Dida for Adebayor? If that's the case we'd surely need another keeper as we can't go with just Kalac and possibly 1 from Storari or Abbiatti.

In addition to that list, i still think we would need another full-back (Vargas/Alves) and another midfielder (Lampard, Cigarini). If we could manage that, i'd be more than happy with Zambrotta, Alves, Lampard, Flamini, Adebayor & Shevchenko
It means "Dida out. Adebayor rejected".

The latest i know are:

Berlusconi said he wants to reduce the number of players, but having 17-18 first team possible regulars. We're not going to sign second rate pensioners anymore. We must have a worthy player coming from bench for every position.

I don't expect more than 5-6 signings.

- Amelia: 8 M........................................replacing Dida ( he will consensually solve his contract with the club, with a few millions as makeweight)

- Zambrotta: 8-10 M...........................replacing Cafu

- Flamini: free agent............................ replacing Gourcuff

- Shevchenko: 10M................................replacing Gilardino

- Vargas: 10M.......................................replacing Serginho

- Amauri: Borriello + 5 M as makeweight

or

- Toni: 15 M................................ replacing Ronaldo

--------------------------------------

- Darmian: from youth team (there's a new FIFA rule we have to keep an x number of players coming from our youth team).........................replacing Simic

- Serginho: he will retire...don't know if we'll sub him. Our full backs will be: Zambrotta, Jankulovski, Oddo, Favalli. A possible signing of a fast and young flanker is on the cards though: Vargas ?

- Gourcuff: loan ?

-Favalli: contract renewal

*****************************************************

TOTAL: more or less 50 M

ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
I mentioned Flamini a few months back as a potential target, and I maintain my stance that he would be a good signing (especially as Gattuso and Ambro will have a firm fight for their spots).

I think it's usually due to the football climate and the way Italian youngsters are brought up. Whilst most countries have always traditionally looked to develop technical skills of young players, tactical play is usually secondary.

In Italy, tactics are taught from a very young age, and tactical discipline is drilled into players. Usually technical skills develop at a slower pace, while other elements important to the Italian game (a strong physique) develop with age. Players maturing is also very important in Italy, as it will help their tactical game and they will be more knowledgeable of how to react to events in the game.

The players that have the most hype in Italy at an extremely young age (under 20) are usually highly technical players, like Pirlo, Totti, Nesta, Buffon, Maldini or Baggio. Others, like Gattuso, Perotta, Toni and even Baresi (to some degree) had their talents recognized later as their physique and maturity developed.

With good reason we didn't sign the Spaniard - Jose Mari, Javi Moreno, Mendieta, Farinos. They brain fart in Italy. They can't cope with the tactical play, and I doubt Torres would either.

Any reason why Adebayor is rejected? When weighing up age, threat, pace, strength etc, he's equal to Amauri or Drogba.

In terms of the players you mention, none of them offer an adequate Kaka or Pirlo replacement. We would surely need someone with some techincal skill, wether it's for a central midfield spot or an attacking midfield spot.

I would loan Gourcuff to Marseille, unless they are happy to have him & cash for Nasri.

How do you know this?

I believe in destiny. And I believe simply that Torres destiny was in Atletico and is in Liverpool now.

But to say he wouldn't play well in Italy... How do you know?

I say we spend and get Diego from Werder, Luisoa from Benfica, Flamini, Daniel Carvalho from CSKA, Dani Alves and Sheva. We can recall Boriello and the others who are having greats seasons on loan. We can give away Gila, Favalli, Cafu, Simic and Serginho. That will cost us less than what it would take to get R10 and only a about 33% of what our major rivals are going to spend to strengthen their already strong squads.

It logically obvious if you're going to replace Favalli with Daniel Alves, you'll have few moneys for the other players.

Well I think we should have a look at the Bosnian Miralem Pjanic from Mertz. Wenger and Real MAdrid are looking at him. He is the future of football.
