So now let's hope that Inter beats Juventus ...
Thanks to such a result, we would be 4 points behind Fiorentina and 6 points behind Juventus, so we would have 2 targets, knowing that we will have to play against Juventus.

Gila just seems not beening able to score, he had the chance. Anyways not a convincing display but enough for the 3 points.

You still blame Gila whereas today, the goal came from him, Pato just had to push the ball, and I'm even not sure that the ball needed to be touched by Pato when you watch how the defenser plays the ball ...

Gila had a 1 on 1!!!
I assume any Milan striker should be able to score in that case!
Although Seedorf missed 2 brilliant chances as well!
And if it wasn't for Gila - Pato wouldn't score...

Yes, leave Gila alone today since he did just enough for us to get the 3 points. Im thinking there will be plenty of times in the future where we can blame him, so let him have a day off.

Kalac - 6.5 (nothing amazing but enough not to take a goal)
Oddo - 6.5 (nothing amazing too, but no mistake)
Nesta - 7 (was sure behind)
Kaladze - 6.5 (one or two mistakes)
Maldini - 7.5 (the only man on the first half, a bit tired in second half)
Gattuso - 6.5 (ummmh, could have done better)
Pirlo - 7 (tried to push in the second half)
Ambro - 6.5 (same that Gattuso)
Pato - 6.5
Gila - 6.5

For Pato and Gila, it could be 7, they played an average good match, but they missed some things they mustn't miss anymore !!

I forgot one guy lol:
Seedorf - 6.5 (worst than last week, better than wednesday, but not a high level today)

The only thing Pato missed was a deflected shot and a couple of important passes, and the ball-hogger tag doesn't aplly to this game too, two of the best 3 assists in this game came from him:

1) Gila to Pato's goal.
2) Pato to Gila's 1 on 1.
3) Pato to Seedorf's shot.

There's no reason he shouldn't receive a good rating for this game. And you also forgot Seedorf, my MOM despite wasting 2 good chances.

Pato had a really really good second half, his assist to Seedorf was phenomenal!! Seedorf played alright but then in the second half he started to suck big time and missed a couple of chances (one of which he should have scored)..

Pato also had a wonderful assist to Gila (who did well to FINALLY leave his marker) and then missed the 1on1 (but it was really credit to the goalkeeper).. Pato also had other impacts on the game, he played well..

The goal I have to say was 90% Gila, he came there and snatched the ball from the keeper, went round him and shot (a very bad shot though), but thankfully Pato was there to score it... and NO, it would NOT have went it if Pato was there, the defender would have cleared it..so Pato deserves a little credit too. Gila was bad for most of the game today but after he missed the chance Pato assisted, he slowly started moving more and getting more into the game (havent seen that in a few months), but after the goal, he then returned to his useless self..

I dont see anyone here giving credit to Kaladze for that amazing tackle? or what about anyone thanking Kalac for that amazing save when Di Michele (i think) was 1 on 1 with him at the end?

Good win despite having to struggle for the result. The referee today stopped the game far too often in the first half, but improved in the second and let things flow a little more. Torino certainly didn't make things easy, but we deserved the win.

The first half was a dull affair with few chances, and neither side really threatening. As I've said I think the referee played a hand in this, but also our dominance in possession was no help, as we played far too slowly.

The second half was an improvement, as Gila acted better as the focus up front and Pato got in to positions where he was able to cause more damage. We played at a faster pace and really the chances streamed in. Torino had their threats, but we dealt with most without too many problems.

Players...

Kalac - Solid, one shaky moment
Oddo - Form has definitely improved a little of late, today he provided better service and timed his runs
Nesta - Solid, glad to have him back
Kaladze - Not fantastic but not bad
Maldini - One of our best players, still outshines every other fullback we have
Rino - Poor, wasn't really ever in the game and lacked his energy (I hope he improves soon)
Ambro - Solid, but didn't have the quality going forward, however there can be few complaints
Seedorf - Should have scored a couple but his showing was a massive improvement compared to Samp. That said he's still capable and responsible to do much much more.
Pato - Slow start but improved through the game, always a threat and good poaching for the goal.
Gila - A few missed opportunities (1v1, that volley when Pato was free in the middle). That said, I have few complaints, he worked hard and did great for the goal, even though still isn't performing as well as we want.
Brocchi - Fantastic move by Carlo, as this was the first time this season Brocchi really performed. A big improvement over Rino today.
Favalli - Solid replacement for Maldini.
Emerson - NA

We didn't do too badly today, even if we weren't great. We still look nervous, but at least we didn't fall apart. Overall a massive improvement over Samp and we must look to build on this.

FORZA MILAN!!!!

I'm not blaming him for anything, he missed few chances. But hey this is a improvment for him. In the last three games I was not able to locate Gila on the field while he was on the field playing.

I'm sorry to say this but I think that if Pato didnt push that ball in it may not go in. Defender was there and also it may hit the post, take a look at the replay. But all in all we got the 3 points.

Calciomercato says that Milan is trying to renew Serginhos contract who is 37 and Cafu's contract who is going to be 38 in June. These guys are good players and did good things for as but this is pathetic what Milan is doing.
