More we approach the summer mercato, more the names of the targets are prestigious ?! lol
If Ronaldinho, Sheva, Berbatov (who admitted that Milan was interested, I'd prefer Milan to admit it lol), Ramos ... what a (possible) mercato !! Now, I just hope we won't just get back Sheva and Oliveira (proclaimed when he came as the new Sheva lol) and guys from loan ... |

Admittedly the rumours surrounding our mercato and more importantly the statements Galliani and Berlu are making are concerning me.
Ronaldinho I feel could be a very good buy, one that would bring a lot of excitement within the club and could be highly successful with regards to our performances, although there are still risks including his drop in form and shape, party like attitude and inability to play with Kaka (though I have hopes all can be improved). This transfer, I fully support though. Zambrotta is another almost completed signing if rumours are to be believed. Again, there is a risk involved, considering his form at Barca and his age. However, there is hope that we can have a positive influence on him like we did with Cafu and getting him playing up to his normal standards for a few years yet, but I fear I may be wrong. However, he alone is not the solution to our fullback problems, and I cannot fathom how anyone can justify us not needing another quality fullback, considering the performances of Oddo and Janku (our current starting fullbacks) this season. I support this acquisition, but I cannot accept us buying him alone. Vargas for me is a strong option, considering his performances and consistency for Catania. Sheva I simply think is a bad choice. He left and clearly has left a sour taste in the mouths of some figures at the club. In addition to this, his career has been nose diving since he left us and he doesn’t look a shadow of who he was. He can only be bought in as a squad player should Gila leave (if he’s bought as a solution to our attacking problems, then I can only assume the management have completely lost their mind). Even then, off the bench we really need someone who is solid and reliable, even if not technically great (a Tomasson so to speak), and Sheva is not currently a solid or reliable option. Added to this, at 32 (for a striker), there’s very little hope we can do a great deal with him. I feel this transfer is a backward step for the club and a major risk (we already have two risks with Dinho and Zamro as it is), and seriously think we need to reconsider this decision, as we can probably get another striker for a similar price who’s more stable than Sheva. Even if we get Sheva, we’ll still need a world class forward to lead our attack. Then there’s the Abbiati returning rumours. Again, for me this is a risk because as good as Abbiati is as a shot stopper, he’s never been a particularly stable keeper, bringing uncertainty. However, he’s still a step up from Dida and Kalac right now, two majorly error prone keepers and at 30 should be coming close to his peak. Some signs, like his time at Juve, suggest he’s a good option, but I personally don’t feel he’s consistently performed at that level through his career (maybe the early years with us). Amelia is the other name thrown in with us, but I’ve never been totally convinced by him. However, saying all this I am possibly being a little harsh on these guys, as my standards are maybe too high. I want a replacement for Dida, but I’m sure like many, I’m thinking of who could replace Dida of a few years ago, when he was one of the best keepers in the world. I’m only for this signing if, and only if, there is some certainty that any of these two options will be solid and dependable, irrespective of how good they are at making spectacular saves. I think these are the names that look most certain to join us next season, and I think only Ronaldinho really excites me. Zambrotta is a short term solution, but not really looking towards the future and Sheva and Abbiati/Amelia don’t exactly fill me with confidence. The most worrying factor of all of these players is that every one of them is currently struggling (well, maybe not the GKs), and 2 of the three outfield players are already on the wrong side of 30. We’ve made these kinds of signings for many years now and really it’s not a positive sign that these are the names we’re most commonly associated with, as it would mean our market strategy is the same as it has been in the last few years. If we buy these players, I’d still argue we’d need another fullback (Vargas is my pick), midfielder possibly (someone like Flamini or even Sammarco) and a potentially world class striker as a bear minimum (that’s not including a CB if Maldini retires). It’s still early days, but if these are the kinds of signings we can expect, I fear that we will see the same problems next season (or in the near future). |

![]() Finally if they did buy him for that price, it wouldn't take long for Real to recoup the transfer fee through shirt sales, image rights, etc. @ payne, it's £100 million or 120 million euros.

Sheva would be the best squad player we could have, he's able to play everywhere in attack. Of course we'll need to sign another striker, not just Sheva, I think Boriello will suit us pretty good on Gila's place. Look, we already have 2 very good young strikers, Pato and Paloschi, who just lack experience. Until they grow, he could use some experienced players (so called "short term solutions") along with the youngsters. Pato will learn some stuff from Sheva, Paloschi from Pippo and after 2-3 years (when Pippo's and Sheva's careers will be over) we will have 2 young strikers with enough experience to lead our attack. You know, the best way to have success is to have a mixture from the freshness of the young players and the experience of the older players. ![]() That's why I think we could only benefit from Sheva's return. I think 5 forward will suit us - Pato, Paloschi, Sheva, Inzaghi and Boriello. ![]()

No to ES, Yes to R10, Zambrotta, Flamini, Zapata, Frey, Borriello, Vargas, then add some youngsters like Marzoratti, Di Gennaro. Our problems are obvious imo. WC Keeper, WC forward, WC CD, then international class WB, + subs. We really need a box to box mid too.

I would also like to say that it would be nice to loan out players like Paloschi and Di Gennaro to play some first team football next season. Milan did wrongly to loan Di Gennaro to Bologna as he doesnt play oftenly there! We need to make deals with clubs and ask for regular space for loaned players.
Also, some reports ( calciomercato ) say Milan will soon announce Ronaldinho deal. I cant wait for that moment as Dinho is a brilliant player and aldough he had horrible year I can see him playing better in Milan and Milanello. So is this the new Milan ?: --------------Shevchenko---- ---------Ronaldinho --Kaka'----- ------------Flamini-----Gattuso--- -------------------Pirlo-------- ---Zambrotta-Kaladze-Nesta-?-- -------------------GK?---------- Those players will not be expencive, except Dinho's wages. And we BADLY need another fullback with Zambrotta to arrive. Vargas, Pasquale, Lahm, Alves... The best think with Dinho coming is that we could use Seedorf čike we did with Rui - in less matches but with more quality! And that would be a BIG plus for Milan! Yoan is out I assume.Anmd so is Gila.

not all the milanistas share your opinion. And forget about Berbatov, he's too expensive, Tottenham would ask at min Euro 40 mln., if not more... ![]()

![]() If we had to have the players you mentioned mrki, i would love for us to try this formation instead for a few games. --------------Shevchenko---------- ---Ronaldinho ----Pirlo----Kaka'----- ------------Flamini-----Gattuso----- ---Zambrotta-Kaladze-Nesta-Eboue--- It would lessen Kaka's impact i guess but in the plus column it would make Pirlo more of a goal threat and give us a much more stable defensive platform allowing the full-backs to get forward more as there'd be more cover. If anything at least it would be a 'plan b' if things were not going right with our usual formation.

But have you guys noticed the way Berlusconi threats Carlo Ancelotti?? If this man ( Carlo ) has any selfrespect (which I cant see in him ) he would leave Milan now. Carlo said milion time she doesnt want Sheva, lied that he "wouldnt fit in the sistem" and in a TV show called him a TRAITOR in public... And Silvio says he will sign Sheva no matter what Carlo thinks becouse now "he is talking, not Carlo Ancelotti..." -------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/?action=read&id=99911 soon my firends, soon... ![]()
