Basten treats this fellow so badly is that he is afraid that this young striker could go above him in the list of greatest Dutch strikers. He could become an ideal partner to Pato & our new # 9

Didier Drogba
If non of the above mentined strikers is available then Drogba is the final palyer who could solve the goals problem in ACM. The great thing about him is that he can play own his own upfront & at the same time can create chances for him self unlike Gila who requires the service (No doubts about his finishing skills though), which is very important specially for the away matches in Europe. Chelsea took ACM's clinical finisher, lets make them taste of their own medicine by taking Drogba away from Stamford Bridge

-----------------------------------------------------------

Super-Sub Jon Dahl Tomasson
Lets bring back this 'unsung hero'. If ACM had JDT on the bench, he would have stepped on to the pitch and scored the winner in the 83th minute. He has just won the La Liga title for Real Madrid, despite not being their player. He recently scored 80th minute winner against Barcelona in the Camp Nou, creating an 8 point gap b/w Real & Barca.

If ACM can have these players than no one can stop ACM both in Italy & Europe.

I love you 'AC Milan'

Rio has a great Carnival to watch...but if you want "fun", Salvador is the best place on earth And if you want to come here, just talk to me!!

I've managed to find who Chelsea & Real Madrid were chasing, it's an 18 year old Santos Left-Back called Thiago Carleto. It was in an English newspaper so i wouldn't read anything into it, but apparently both clubs were going to pay about Ģ5 million for him.

Whilst searching for that rumour, i came across this:

MILAN, Appear the baby talent Dentinho

Source: www.milannews.it
His name is Dentinho and he is one of the most interesting names of Paulistao 2008: the 19 year old, Bruno Ferrera Bonfim is the first striker that yesterday has scored twice with Corinthians' jersey.

In Brazil there are rumors about Milan interest , after the one of Real Madrid and Arsenal. The player value is about 4 million euros.

Do you know anything about either Dentinho or Thiago Carleto?
I know Thiago Carleto, and Kulspruta gives a good description about Tiago here. But I just wants to add that Marcelo at 17 was the best player at Fluminense first team, while Thiago is fighting for the starter job. Heīs playing, but still needs to show more and hold his place...But if I have to put my money in one Santos player, it would be Neymar...this kid could be great!

Regarding Dentinho, IMO this is the pure crap rumour...Milan out of the CL, fighting for the 4th place...so, the kid scores last week and all of suden Milan directors are after him? This boy is just a project, and I donīt think heīs that good...

Not the fastest around but certainly faster than Ringho and Ambro.......Flamini (free) would be the best buy of the summer if it happens. Flamini can battle for first team with Max and ringhio, unlike Emo and brochi and can cover the left flank when needed.

I don't think the striker is Toni, could be good (even if he's old), but I think, unfortunately, that this "powerful striker" will be ... argh the very powerfull Scheva lol !!

There's a news I read today ... the Ukrainian player would look for a house in Milan ...

For Flamini, he would be a good signing, but why doesn't he sign a new contract with Arsenal ? It seems like he is more often a starter and he is more and more important for Arsenal ... anyway, the fight will be rude for all the clubs wanting him to come. But I think he would be better in Milan for example than in Real Madrid.

Saw a news this morning too: Anigo, one of the managers of Marseille, said Gourcuff was in their short-list for the next mercato and that he would be perfect to play with Nasri, even if he doesn't know if Nasri will stay.
So are we going to buy Nasri by giving them Gourcuff ??
I don't like this idea, Nasri has been injured this year many times whereas he is young, he doesn't have come back to his level for moment, and since Valbuena exploded to a high-level with Gerets arrival as Marseille's coach, since Niang plays well with Cissé, it's like if Nasri was useless in this team, and so, he would be too in such a big team like Milan !!

Flamini has everything to take one of the starting spots in our midfield. Right now he's playing better than either Gattuso or Ambrosini. He does a hell of alot of running & tracking back, which is a good start ... and he can score goals, albeit not many, but check out his rocket against Newcastle at the Emirates and it's something neither of our 2 DMs could do. Plus i think he's better/more comfortable on the ball than either Ambrosini or Gattuso.

Zeekay picks up a good point on Lampard, the fact that he's a regular goal scorer. When was the last time we had a central midfielder who scored reasonably consistently? Seedorf was never a big scorer, neither are Ambrosini or Gattuso, which only leaves Pirlo and apart from that one season where he got about 15 goals, he's been subdued at the back of our midfield.

If Lampard is available on this cheaper deal because he's in the third year of his contract, we'd be a bit foolish to not make an offer. Lampard - Pirlo - Flamini would have a mix of everything ... goal threat, passing, strong runners.

Well the problem is the money, currently Flamini is around the 30K a week mark and he wants something like atleast 70K a week. Arsenal are refusing to pay him that much because the only player who earns near enough that type of money at Arsenal is Gallas and as much as Flamini has improved that much money is too much.

Arsenal have so far said more of a 'take it or leave it' deal around the 50K mark and Flamini hasn't said anything, this year Flamini has transformed into a monster and as much as I respect him as a player I don't think I can respect him as a person. The way he left Marseille was really harsh, basically he was like Nasri born and bred in Marseille and just before he was about to sign a real contract he went back on his word and signed with Arsenal (basically a club giving him everything and he spat it back in their face.)

As much as he is a good player you can clearly see he's someone who went back on his word, however he's still worth it. Milan fans got to see him in action in both games and he was immense, no wonder there is all this talk about Fabregas & Flamini being the best ever cm partnership for Arsenal. I would be a little disappointed if he left, but I wouldnt feel as if it is the end of the world. Plus I think he's ancestry is Italian and he did mention somewhere that he would love to play in Italy, but I have a feeling that if he does leave for Italy he'll end up with Juve.

Capello had an interwiew and said Milan only needs few player, not a revolution, but we can afford to make mistakes in the mercato again...

Luca Toni had a preagrement with Milan but Milan canceled it, when asked about it Toni answered something like this: " I dont want to talk about it...I ahd a deal and a deal failed through."

But, Toni and Pirlo are something like best friends if you guys didnt know. I wouldnt be surprised if Milan goes for Zambrotta, Toni from onder players, and Flamini and some young midfielder - south american. Maybe even toni and sheva, who knows. But to me, it all sounds like Lippi is gathering his team again I hope so at least!

If Im not wrong, I think I heard something about Flamini being in Maldini's shirt in some press conference. A shirt that he got after the game. Paolo's maybe last european worn shirt We bought Flamini with that shirt you know

Indeed, he's already so mature for a 15yo. I hope he bulks up a little, if so he will definitely be a hell of a player. There's also that Jean Carlos Chera kid from that video from a couple of years ago, there hasn't been too much hype since then, but he got the top scorer and best player accolades in all of the tournaments he played for Santos, as an attacking midfielder. He's only 13 though lol. And there's Paulo Henrique PH10 from the Copa Sao Paulo, great prospect but for some reason he's being kept in the shadows of Thiago Luiz, Alemão and Carleto. And there's another small kid called Gabriel, I don't know much about him but people say he's the second most talented kid in the youth ranks, behind Jean Carlos and even in front of Neymar. And there's Kleber, the more established left-back. Why Dunga calls Gilberto up and forgets Kleber is beyond me.
