Attending Milan matches

no you don't need to be a local.. i'm not a local and i was able to buy a ticket for the milan-roma game using my jordanian passport.. if the game is in milan u just go to a milan point (official milan store) and buy the ticket from there.. but u need to bring ur passport (or some form of authentic identification) with you

My attempts to get tickets to Milan-Arsenal are backfiring one after another.
Antares-hotels did not have any tickets left,
so I was hoping that my Rome-living colleague would get the tickets.
She went to six Banca Intesa offices, and some of them did not even know what she was talking about when she asked for tickets, others had already sold out their "preallocated quota of paper tickets".

I thought that one could go to any Banca Intesa office in Italy
and ask if there were any tickets left. If there were, the bank teller would then take the buyer's personal information and would print the ticket from the computer. Obviously I was wrong. Well, life is a learning process

Now I'm asking from those living in Italy if there has been anything in the papers that Milan-Arsenal is officially sold out.

At the moment my options seem to be: Try to buy the tickets from some Internet ticket agency and pay 200-300 euros.
Or wait until Saturday and go to Milan Point and see if they have any tickets left.

Does Milan Point have same kind of system as Banca Intesa that they only get a certain amount of preprinted paper tickets or can they sell tickets from their computer system as long as there are any tickets left?

The tickets are sold out. I went to Banca Intesa the first day the tickets were sold, and i barely got a couple. The day after there were just 3rd ring tickets available.

Banca Intesa are many times reluctant in offering ticket services. You have to complain and scare them. They HAVE TO print tickets, no matter how boring it is for them. I think many assistents think it's a bore to go and take the matrix on which they have to print your date with the computer, and wait until the data are accepted.

Don't give up. I heard that you can take them from touts, and get your data changed at the boxes outside the stadium, but i point out that i'm not sure about this news, and you better inform yourself to the boxes outside the stadium before buying a ticket from touts.

I decided to buy the tickets using a company called sports emotions.
215e category 1 ticket.
Delivery to the hotel.
But as we say here in Finland, I believe it when I see it (When I actually hold the tickets in my hands.)

Anyways, thanks for all who have helped me on this ticket issue.
I'll fly to Milan on Friday and try to get tickets to Milan-Lazio on Saturday.

Thanks for the advice. I have booked the trip to Milan on the 29th March for three nights, so we will definitely be looking to take in the Atalanta game on the 30th.

When you say 'Milan point', what do you mean? Is this at the stadium? I heard that you can buy tickets at the banks but they will be closed on Sunday so would getting tickets at the San Siro be easiest?

Yeah, I arrive Saturday night too, so i'm in the same boat as you.

Also, where do people recommend we get tickets? I don't want to spend too much and would like to be in a noisier part of the ground.

ive been told that there are ticket offices open a few hours before kick off im sure if people go all the time they would know if this is the case. im going to the caglari (not sure on spelling) game on the 5/6 th april, ive been offered tickets from season ticket holders but have to change name and stuff at ground, so thought would be cheaper and also able to choose better seats. dont fancy waiting around after game so does anybody know if taxis are easy to get by the ground back to central train station and cost apox! thanks!

We tried to get tickets to Milan-Lazio-game from both Milan Points.
In the San Fedele shop "computers were offline",
so they said they were unable to sell tickets.

In the other Milan Point "tickets were sold out".
I have a hard time understanding how tickets can be sold out,
since the stadium was like half full.

The only explanations I can come up with are:

Either the guy did not want to take the trouble of selling tickets to foreigners
suspecting that we did not have a fiscal code (although we had actually made codes for ourselves on the Internet).

Or Milan Point is given a preordained number of paper tickets (which was the explanation that was given to my colleague who tried to buy tickets in Banca Intesa offices in Rome) and after the quota of paper tickets is sold, Milan Point does not get more of them.

However, the "our computers are offline" explanation that was given to me at the other Milan Point suggests that Milan Point does actually have access to a computer system through which they can sell tickets as long as there are seats available in the stadium.
But, since the computers were conveniently offline,
I cannot tell whether such a computer system exists...

We went to the stadium an hour before the kick off and got our tickets showing our passports. No fiscal code was needed.

If Milan's opponent is not one of the top teams,
I would recommend buying the tickets at the stadium ticket office.
This is probably the easiest way,
since buying tickets in advance seems to very difficult in Italy,
at least for a foreigner.

I apologize the negative tone of my posting,
but the ticket acquisition process was quite frustrating
and I felt like I was being lied to.

Well when I went to the Milan and Arsenal game there were many touts selling tickets outside the stadium.

Hello raulrdz, it seems we have almost the same need.
I am italian, and living in Italy (far from Milan).
I need to buy a Milan-Vs-Inter ticket for a spanish friend and his father, who are going to come here directly and then get to Milan just in time for the match. I never have been to the stadium and never thought it was such a hell to buy 2 simple tickets!!! I can't buy them in a Banca cause they ask me for a italian fiscal document of the ticket owner (!). Of course I can't tell my friends "just go to Milan and get your way for the tickets"! Can they get it in Barcelona or in the Internet? Can I get two tickets for me and then change the owner? Please take in consideration that one of them is just 17 years old. At the Milan site I had NO help. Please help me, so I can help two real *MILANISTI*!!!
